The link you posted is in Chinese and its a download link, what I am interested in the update notes in English I got the update don't need to download it

I hope some one can translate it in to English. I got it today on my Chinese import 703L

The most significant update in there is the latest patch from Google which I think is the stage fright patch.
Sent from my HUAWEI P8max using Tapatalk

A very loose translation.....
Huawei P8Max Android6.0 + EMUI4.0 is being measured, only to upgrade to version B029 (this later) users can enroll, please pay attention to forum registration below
Split-screen, adds more than 200 support for split-screen applications
Very low probability (under slim specific scenarios) repair prostrate long MMS hyperlink unrecognized problem out network problems
Optimizing system performance, enhance fluency of the system stability under part of the scene to solve the special low probability scenario reboot or crash problems (optimization) fit into google the latest security patches, enhanced system stability

Ah nice nice. My p8max is imported from China as well.
Any one has any idea where we can find the translated versions maybe in general? Maybe for future updates etc.

I am not talking regarding the FW, the update notes are always in Chinese if you imported, i am interested in knowing if there is a way/place to always read the update notes in English

Thanks in advance and regards from switzerland
SWATTIE
nope, and the international version doesnt have all the features that that chinese one has!
Which features do you mean? I missing the possibility to sync my Google contacts
Double Tap to wake I think, but not sure some people here talk about thinks that they are missing on the 701 Version that I have on my 703 Version.
I have unlocked my Bootloader and flashed GAPPS so I dont have the problem to sync my Google Contacts.
But some people wrote here you can download these APPS from the Huawei App Market too...

Just asked the same question to Huawei UK, here is their reply
Dear Customer,*
Thank you for contacting Huawei UK Customer Care.*
Regarding your query, unfortunately we will not be able to assist. However, there should be several forums that cover this process. Moreover, I can tell you that there is a chance that the phone will not work within optimal parameters even with a changed ROM because the hardware itself is a bit different than the one European devices have.*
Best of luck and may you have a great weekend!*
Kind regards,
Tony

Is it possible to Sitch from Chine ROM to European ROM?

Hello,
I've buy an imported Huawei Mate 9, wich runs a Chinese ROM
I can switch to my native tongue (French), but some apps, especially Huawei apps, have chinese option. Furthermore the dialer with Yellow Page is kinda boring.
I've read some article saying that Google Apps may not work on Chine ROM
It's also seems that 4G is slower than with my Huawei Mate 8 in European or International ROM
Is there a way to switch to a European ROM? if it's possible how to do it?
Cordially
Right now, without unlocking the bootloader, it IS possible to install European build 115 (somewhat older build). But it has many, many bugs because the device doesn't match the firmware. I wouldn't recommend doing it.

You think it will be possible in a near future to have an European Build without bugs?
Thanks for the answer
But here is no way to install an Update manuelly On Mate 9

Awesome news!
Yaaay but still we need custom roms or at least a proper root for the device
I wonder if desktop mode will be available as in media pad m5
You think we will still get Pie due to ban?

The update is for both M5 10.8" and M5 Lite 10.1"
Has anyone received the update?
Has anyone received this update ?
Spoke to Swedish support and they said that M5 lite was not scheduled to be updated to emui9.1
/Jakob
I didn't received Pie till this moment (Germany) Latest update was only a security patch for Orego.
Last hope, that an update jump direct to 9.1

Spoke to Norwegian support, they said Android 9 would come, but they did not have a date yet.
According to the UK support the Mediapad M5 Lite is not scheduled to receive Android 9 upgrade, only confirmed for M5 and M5 Pro.
I will never buy a Huawei device again. Only a single Android version, what a shame...
Hi guys
I'm going to buy it, could you check if 9.0.1 update is available now?
I found the guide on romprovider.com (google romprovider.com huawei mediapad m5 lite jordan2), I cannot send the URL due to guest restrictions.
Thx

As far as I know there is no 9.0.1 update.
Still a good tablet that I would consider if going for a new one.

