My Z3 can't pull down the notifications bar starting these few days, this only happened when I unlocked the phone, it work fine when the phone stilll locked, any idea what's happening?
Phone's details:
D6653
23.4.A.1.264
Thanks!
This is really weird. Mine just started acting the same. At lock screen it works flawlessly but when unlocked no way. Did you find a solution? I don't feel like factory reseting it right now.
My phone's details:
D6603
23.4.A.1.200
i can pull down the bar, but the notifications won't expand, they collapse automatically or won't expand at all. similar kind of situation, started happening a few weeks ago...
Having same problem too..using z3 for 8 month it's stars 2 days ago any solution?
hey, its same right here. just buy it since november 2015, but the issue start this morning 4th february , when my device is unlocked the stupid notification bar keep scrolling down even when im not touching it. after i have done the factory reset it stop but the top part of the screen (under the SONY logo) its not working at all. is it because the firmware prob or else?. pls kindly help me with this stupid problem. Thanks....
My Z3 started now to can´t pull down the notifications in the status bar, only in locscreen works well. It should be software problem. I've looked and many people scan *#2663# and update the touch software and solve the problem, but I've tried and this code is not accepted by Z3. I'm desperate ... I installed an application to gain access to notifications but is not a solution. Does anyone have a solution to this strange bug?
Same problem here. When locked everything is fine, but when I unlock it doesn't work anymore. I have tried fix this by flashing older versions of firmware but notthing happens. It drives my crazy. Does anybody have a solution? Mybe someone have find the way how to fix that?
I must update my previous post.
Finally I solved the problem.
So what I've done:
I'v opened battery cover and removed speaker, under speaker is digitizer and lcd flex. I have cleaned all lcd and digitizer connectors with tooth brush and alcohole, after that I connect it back, heated with heat gun, I've putted a little bit of paper between connector and speker just in case if connectors losing conctact. Put all back together and vóila.
Sorry for my bad English and good luck!
Your method for me don't work because I have a Xperia z3 and is very hard to open and clean it. I think the problem in mine is the touch drivers or anything like that. But thanks anyway!

Hello,
I recently bought Sony XPERIA J which accidently slipped into water tank which with no doubts remove the warrant of My phone & have caused several issues with its working. I kept the phone switched OFF for 5 days and successfully removed moisture from its motherboard. When I turned it ON everything is fine except malfunctioning of WiFi & several Touch Screen issues.
1. The problem with Touch is that whenever I press the POWER KEY to unlock phone I have to wait for atleast 5-10 sec for TOUCH to start responding. Is this a software issue or is it a hardware and also is there any way to fix it.?
2. Another problem is the small LED light (notification indicator), it is constantly glowing BLUE and does not show any other color for any notification and even never turns OFF. Can it be fixed?
3. Problen with WiFi is that it just keeps on trying to turn itself ON with no success, which is consuming the Battery Power a lot. How can I turn OFF the WiFi permanently?

Dude, those are clearly hardware issues. There's no way we can help you with that... take it to a repair store or try your luck with the official warranty.

Thanks for Your reply.
I actually took it to the sevice centre but the said it can only be fixed by replacing the motherboard which costs Rs10000/- , so I just thought of asking for help over here.
Alright, I can bare with these TOUCH & LED issue, but I really need to disable WiFi, so is there any way to do it like removing WiFi module or something like that?
you can try and say to the service centre officials that it started happening after u tried to update but it failed...ofcourse you have to find another service centre
just prove this is happening due to software reason even though it isnt
As they say, bring it to a Sony care point.

Hello everyone!
I have been visiting the site for a long time but this is the first time I actually post.
Well the problem I have with my nexus is that the screen stopped working a few days ago, but the touchscreen is still responding. I was walking at the beach with the phone in my pocket and after some time I realized the phone was not working. I suppose it was the humidity because the phone was completely dry.
Now the weird thing is that the touchscreen works perfectly, I can feel it when I unblock the phone, but the screen is completely black. Anyone has any idea how to fix this? I already changed the screen of my old nexus 4 a few times, but is there any other option? because I do not want to pay for the whole screen replacement when the touchscreen is working. I would say that it is just some contacts not working properly, but I do not really know how to fix that.
I hope someone has an idea how to fix it.
Thank you!
Maybe this thread will point in the right direction. Mentioned is flashing stock recovery.

