I've had this issue with my Nexus S on CM7 for a while now (well I've only had the phone for about a month) but only recently realized it was probably Android or my phone that was the problem.
What happens is I'll be browsing web sites whether it be in the stock browser or Dolphin HD and internet just stops responding. I would open 2-3 sites and after that, nothing else would load. The green loading bar would go about 1/8th of the way and just stops. Eventually, it typically starts working again later on as I usually just give up and go on with my day.
I always figured it was my providers data connection being unreliable but the other day, I set it to wifi and it did the same thing. I would even load the same sites in my iPhone4 side by side with my Nexus S and the iPhone would load the sites just fine while the Nexus just seems stuck.
These other threads seem to have the same issue without being resolved

I rooted and installed CM7 pretty much as soon as I got the phone so it's hard to say whether the issue is with this ROM or what exactly. I also use the TEUV-Trinity kernel by morfic.
I realize this is a fairly broad issue. Was wondering if anyone else as experienced this and if you could help pinpoint the issue, that would be great.
I'll also add that shutting down and removing the battery for a few minutes seems to fix the problem for a while. Browsing is nice and quick afterwards.
Thanks
So for the past 10 days or so, my Focus has really hit the dump and hasn't let me see not even 10 seconds of video on 3G (Full signal btw), can't stream music from MetroRadio, Last.FM for more than 10-15 seconds, and take a really long time to load websites.
It worked fine before, plenty good infact. I would hit 2-5 mbps on a good day. Lately though, nothing I do about it fixes the problem.
I have called AT&T about 3 times, when today, finally decided to visit a Warranty Center of theirs in San Antonio, TX, which is 4 hours from here. We don't have one locally, so I have to drive to another city.
Was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems with the Focus? Does it have poor radio cells? Voice and text works perfectly good, just data.
AT&T themselves have reset their network around me, nothing has changed.
They reset my phone about 2-3 times, nothing has changed.
They replaced my SIM card, nothing has changed.
Anyone experiencing a problem or suggest anything? I really would like everything to be working again.
For references if anyone is curious, I'm hitting 0.30-0.60 mbps. Slower than EDGE, which is unacceptable!
Anyone? Really would appreciate the help, please.
Have you tried messing around with the diagnosis menu? If you haven't, it's worth a shot.
Install the diagnosis app by typing in ##634# into the phone keypad. Then, open up the diagnosis app and enter in *#32489#. Hit the back button (on screen, not hardware back button) until you see the option 8 that says phone control. From this screen, press 8,3,5,2,3,[END]. Then restart. If you couldn't follow these instructions, here is the original post. You can also try the dual mode detailed in that same post. Good luck!
Yes, I have tried all the diagnostic codes I could find to fix, but nothing has changed. I have also done all types of resets, (Soft, Hard, Full, Flash original stock rom) but nothing has changed..
My only other guess would be that you got throttled by ATT due to high data usage. My brother was throttled and began getting around 0.5 down. However, you said that you have tried working with ATT on the problem so that can't be it..
I have had 3g slowness too the past month or so. I have tried using the device codes to change the speed of the 3g and that seemed to help a bit. But the odd thing i notice alot is that if I plugin my headphones it sometimes gets very slow after that to the point that I can barely text message or receive emails. At that point i have to reboot the phone and then the speed goes back to normal.
If your phone is slow, try rebooting it and see if that fixes your speed.
I'm having this problem on my tmobile s6 where my phone screen will freeze randomly but it only happens anytime i lose connection to wifi. When the phone unfreezes, it always shows that I now connected to my wifi network. Am i the only one experiencing this. Im on xtrestolite rom (tmo version) , stock kernel
Did you ever find a solution to this?
My Verizon Galaxy s6 started doing this randomly 2 days ago. While looking at the wifi screen, it will toggle itself off and then back on, sometimes as much as every 20 seconds. If i'm in an app the whole phone hangs and becomes unresponsive for 10 seconds or so. Seems fine when it isn't actually connected to wifi.
I haven't updated or added apps recently. I tried a factory reset and it seemed fine, but when I put all my stuff back on the phone it started doing it again.
After updating my z5p to 6.0.1 a few days ago, I'm having an issue when my device is on wifi. It'll take forever to load pages on chrome or update message on apps such as line or skype. Browsing reddit takes 10-20 seconds to load pages too. If I switch wifi off and use mobile data, everything is instant and fast. Doing the speedtest, my results will take 10 seconds to start and it'll display my normal internet speeds. Anyone know what the issue is? I've tried wiping cache so far, and factory restore too.

Problem has existed for most people since the start and the crappy Sony developers still haven't fixed it.
Hello.
So I recently got a Snapdragon S10e, and I'm facing a (what is to me) pretty strange issue, that the phone itself seems to be causing.
So when it's connected to the home's WiFi, it causes the whole fiber optics line (so it's at the very least at router level) to intermitently be unable to connect to Google specifically.
What happens is I'm on the computer, open whatever browser and get timeout errors while trying to search on google, or youtube doens't work quite right... That kind of thing. Or will get a lot of timeouts on a tracert to 8.8.8.8.
The phone also starts to throw "no internet on this WiFi" kind of errors.
I can access everything else on the web, though, it's just Google that gets screwed. It ocasioanlyl throws a QUIC protocol error, although of course disabling it on, say, chrome, does nothing (as it's not a browser problem).
Then any number of seconds (up to a minute or 2) pass, and everything reconnects and starts working normally. Then it will happen again at any moment, any number of times.
I suspected the phone cause it started to happen at the time I got it, but of course it could've been a coincidence. Sure enough though, today I left the phone's WiFi turned off, and the issue hasn't happened. Internet working fine all day.
It's like the phone overwhelmes the router with something to google¿?¿? I don't know.
Edit: Ok, so connecting to 5G WiFi instead of 2.4 doens't cause the problem. What the hell.
