T mobile is very good! - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5

There you can see all the data that I have consumed between December / January. 119.8GB .. I have tmobile service two years ago In the plan with unlimited LTE.
As I live in a rural area, the broadband internet coming into this area is very very bad and does not work for nothing, because I live far away from the base of the signal. In my area does not fiber cable but if the copper.
"Download speed does not exceed 350 KB" And that is why I have to use cellular internet, because t-mobile is the only option for unlimited data I have
It happens that I have months consuming about 80GB per month, but this month I have spent more than 100GB and I have half-month. Just to know if I am at risk for canceled me the account or if I can consume that amount or more!? It is I think to use 200 GB this month

You can use as much as you like, as long as you're not tethering your good.

looking at the other stats, you need to get a life.

there is always someone who speaks without knowing. This is not my primary line, use it to make downloads nothing more and for my childrens to play youtube and online gaming.

It was a lame joke.

I received a text from tmobile around November saying i have 3 months free unlimited 4g lte, did you happened to received that sms too?

Doing some research on the tmobile note 3 forums and found that there will be no official marshmallow update for the note 3... it only recieved one big update and that was lollipop. Im not too sure if it will recieve 6.0 but from the information ive gathered, it seems that it wont be happening. SO.. im thinking about selling my note 5, if i can find someone locally who would want one... and get me a nexus 6p or an iphone 6s/ 6s plus.

Better act quick... or else price will drop and you'll be getting less for what youd paid for. I like this phone but i dont wanna be stuck with a phone that will recieve updates very late. I heard that Samsung will finally release software updates quickly but i guess not. Its been several months now and still no marshmallow update... this will be my last samsung smartphone, until they start updating their phones early and better optimized software then ill probably consider buying their phones again.
I knew samsung was always lacking on their updates... so i guess it was my fault getting the note 5. I mean.. my options were very limited... i wanted to finance a phone. I couldve gotten an iphone 6s or 6s plus but i wanted to try something different because i had an iphone 5s. I just wanted the latest and greatest smartphone, and note 5 was on my mind. Nexus 6p was also on my mind but didnt had the money to spend all at once...

Save the Stress

Save the stress and buy a Galaxy Nexus. I can honestly say I've fallen in love with the stability and screen of this phone. It is the smoothest thing I've ever used. I'm using AOKP Jelly Bean on it. Take my word for it. Buy the Galaxy Nexus and get an OtterBox Commuter case for it. You will not regret it. Trust me, best phone by far. You can't go wrong with a pure Google device. Also to clear things up if you are unsure...YES, 4g does work on T-Mobile and At&t. The data does not drop, it is an amazing feeling to be honest. With this LG I dropped data all the time. The camera on the Nexus is way better as well. You wont regret getting this phone. It is well worth the new low price.

How's the storage space, I use mine for a music player as well, so I was wondering about this, I have been going back and forth with the S2 because the S2 has a SD slot.

I'm really tempted to just drop my G2X and get a GNex, especially cause it just went on sale for $300 outright on one of the carriers up here in Canada (Mobilicity). I'd love me some JB but something's telling me to wait for the next nexus. You always want the latest and greatest when you get a smartphone right?
Anyone else feeling torn like this?

Same issue here. I'm debating getting the phone from mobilicity as well. Only problem is I could probably barely get $100 out of this phone. And with the MIUI V4 port it made the phone a whole lot better. MMS+Data works now. I get the occasional drop...
It's a tough decision.

The Nexus 7 is great as a tablet, but it's not a phone and it cannot fit in my pocket. I need data when I'm out and about, and Wifi is not available when I need it most. I'll just sit tight. I wouldn't call it outdated though, at least not for me. I've been on an Optimus V on Virgin Mobile's terrible network where data seldom works anywhere. I'm hoping my new (to me) G2x lasts me till I can find a good deal on a Sensation or another good used phone.
Agree with the OP. I just sold my G2x. Picked up the new Nexus about a month ago. Great phone. I don't even bother with any roms or kernels. JB just works out of the box. All I did was unrooted it to run few programs that need it and I could not be happier.
Very disappointed with LG and the G2x. It was my first android and the experience was awful.

Isn't the Nexus camera only 5 MP compared tot he G2x's 8 MP camera. I could care less either way as I don't take many pictures or even care THAT much about that small of a difference in the quality of the picture. I do plan on getting Nexus soon because I've been over the G2x after a month of owning it.