Thanks for the reply! I tried that but it did not work and after the battery run out I realized it was not charging either. So I think the only thing left is to send it to repair to LG or something...
I have a Moto G and it seems like the screen response sometimes just stops working. When it is working all is well. I have tried few of the touch applications and they are all good. If i put it into sleep and press the power button, i can unlock the phone but no response at the home screen. Sometimes it works great for hours and then would stop. Don't think its a screen issue.
It's out of warranty so sending it back is out of question. I don't think it ever got wet or water damaged. Don't know much of the history on this. Would appreciate the help.
EDIT:
1) I reflashed the stock Telus Rom again last night, but issue hasn't changed much.
2) I disabled the lockscreen (set to none) and seems like it only registers one touch then stops as was the case with the lockscreen. Sometimes it just keeps working fine.
Just trying to figure out if its a software issue or a touchscreen issue. The hard buttons all work fine.
Stock? Which version?
Third party ROM or Kernel?
Does it happen randomly or only while connected to the charger or USB?

Kitkat 4.4.4 Stock Telus/Kodoo Rom.
Happens Randomly.
EDIT: Added some notes above.
If it keeps doing it after a full clean flash then I would bet it's an hardware problem...

Hardware wise is it the lcd/digitizer or motherboard ? Trying to figure that out.
Sorry, can't give any insight on that. I don't even know if there is an easy way to be able to know what of those two is faulty.
Just out of curiosity. Are you in a very moist/damp/humid (not sure what's the right word for this) area?
Do you have sweaty fingers?
I'm asking this because I also feel kind of an unresponsiveness whenever the screen has any moist on it or if my fingers are sweaty.
Hi I have some very weird problem..
My vibration stops almost randomly.. Or more accurately when using keyboard (tried few.. All the same)..
So I thought thats a software problem but when it happens.. If I shake hard my phone the vibrates coming back.. So then it made me think that maybe some connections inside are floppy..
Does any one else ever had such a thing?
I'm using Sony Xperia Z3 compact so opening up is not so easy and will ruin the water proof..
Thanks
I have the same problem on my Motorola Razr. I think this is due to malfunction of the vibration motor. Repair of the device can help.
Unfortunately my phone is sealed and waterproof so its not simple as like order new vibrator from ebay and install it on my own.. I'll have to go to the lab to fix that and I'm not sure if that's worth it..
If your Razr is easily disassembled and you are going for hardware fix please let me know if that helps.
and of course if you find a software solution also post that here.. I'm sure it will help others but me
Hello guys,**
Well few days ago I accidentally dropped my Nexus 5 in a glass of water for just 1 sec. So I immediately switched it off and wait a bit to let dry then restarted it, and all seemed to work fine. But just some days later and up to now the phone boots up all fine as usual to the lock screen, and from there I can pull down the notification bar (and navigate through it, activate/deactivate wifi, etc..) but when I unlock it to get to the home screen it becomes all back and nothing appears on the screen even though the phone is still on.*
It's really confusing and weird. When I call the phone it rings (so no signal or sound problem) but I can't still access the screen to take the call as it's all back and unresponsive.
Following some suggestions I disassembled the phone and cleaned it dry but same results again! So now I think the problem is somehow related to the motherboard, coz as you might notice on some of the pictures attached, it seems that some plastic parts have melt down to cover other smaller parts. Anyway guys,*I'm just wondering if some of you guys had experienced something like that and if you were luckier*to find a solution or any directives that could help. Or you even think that's a motherboard problem like, do you know any ways to fix that o buy a new one somewhere??
PLEASE!!
Sorry apparently, I can't publish links until I get like 10 posts or plus..
But anyway guys, I'd really appreciate your help.
Why did you power it on and short circuit it on purpose for??
Bump
@SekouCheikh
Maybe it's a coincidence that you dropped it in water and this happened a few days later. Once in a blue moon mine does something similar to this (although not usually as start up only after lots of use), but I think it's related to an app or xposed. I only notice it after installing a bunch of crap again. Maybe try a factory reset (do it though the computer) just to see if it is somehow not hardware related? That's what I would try first.
Help please
Ttt
Wait... Are you seriously posting from 2 different accounts??
<...>
First, simply try to factory reset or flash a new rom. There is not enough evidence to be sure it's a hardware problem, it could just as well be a coincidence that it started happening just now.
