GantryWorks wants to partner with developers to innovate and create smartphone apps for users that mount their smartphone above their TV or computer monitor. GantryWorks is a designer of smartphone accessories. TellyMount by GantryWorks is a smartphone holder that positions a smartphone above a TV or computer monitor. The product is purely mechanical and has no electronic components. TellyMount was originally intended to allow users to video call on TV by first launching a video calling app on their phone (such as Skype) and then mirroring their phone to TV using Google Chromecast. By positioning the smartphone above the TV, TellyMount creates proper camera angle and eye contact with video callers. GantryWorks is now looking for additional apps, even if unrelated to video calling, that benefit by having a smartphone positioned above a TV or computer monitor. The nature of the partnership can be as simple as cross-promotion or, in certain cases, an investment. Interested parties should email [email protected] with their proposed app. For more information on TellyMount, visit gantryworks.com.

Some interesting news from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, a submission dated December 23 for the INQ Cloud Touch – an Android smartphone with Facebook built into its core!
This is the listing info:
“INQ Cloud Touch is an Android smartphone built to make messaging faster and smarter. It’s designed around the way people naturally communicate and has Facebook built into its core. The homescreen features multiple entry points to different Facebook functions, while a dynamic widget displays a feed of status updates, albums, videos and photos.”

Got my hands on this it's so cool. If I had root I'd post a dump
Have you rooted the device? I have been using INQ Cloud Touch now for two months and would like to have the device rooted.
Other experiences: Wifi driver is really bad and insensitive. It can't find networks that for example iPad can. Asked it from support and they just said that it's cheap phone so you can't really expect working wifi...

What's your opinion about this product?rubbish or valuable goods?
I use Kingston widrive or the air stash. The Kingston also works with Android. Pretty cool products.
Hie all i am working on an automation project and one of the aspects of it is to take a photo of s rock samples using a hacked selfie stick controlled by a micropocessor like raspberry pi. The hacking only involves the button of the selfie stick only.
My question is, can a selfie stick/bluetooth remote work with android tablets? i would like to know before i commit funds to buying. If there is any means of controlling it via remote control (without use of cables- has to be wireless) please let me know. The tablet is a generic Industrial tablet used on microscopes but it has bluetooth it was supplied to us by the project manager so its the only one we have to work with unfortunately.

Hi all,
I'm considering / planning an android project to upgrade my car stereo system/screen, and I need your opinion regarding an aspect.
So as for today, my car has an old school stereo and an old school screen that displays basic information, and I'm wondering if I can remove these two modules, and replace them with a single android device that will provide same functionality.
The following picture shows the desired transformation:

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
as you see in the upper picture, lower part of the dash has the stereo, and above it is the screen,
I'm sure that an android device can fully replace the original stereo and provide same functionality.
As for the car's original screen, this is the tricky part for me. This screen shows information such as the configured AC temperature, AC fan speed, fuel consumption etc. and I'm wondering if there is anyway to develop some android application to read all of this data and display them on the new android device?
anybody done something similar?
Thanks.

Hi I have one important question,
I am working on project to school and my purpose is to monitor mobile system functions both on Android and IOS like CPU, memory usage... while using certain applications. Do you know about any method, how I could acurately monitor these things. I tried some applications, but they are pretty useless so I am thinking about monitoring it remotely.
IMO - at least on Android - the TOP command gives you the informations you are interested in