I'd love to get the Galaxy SIII or maybe even the One X, but those phones are ONLY affordable for most people if you sign a new contract. I'm not eligible for upgrade until July of next year so I don't have any optioons but the Nexus if I want a new phone. I'm not made of money and don't have $350, but I'm aiming at getting the Nexus in October. I'm going to set aside $150 from my check in September, and then just pay the rest of it in October.

True, but that's the cheapest you're going to get a new phone out of contract that's actually a good phone. My plan is just to put aside some cash, get the Nexus, use my G2x as a backup phone, and then I want to try a Windows 8 phone once my contract is up and then I'll just hope for the best.

Except that most of us use and need phones, not tablets. I rather have a phone tha does everything than have a tablet that does everything but make calls and texts. Although I AM very tempted to get a Nexus 7. I just can't justify its purchase. If I had a better phone other than the G2x, though, I'd probably just splurge and get the Nexus 7.

I was on Virgin Mobile here in California with that same phone before switching to T-Mobile and getting the G2x and I was VERY happy with the service. Data was great except for one area of one city that I never go to anymore since I no longer live around there. I was not satisfied wtih T-Mobile's service and the G2x based on my experience with the Optimus V on Virgin. T-Mobile isn't noticibly faster on data speeds and my Optimus V had instant GPS locks every single time and we all know how bad the GPS is on the G2x. My experience on Virgin Mobile is why I plan on moving to Sprint once my contract is over with T-Mobile.

I'm sorry it was your first experience, but happy you're staying and that it didn't scare you away from Android. It's my third Android (had Optimus M followed by the Optimus V followed by the G2X). It was because of a positive expeirence with both those two other Optimus devices that I made the foolish mistake of sticking with LG. I trusted them and I was let down. Big time. If it wasn't for the dev community here, the G2x is seriously garbage as a phone. The Optimus V easily performs better with worse hardware and an arguably worse carrire.

It totally depends where you live. Here in Denver Verizon is king, but T-mobile has faster data speeds than Verizon. Sprint and AT&T aren't very good here. On VM most of the time data does not work and I can sometimes call out when in buildings like Walmart, Target, etc. The Optimus V was an excellent beginner phone to using Android and I love Android because of it. But I need a reliable data connection for work so VM has to go. I refuse to pay Verizon's insane monthly prices and I'll never use them. AT&T claims to have spent a few million on network upgrades here recently so I don't know if that's helped anything.

lg g3 worth it?

hello. I'm thinking about either getting the lg g3 or wait for the note 4. I'm coming from an iPhone 5 so I'm sure i will be happy with either one lol. my best buy has the g3 for 99 with 2 year contract. I'm sure i can sell my ip5 to them for a decent amount and somewhat get the phone for "free" if i upgrade. i also have a $50 gift card reserved with them so I'm pretty excited when i upgrade. i played with one at best buy and i was really impressed with it. i saw a little lag but my jailbroken ip5 has lag so I'm not worried too much about it. then again I'm hearing a lot of the note 4. i wanna wait till i hear bout the note 4 but i want a new phone! lol. so users who own the g3, how do u feel about it? was it worth it? pros and cons? cons i read about were in regards to battery life and the display when used outside. overall, i think i will be happy with either one.

Happy with your Note 5?

I currently have the Verizon Note Edge and I really don't like the performance. I would classify it as the second worst phone that I've owned. Behind only to the infamous Sprint Nexus 4. At any rate, I am contemplating moving from Verizon back to Sprint so I can: #1 get away from my Edge that I still owe $500 on, and #2 return to the rooting scene which I sorely miss, and #3 to save around $85/month. I would like to know if you users of the new Note 5 are happy? I have owned all the Note series' up until now, so I would like to stick with them (just never the Note Edge again) LOL... If you have rooted or unlocked your N5, is it so-far so-good?
Thanks!
I've been pretty happy with it so far. A few bugs here and there I'm ironing out but I'm liking it.
Im very unhappy with sprint and this note 5. Wth, i cant talk and surf the net at the same time! So much for multitasking. Ok so what if i can use wifi and call....if you're not at home or nowhere near wifi then your s.o.l! If im using gps and a call comes in, guess what...you loose data connection which in turns loose navigation. How can someone truly multitask if on a phone call and you need to look up something....hey jim, let me call you right back, i cant talk and search the web at the same time, but im cool because I have a note 5...wtf. oh well

Can I modify this question specifically to those who had the Note 4?
My Note 4 failed last week, Sprint TEP is replacing it with a Note 5. I grabbed a Note 4 at Best Buy for $1 and am going to choose one and sell the other.
Right now I am weighing the benefit of removable SD card and Battery (which I love about the N4) vs 33% more RAM and incremental upgrades on everything in the N5 (Camera, processor, software, etc).
Has anyone upgraded and wish they haven't? Or did the N5 make you forget your N4?

