In case of a bootloop, I suggest you download a new rom and install it via twrp's file manager, using a pendrive/otg pendrive. Else, your can flash the stock motorola firmware using fastboot. that method always works in case of softbrick.

Tried to reflash twrp?

Hey, thank you the problem was solved but then I installed CyanogenMod 13.0 on my moto g. After a day of use the phone automatically stopped working and i restarted it. Didnt display screen after CyanogenMod animation. I booted into TWRP recovery, was backing up data into a usb otg when the backup failed and the phone rebooted itself. Now it doesnt even display the CyanogenMod startup animation. I tried to enter twrp recovery again. It shows the main blue screen with twrp written on it but doesnt proceed further instead it restarts. I tried flashing twrp recovery again but the same problem persists. please help me out

Try flashing stock ROM, then again TWRP and CM13 via TWRP. I suggest this version of TWRP (NOTHEME version!).

nexus 5 stuck in fast boot

So yesteday i decided to instal cyanogenmod in my nexus 5. I downloaded the latest nighly version in my phone (unlocked bootloader and rooted).I open twrp, i made factory reset and wiped cache partition and then went ahead to install cyanogen but unfortunatly i had an error:no md5 file found. I google it and i found that this may work with cwm. So i tried to install it with this one this time but again an error saying that i need a bootloader hhz12d but had hhz12f. So i flash the needed bootloader but my phone then couldnt open recovery mode (it reacted like i hadnt intall a custom recovery at all) so i wasnt able to intall the cyanogenmod. At last i flashed again my previous bootloader hoping that its gonna fix the prob but now i have stuck in fastboot unable to neither to boot or go in recovery mod.
Any ideas guys? Please help me Im disappointed i dont know what to do.
Have you tried flashing twrp or cwm again?

That means you dont have the drivers installed or the windows have some driver issues or the usb port on the pc is broken or the usb port on the phone is broken or the usb cable is broken or the bootloader fails to change to usb port settings to bootloader mode.
Do you see any new device in device manager when you connect the phone in bootloader mode to your PC?
What is the new device's name? Is it unknown device? Is there an exclamation mark before the new device's name?

Stuck with Samsung Logo after installing TWRP

Hi,
I decided to root and installed a custom recovery on my G920l.
The root went fine and I installed TWRP but once I tried to reboot into the recovery my phone has frozen and doesnt want to turn off.
I don't get what I did wrong and how to fix it or at least how to turn the phone off?
Thanks
I just figured out how to restart it holding power + volume down but I guess my TWRP doesnt work...
Try to Flash stock kernal for fix stuck on boot.
The phone is booting fine but I guess the recovery still doesnt work.
And TWRP keep failing to install the custom recovery ???

Hi guys, i have a g920f with 5.1.1.
Installed twrp 2.8.7.1 and i want to install a custom rom. To copy the rom on the phone, in the past on galaxy s4, i used to reboot in recovery twrp, then wipe everything and copy the rom file on the phone.
Now with twrp 2.8.7.1 and S6 when i reboot in recovery mode i'm not able to copy any file on the phone because i don't see the phone in windows explorer.
I think is twrp mtp problem, do you have the same issue? any workaround?
thanks in advance

I can't root my OS12 !

And I have no idea why. Before I downloaded the newest update I upgraded my TWRP to the latest version. After the update I tried first to install SuperSU via google store but didnt work so i downloaded the installable zip and tried through TWRP. All I get is : E: failed to verify whole-file signature; E: signature verification failed.
Tried the old SuperSu that always worked (2.02) but I get the same bug.
I think the problem is that instead of TWRP when i start my phone with start button + vol down it gets into CYANOGEN recovery. I just installed TWRP ver 2.8.5.1 but its not working =/ dont know what to do, help please

You need to resinstall TWRP, just after you have done so, reboot back to TWRP instead of rebooting the whole system. Once back in TWRP you can flash SuperSU again, then reboot and you should be fine. Also make sure you have the cyanogen recovery option unticked under developer settings.

