so it seems that xposed has been enabled on 5.1.x for the mate 7. it seems that you have to freeze themes and edit a few files. can anyone show the steps in order to do this?
I have it installed and all I done was tick the unhook resources in settings, problem is not many modules work,I wanted ambient screen and had no luck.

The best solution for now is to use Kang VIP rom. Xposed on this ROM works by disabling the themecolor and hwthemes line from Bild.prop as well as freezing/uninstalling the Themes file. Then turn on "disabled Resource Hooks". But what's even better is once you have Xposed working on Kang VIP, you can actually tick off the "Disable Resource Hooks" option and make theming-related modules work.
I have a hunch that one of the main reasons why Xposed does not work on stock EMUI (aside from the theming conflict) is because SELinux is set to "Enforcing" by default. On Kang VIP its set to "Permissive".
thank you for the help blitzkriegger. i was running cm11 until last week. the reason i upgraded was due to wanting to try kangvip but after flashing it feel right so i flashed the emui rom and have stayed with it since. i really hope that a stock android rom will be released. i really hate emui.
im going to be sticking with the stock emui rom so, with that in mind how do i get xposed to work successfully? according to your posting. i just used titanium backup and freeze the themes app, set selinux to permissive, disables hooks and done right? is the buildprop stuff really needed?

2) yes, app settings
3) Same as any other app restore. Who cares, do what you want
4) Didn't know it did. "fix permissions" is not a good thing to do. Avoid it at all costs
5) Read the xposed thread. they are not injected (thats the whole point)

I will surely read it.. thanks for getting back!:good:
btw fixing permissions is bad... i did it quite often!
and at times it does help me when i have fcs!
Btw when i restored the entire xposed thing after i recently flashed slim (after coming from stock) some changes offered by gravity box didnt work well i probably think it may be some compatibility issues!

Xposed runs on top, not changing code. Gravity box only supports pure AOSP. The code Gravity box changes is not the same if not AOSP so some things work, some do not.
Dont fix permissions. Recovery doesnt know what permissions should be so it guesses. Bad
Has anyone had success installing xposed framework on the m8 running a stock rooted lollipop rom? I have tried multiple times following the guide in the xposed thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 with no success.
It worked for me on adrenaline 2.1 but not on a couple of other roms I tried.

I downloaded the files from the link I posted above..
Install the xposed installer .apk
Reboot from within the installer and grant root privileges.
Flash the framework via TWRP
I have also tried to flash the framework first, install the .apk, and reboot from within the installer to grant root.
Neither way has worked for me.

I have it running on stock rooted, here are the steps I took.
Flashed the xposed arm zip file in TWRP
Installed the 3.0 alpha2 apk
Once installed I went into "framework" and hit soft reboot.
Once the phone was done I installed a module/made it active and soft reboot again.
I don't think you have to take these exact same steps but this is just what I did following a YT video. In "framework" it always says "Installation is only possible maunally via recovery for now." in red letters. That confused me into thinking it was not installed properly but all the modules I'm using are working fine.

I have tried to install this exact same way. After flashing the framework and installing the alpha .apk, I activated greenify and rebooted.
Upon launching greenify, I saw a yellow dialogue box that said auto hibernation service has stopped (auto hibernation worked fine before trying to use xposed) I attempted to enable the xposed features and a screen popped up telling me to install the xposed framework.
I have since restored my nand backup I made before flashing xposed, and greenify is back to auto hibernating, just cant use the xposed features.

Have you tried installing other modules? Looking around the greenify sections here on XDA seems it wasn't ready for 5.0, but there is a beta thread that you may want to take a look at.

Easy Android ROM Customization Through Xposed Framework
Here is Xposed Framework for the MediaPad X2. This allows for future customization of a lot of different things on our devices. Thanks to kpcheang2 for finding the original page with the download links.
Besides the usual customization we can do with Android launchers and Android widgets, we also love to try new features that available on custom ROMs. But custom ROMs can be unstable and buggy sometimes and the process to flash over to a new ROM is very time-consuming, especially if you need to restore your backup and app settings.
Through Xposed Framework, by just downloading and installing a ready-made module you can make modification (modules) to any element of the OS or the app itself without the need of flashing a new ROM. For example, if you ever need to skip YouTube ads on your android, download the module for that, install, enable and reboot your device for the effect to take place immediately.
Prerequisites:
-Unlocked bootloader
-Rooted
-TWRP Installed
-Be On B106 Or B109
Instructions:
First, install Xposed Installer by opening the apk and hitting install as you would any other app.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5I_q70mNuR4N29ueEwtalBVUE0/view?usp=sharing
Second, boot into TWRP and install the Xposed Framework:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5I_q70mNuR4cThvN2RkU2dOdkE/view?usp=sharing
After rebooting you will have working xposed framework on your phone. Open it up and in settings check "Disabled Resource Hooks" Now reboot once more. Now you need to find modules that work. There are modules for pretty much anything you want done to your phone. The problem is none of them support our X2 yet (or at least none that I've tried) This is just a start as I'm sure there will be modules coming out to support our devices. After installing a module go into Xposed Installer and into Modules and check the Module you want to use in there. Then restart your phone foe the module to take effect.

goes into bootloop on stock b109 i had it running fine on kang vip
Bootloop, too
I'm using the 702L with ajsmsg's B109.