I upgraded to Note 5 last week from a Note 4. Honestly, the no SD card and no removable battery ( I have 7 batteries ), was a big deal for me. But I have been really happy with the Note 5. I get about 10- 12 hours on my battery, 3 hours screen time. I have learned to use Google Photos now, so don't store too many pictures on my phone now. The camera is awesome. No lag whatsoever. I use Nova Launcher with a custom Icon pack.
I have always rooted my phones, and this will be the first phone I do not feel the need to root. One week in and I have been very happy.
So happy, that last night I listed my Note 4 on Swappa and sold it this morning.
Hope that helps!
Note 5 kicks ass... Not prefect but a great phone so far and I've had it since launch

Marshmallow update for MotoX Syle (Pure) 2015

Everyone don't wet it! The update will contain Band 12 VoLTE and E911. VoIT is in question? I got this info from higher tech support. Took about 4 days to get official answer. I believe this is the reason why we in the good old of USA haven't received this update sooner! They are working out possible issues with this radio update for marshmallow.
it's been known for at least a week or even more (on g+ post)
I will believe it when it is released.

Do plenty of research first. I sent my 6p back because after 4 days of normal use the frame was twisting. It would no longer sit flat. I carried my phone in my front pocket as i have done with all my phones. I also had much worse reception. I constantly dropped to 3g at work whereas with this phone I don't. If on Verizon there is also no visual voicemail so if you have advanced calling enabled you get text messages instead of a notification that you have voicemail periodically. Your mileage may vary but I couldn't wait to be rid of it.
*edit I'll also leave this little gem

You know Nexus phones get the updates right away.. so why didn't you just buy the Nexus instead of the MXPE? Sounds like a personal problem...
C'mon, apologists. Waiting a few extra weeks isn't the end of the world for most of us, but it should've been out by now, given Moto's near-stock software design. The fact that it's taking longer to update their brand new, revolutionary, carrier-free flagship than some competitors' heavily-skinned, carrier-variable models is a very bad sign about Lenovo's priorities.
If 11 months from now we're finding out that the MXPE will not be receiving Android N at all, we can probably look back to this episode and say: "you know, we should've seen this coming." I'm enjoying my phone, but I absolutely don't blame anyone for hedging in favor of the 6P despite a few weaknesses (no expandable storage) because of Lenovo's poor showing this past 3-4 weeks.
So, go to the dev section and install MM...

Can you link to where Moto/Lenovo gave the MXPE an exact date of when MM was going to come out? Last I heard they were rollin' it out in phases... and even then, there were no exact dates... if peeps want to spend more on the 6P/Nexus and not worry about delayed updates, then they should have bought it, but yet, they didn't and are complaining about the "slow" updates on the phone(s) they 'decided' to buy instead..
Go to the dev section and install those MM updates posted there if you guys are really that bent on getting MM on your device...
I can wait, nothing in MM that I really want, much less need, anyways...
A few weeks is nothing. We'll get it.
This isn't like the Atrix and ICS, where the phone was out for a fair bit and also canned once google bought Moto. The phone is new. If other regions are getting it first, then that's just how the testing works.
They really don't want a repeat of Lollipop. I heard horror stories on how badly that update botched the 2nd Gen Moto X.
Loving Marshmallow as well !!!

Do those dev section roms include T-Mobile B12 & VoLTE support??? That's what many of us are waiting for. If it was only a matter of wanting MM then yeah, that's a no-brainer, but no way I'm going through all that crap for a rom that doesn't have the T-Mobile support I've been waiting for all along.
From what I can tell there is no band 12 in the Indian mm but doze works ****ing wonders on this phone even completely stock. I'm on modded marshmallow now and will switch to official mm when its released. Simple enough

Rumors of a second Note 7 recall.....