Once it flashes, are you rebooting back into recovery first (without switching off, fully rebooting, anything else)? You should boot into TWRP and then you can reboot fully, it should be fine. If you just reboot out of TWRP after flashing the it gets overwritten by the stock cyanogen recovery.
After completing the TWRP flash in ABD run the following command.
Code:
adb reboot recovery

Im doing what Im told, so - After the phone has booted back up, turn it off. Now to enter your newly installed custom recovery, hold volume down + power. The phone should boot into recovery mode.
Wish I wasnt so braindead on this field =/ and the cyanogen recovery welcomes me every time
okay so instead of fastboot reboot command i should write the one you gave me? gonna try
EDIT: ERROR, DEVICE NOT FOUND
yeah, i was doing it wrong but i did it right this time and it is still not working. Have my usb debugging on
Is it possible that after the update i dont have the bootloader anymore?

Okay. I tried and tried but failed. I have no idea what to do anymore. Downloaded new drivers for pc and new fastboot, tried like 15times to flash twrp on my phone and seemingly it worked but when I rebooted, turned it off and on again with volume - it's always cyanogen recovery there, never twrp. I downloaded twrp manager but it won't work because it requires root and I can't root because manager won't work. Saw on oneplus forum that some people have exact same problem but there S been no solution so far and I have no idea what to do anymore. The only thing I haven't tried yet is to hold start+volume- keys after I flash twrp and reboot the phone using the code, so instead of having to turn it off and on again maybe I ll be able to get into the twrp instantly and it won't get overwritten by cyanogen recovery.

OK so i am experiencing the EXACT same issues. When I go into Fastboot Mode all I get is a small cyanogen head forllowed by the words 'FASTBOOT MODE' I get no menu to navigate or anything. TWRP appears to install but I get Cyanogen recover every time. If I use the toolkit and go to fastboot mode it sees it as an unlocked fastboot device but will not allow me to root the device.

After flashboot reboot do not let phone turn on again but use the start + volume- combination, it will take you to twrp. Found the solution finally but I still have some issues with graphics and Google account =/

My OPO won't let me boot into recovery!

I have a huge problem. After having a lot of issues rooting my device, I downgraded to COS11s and was finally able to root and install TWRP.
After that I tried to install Sultan's latest build, which failed. I then installed the latest CM12.1 Nightly (which is what he recommends if the installtion failes) and right after that his build, which worked - finally. I installed Gapps and rebooted.
I noticed I hadn't installed supersu and wanted to reboot to recovery to do so - but now it just won't boot into recovery! My phone turns on and boots straight to the lockscreen. I tried the button combination, the advanced reboot menu - everything. It just won't boot into recovery. I even reinstalled the recovery via fastboot (which supposedily was successful), but the problem remains.
Flashify doesn't even show an installed recovery!
HELP!

Tried using adb yet? If you haven't, give it a try. If you don't have it set up, you can find several threads on how to do it, from full installs to small zip files. Considering you have fastboot working I assume abd also. Make sure USB debugging is on, plug your phone up and allow USB debugging when the prompt is displayed on your phone. Then adb reboot recovery.
Not familiar with what build you are on, some require you to enable root access mode from developer options, might check that also.

Thanks for you answer. I have adb set up. USB debugging is on. I will try adb reboot recovery. The weird thing is, it doesn't even boot into stock recovery (My first thought was that the phone replaced twrp with CM recovery somehow).
That's a good point, I will turn on root access and try again.