With B106 by guduke also a bootloop
With B109 KangVIP I got the error "framework is installed but not active, please check logs" (these are empty)
Re-Install and/or Restarts takes no effects.
I'm giving up...
---
Please let us know with which configuration/build (whatever) you're able to run xposed. It's much more important for me then a "current" Android build. To ensure the right result, I suggest also to upload all relevant files to get your config.
Many thanks in advance.

You're right.
With deactivated resource hooks option, I can active the framework.
I also activated xprivacy but the module say's only "restart required" ... it doesn't work.
I'm so close to the target .... just one step left.
//Edit: After more installed modules, I was able to activate xprivacy successfully

in the xposed framework app settings you see the option just check it and your good to go
When I had the Ascend mate 2 I had edit the build prop to get xposed to work. I had to change the
" ro.config.hwtheme=2 change the 2 to 0 and reboot
I used apex launcher with that because it disables a few things.
does this work with b110?
I had a bootloop when I tried it, so if anybody already has it working with b100, I'll try it again.

We all have the same problems...
But Huawei's support for internation models are ... not existing. So we all want to upgrade our models to a 703L ROM to get new updates (like announced Android 6) and to improve our phones.
It was a hard and long way to unlocking, rooting and installing of the xposed framework. And I'd say, nobody will also make it possible for the "only-one" user, who wants to stay on a 701L ROM. There are too many restrictions, too many limitations and no further updates from huawei. I really don't see a reason to stay on this ROM. My 702L works fine with the 703L ROM.
Good day everyone, this is a guide on how to enable Xposed on EMUI 3.1 (Working tested by me using the deodex method) and EMUI 4.0 (Working tested by me also and confirmed working by @Blackball,). - (Update using the deodex method 10-4-2016)
First of all the original guide for making this work on Huawei roms http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6/general/guide-workaround-running-xposed-t3338765. Ty @mfbcool for your guide and help. Please follow his instructions to the letter for making it work on our device.
- ([15-4-2016] New Instructions on the original thread no need to deodex the rom files, a working xposed zip has been developed for Huawei devices just flash it in twrp and do the build.prop modifications before you flash the zip for your version of rom. Already tested by me)
So my role in this is to highlight all the tips needed for making it work on our device, and the issues i faced when doing it. ([15-4-2016] The original thread is self explanatory, all of the tips here are already mentioned there this thread was created when we needed to deodex the rom files. So forgive me if i am not adding much.)
Notes
- I think a lot of the members were installing the wrong xposed files for our device we need the ARM-64 SoC files for our device because it's using the Kirin 930.
The Tips:
Lollipop:
1. The xposed files needed for your device are under the heading of: on Lollipop 5.0.x is: Xposed for EMUI 3.1 Android 5.0. (If you are on Lollipop 5.1.1 is: Xposed for EMUI 3.1 Android 5.1.1, if Marshmallow: Xposed for EMUI 4.0 Android 6.0)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-workaround-running-xposed-t3338765
2. Make sure that after you install the xposed apk , you go to "build.prop" in /system using any file explorer with root and edit the line "ro.config.hwtheme=1" to "ro.config.hwtheme=0" and then save the file with the defualt permissions or you will get a bootloop. why editing the build.prop is important because without changing this the framework will not be active, you will get a red message saying framework not active. The only way to activate it is by editing this line or in the xposed app go to Settings if you enable "disabled resources hooks" doing that and then restarting will activate the framework but whatever module that uses resources will not work. So the only way working without affecting the modules is editing the build.prop file.
Marshmallow:
1. Make sure to add these lines ro.config.hwtheme=0 and ro.config.hw_theme=0 in build.prop in order for xposed to work and make sure to save the file with the defualt permissions or you will get a bootloop.
If you follow the original guide exactly and the tips you should have no issues making Xposed work.
P.S: By the way first boot may take a while (15+ mins), So don't be afraid.
Special thanks again to @mfbcool for his guide & help, and @pudup for directing me to the guide.

I cant install xposed. When i install it, after reboot i get black screen with only one button of the navigation bar (i can access the shutdown menu from lock key, and i can access and the notification pannel, but nothing more). This is solved when i install the uninstall file.
My phone is already rooted. I firstly installed apk, and then installed xposed via twrp. I've tried to wipe the Dalvik but it doesnt solved.
My p8 is gra-L09, lollipop. Used this files: XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk, xposed-v80-sdk21-arm64.zip, xposed-uninstaller-20150831-arm64.zip.

Did you deodex the rom? you have to deodex in order for xposed to work for Huawei devices, which version of Lollipop are you using?.
I flashed today the C636B320 Marshmallow firmware, and then i deodexed the rom per instructions to make xposed work on Marshmallow.
First attempt i failed because i didn't wait enough, you see the screen will get stuck on Huawei boot animation without any sign that anything is happening(no app update notification card like in Lollipop) for like a 20+ mins. Then voilĂ the phone booted normally. Also exposed is working fine no issues, make sure to flash xposed-v80-sdk23-arm64.zip instead of the latest one v81 which doesn't seem to work for me.

I'm running version 90.1-beta3 systemless for SDK 26 installed from Magisk.
Same but no app icon appears. . Any recommendations?
Can you launch it from within the Xposed installer?
Xposed shows as installed within magisk but no icon for Xposed.
I think you also need to install the Xposed Installer. At least I did. It'll provide you with the UI to install and manage modules. I installed it from the link below. Just pick the one that matches the version you installed in Magisk.

Click to collapse
You installed the wrong Xposed to get the installer...
Go to the Xposed thread and download the installer...
Make sure it's the one topjonwu modified... And reboot...