Supposedly 2 possible safe note 7's have went up in smoke and flames. I have also read that the major carriers in the US will be allowing exchanges of the now safe note 7's for something else.
Well if this is the case, what other options are on par with the note 7? Im thinking S7 edge or God forbid i go to an Iphone 7 plus. What are you guys looking at just in case or will you roll the dice and take your chances?

This is really a shame because I love my Note 7. If it is recalled again I'm thinking of the HTC 10, since my previous phone was the HTC M8 and I loved it. I would miss the s-pen ALOT, along with all the Note 7's other great features. For now I will take my chances on the replacement and hope all works out.

I just exchanged my Note 7 for the s7 edge at Sprint. I was having Bluetooth issues like others and didn't want to get stuck with the phone for another 2 years. Only crappy thing is since Best Buy wouldn't accept the phone since it's over the 14 day return policy I had to go through Sprint and they did an even swap out so technically I lost $100 since the s7 edge is less money but oh well. I'll grab another 256gb micro SD card and try to make my $100 back.

I was thinking if i had to drop down to an S7 edge and i do concider it a drop down, i will get the VR because ive already gotten the gear fit 2, i got a 256gb memory card on the way, might as well go for the trifecta....lol
I wish i could hold out on the S8 which im sure is going to be awesome or who knows the Note 8 might be the greatest of them all.

Yeah buddy love those promotions lol. I have the 256gb card and the VR and just submitted my new s7 edge receipt for another 256gb card. I wish they still had the gear fit option I'd rather have that then another card.

I have had every note since number 2 and skipped the 5 due to no memory card or removable battery options. I thought the 7 was a fair compromise so i upgraded my note edge which i still have and have a 9000 mah battery for it thaf last for days.... lol. Im using it to stream ufc 204 to my tv now.....shh dont tell Dana White.....lol
But i dont know if i can go back to a lrss than top tier phone or one that is lacking a feature ive become so accustomed to.

I thought sprint said they would do a full refund? Or exchange and give you the difference back?

They would but only if it was purchased through Sprint. Mine was purchased through Best Buy and Best Buy wouldn't help me at all since I was outside the 14 day return window for my "safe version 2" Note 7. Really Sprint shouldn't have let me swap out the phone but I found a manager at one of my local Sprint stores who was cool and he didn't stress where I purchased it so I lucked out.

I've got 4 days until my 14 return window with best buy is over and I'm not sure what I want to do. I love this device and downgrading to a 7 edge would be something I do not want to do, and there's really no other device that sprint has that I want right now. I guess if forced I'd go to an htc 10 simply because it's got root already and decent developer support, but I'd still be upset with having to give my note up, I love it.
The note 7 is dead. If there is a recall, I highly doubt we'll be getting another Note 7...

I'm thinking of doing the same.
The S8 will be rushed to try to put this blunder behind them and the Note 8 will probably be the greatest phone ever created in an effort to erease the past.

The s7 edge is only a "downgrade" if your set on having the S-Pen. I loved having the pen to create goofy pictures now and then but it's not a big deal. All the specs are the same with better battery life on the edge. I liked the idea of the Iris scanner but never really used it. Really the only thing I miss is the newer version of Always on display but I'm sure the edge will get it shortly.

It's only got gorilla glass 4 and and half the storage capacity, it is a downgrade, and one I definitely don't want. If I wanted a 7 edge, I'd have had one months ago. Now I'm forced to make a choice I really don't want to make. I really hope they don't scrap the note 7 entirely

This is my first Note, coming from the S6 and I am totally disappointed with all the negative media. I had no problems with the first and none, so far, with the replaced Note 7. There is no other phone that I want right now, so if forced, I'll get a refund and go back to my S6 and wait on the S8... I still have my Nexus 6P on Google Fi.

If I hadn't given my g3 to my dad when I upgraded I would do the same and wait, but I can't now, I need a phone, so I just feel like I'm going to get stuck for two years with a device I don't really want. It sucks.

It may sound crazy, but I haven't used my "upgrade" from Sprint for years. I usually by the phone outright from someone else, which was the case the with first one. That way, I'm not stuck. I usually use PayPal Credit, so no large upfront money put out.

Well, looks like Best Buy will have to take it back, now. I'm glad I took action when Sprint first offered exchanges for the replacement. Beat the rush.