Another option, if nothing else seems to work is start over. I generally use nexus devices and flash factory images, looks like you can do that also on the one..
Hello,
I have the same problem. I unlocked my OPO, flashed the TWRP 2.8.7.0 and everything went good and smooth. Then I flashed CM12.1 and it worked. Now I wanted to downgrade TWRP to the TWRP 2.8.6.0 because of some issues with the latest version and after flashing the older version it will not boot to recovery at all...
Please help.
Thank you
EDIT: SOLVED!!
Okay, so I managed to get it back working again.
How I proceded:
1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-return-opo-to-100-stock-t2826541 and do everything that is said in the 3rd point of the first OP post. (+download the file for your OPO - either for 16GB or 64GB model - after you have it downloaded unpack it)
2. flash all the files listed in the 3rd point of the first OP post
3. boot in the OS, enable developer settings and enable USB debugging and allow it
4. get back in the fastboot mode and flash either TWRP 2.8.6.1 or later versions (because of Lollipop compatibility)
5. enjoy!
God bless you.

YU Yureka with no OS stuck on a Bootloop and unable to enter recovery mode.

Hey guys!
So, i was trying to install CM13 unofficial version, and wiped the system and internal storage using TWRP recovery. I was supposed to install the rom from a zip file i had placed in the external memory card. What i did, was, i rebooted the phone by mistake, after wiping it from the recovery without installing the ROM and now the phone is caught in a bootloop. I know i am an idiot to do that. I tried removing the battery and reboot it in recovery mode using the key combination with no luck. It just starts the boot loop. I tried using fastboot and adb from pc to push files into the internal memory, but my device is not getting detected on the adb anymore (maybe the usb debugging is disabled now?).
What i guess is stopping TWRP recovery from showing up is the lack of twrp/themes folder in the internal memory since i wiped it. But there might be some other cause that i am unaware of. What do i do now? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi! I'm having the same problem with this post... Does anyone knows the solution of this problem. I'd be really glad if anyone could help me with this..please!
Hey are you able to boot into fastboot mode? If you can....
Prerequisites –
1. Make sure that you have 70-80% battery on your phone.
2. You need a PC and a USB cable to connect your phone to the PC.
3. Flashing the factory firmware will wipe all the data present in the internal memory. So, make a backup of that if you can.
4.Install all the necessary Device drivers.
DOWNLOADS -
1. Download the flash tools from here . http://www.mediafire.com/download/87gfz7mdch188an/Flashtools_For_Yu_Yureka.zip
2. Download the factory firmware from Here (cm 12.1) . http://builds.cyngn.com/factory/tomato/cm-12.1-YOG4PAS3JM-tomato-signed-fastboot.zip
Steps To Flash Factory Firmware –
1. Extract the flashtools zip in a new folder on the desktop.
2. Extract the factory firmware zip in the same folder and make sure that all of the flashtools files are also present.
3. Now, power off your phone. If you are stuck in a bootloop, then pull out the battery and reinsert it. (Do not switch on the phone.)
4. While pressing the Volume Up key, connect your phone to the PC with the help of a USB cable.
5. You should now see the fastboot logo on your device. If you did, leave the Volume Up key. (If you do not see the logo, retry the process.)
6. Now go to the folder where you extracted the flash tools and factory firmware and run the flash-all.bat by double clicking on it.
7. A command window will open and the flashing procedure will start. (Make sure that your device does not disconnect from your PC during the procedure.)
8. The command window will automatically close once the procedure is completed.
9. Disconnect your device and boot it up by pressing the Power button. (Since this is first boot after flashing the firmware, it may take upto 5 minutes.)
Done you should be back on cm 12.1

im also having same problem i have also unknowingly wiped system & now im not able to flash any rom while flashing its rebooting automatically & i am able to enter in to fastboot mode then i have flashed factory firmware then also its not booting stucked on boot loop.

I flashed the factory image via YGDP tool as well as fastboot. But it boots upto a point and then goes in bootloop. Also if i wipe data/cache still it makes no difference. Also unlocked bootloader and twrp also don't load up. Again goes in bootloop.

Click to collapse
But when I am executing other fastboot commands it halts the process between with error "FAILED (remote: unknown command)".
I have read about this error and people suggested that I need to get into "Download mode" not "fastboot/bootload". To get into "download" mode I tried pressing "VoulumeDown+Power+Home", but nothing happened, it simply restarted the phone.
Please advise.