Thx for the advise Joakob, I'm going to pay 180€ for it.
I also found a German guide to install custom ROMs. Just google "android-hilfe.de Custom Roms MediaPad M5 Lite".
I will be wonder if someone already tried to do this
Yes, thats my Guide.. But there are two different Tabs. One is main, it`s an BAH2-W19C432 and the new one is BAH2-W19C431. The guide in android-hilfe.de is only for BAH2-W19C432 cause maybe you need to revert your Firmware to an older one.

good to know mcc, thx for your guide, if I'll try it I'd like to add a specific topic on xda
Just to add a comment about tab versions and its latest firmware: I bought mine from Amazon.de for about 200 euros a couple weeks ago, and indeed it's the newer C431, running v215 firmware (still emui 8.0).
Pretty dumb, because it's my understanding that CUST 431 is for potentially-branded phones (not this) and 432 is the open, "unlocked" European version (should be this case). I heard C432 devices tend to get faster updates, so if anyone has information about switching my C431 to C432, I'm all ears.

Firmware update China vs Global(firmware only)

What's the difference of Global vs China firmware(only)?
I flashed Chinese and works as expected, China's firmware seems to be of newer version compared to global
Source: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com
No one knows? hmmm
Hey,
Yeah the Chinese version is mostly newer 1-2 versions.
The differences:
Only Chinese and English language.
Google services aren't included.
Some bloatware/alternatives apps for the Chinese market are pre installed.
Xi voice assist as default voice assistant (only in Chinese language)
Some minor things I forgot. But that's it.

Well as said "firmware" only, so what language or google services are you talking about? ..I'm running LineageOS. Again "FIRMWARE" only update
P.S. I guess no one knows in XDA Community as I've seen no real replies, people read this and move away as they actually can't reply to this. MIUI International vs Chinese sure, easy to spot or guess the differences but Global vs Chinese firmware? ..firmware is for the proper function of the cell phone, bluetooth, proximity sensor, wifi etc. Why there is Global and Chinese version is my question, should be just 1 version of firmware?
Really don't think there is any difference in the firmware. They include firmware with every rom and there is no hardware difference so no reason it would be different.

I would agree with you although there is global firmware and Chinese firmware and Chinese always is ahead in version
P.S. So if u flash MIUI global would have older firmware compare to Chinese MIUI. Wonder why they don't use the same firmware as the firmware shouldn't be language related
P.S.2 Just flashed latest v9.8.22 Chinese firmware on my latest LineageOS, everything is good
Now I'm on 9.9.3(China), everything works just fine in LineageOS

I've done quite a bit of research into this. It's not a simple process as for example Xiaomi.
It will involve resizing the system partition among other partitions.

No sorry, this was a tangent regarding the RMX2075 (UK) getting the RMX2076EU update which was posted on the UK site.
Probably they just named it wrong. Sorry, I don't have the RMX2017 (CN) (but isn't it 2071 lol).
Just as an interest, what's wrong with the CN version?

As per my first analysis, RM2071 (CN) did not bring the majority of the languages (in my case, I need PT), just CN, EN and other two or three asian languages. It does not have Google Play store although it is possible to install it separatedly.
Finally there are many CN apps that comes together and when using EN, some untranslated texts in CN are still appearing in many screens.

Google maps Timeline can not be enabled on RMX2071(CN) version.
Disappointed with Chinese Rom
I also own a RMX2071 version.
To be honest I'm disappointed as my expectations with this phone were too high.
Here are my remarks:
Breeno is only in Chinese and you cannot download EU voices,
Global search is only retrieving Chinese news,
Impossible to fully replace Breeno with Google Assistant (shortcut will still launch Breeno instead of GA, GA will not produce notification sound when activated...)
Some software and some rare options are not translated in my language (I set the FR language and still Chinese texte)
Security check is done for all app you are downloading from Google store (which leads sometimes to Play Store crash)
Google Chrome is freezing from time to time
I need to switch mobile data off and on to get back internet (specially after leaving the phone locked for a while).
I need to switch mobile data off and on right after a call or I'll not be able to get Internet...
Regards
