I am away at family. All they have is an XP laptop. I have tried and tried for hours to get my OPO connected so I can revert to 44S due to issues with Lollipop. Please help.

Hello, I believe I screwed up something with the mounting/unmounting before I flashed a ROM, and my phone is not working as a result. Originally, it would sit at the Samsung Sidekick 4g Tmobile screen forever, and I could use the button combination to get it into download mode... now that doesn't work, and it only goes to the black screen with the phone and the computer.
I have downloaded driver after driver after driver trying to get this to work, I have downloaded ODIN, and I understand how to use it, but there is no way ODIN is going to see my phone because Windows will not properly install it. I only have a PPC mac and Win 7 computers, one win 7 computer says device is malfunctioning and the other win 7 computer loads it as a "Gadget Serial" but says that it did not install properly. I have tried all the samsung drivers, all the samsung programs to no avail. I've tried more than one USB cable too...
Is there any hope in getting this phone back to life? Do I need to use a windows XP installation? I have VMware so I could try XP or linux but frankly I'm afraid to do anything more for fear of further complicating this situation.
Final Edit: SOLVED. I uninstalled everything save for the samsung drivers, installed the android SDK and plugged it in a different usb port...although im not sure if windows got it right away, ODIN detected it and I was able to restore.
Hello all I've looked through these forms and goggled and I can't seem to find any answers so I hope someone here can help me. I have the 3113 Tab 2. I rooted it with CM9 9.1.0 build. I wanted to return the tab to stock but when I use the usb cable my pc doesn't see it. It will charge but never shows at a mass storage or anything. I have reinstalled Win 7 and loaded Samsung Keis drivers from Samsung website and still no luck. I have to different Usb cables and I have used them both on my desktop and laptop and the pc never recognizes the tablet. So I cannot use Odin to return my tab to stock. Not sure what else to try so if anyone has a solution to this please let me know. I'm going to order a new usb cable just encase that is the problem but other than that I don't know. Please if someone can point me in a direction that would really help. Thanks in advance.
I had a similar issue just installing the "drivers " as a stand alone thing on my Win7 x64, But when I re-installed the full PC Kies software package things worked just fine for me. Now anytime I flash a new ROM, Windows update searches and installs what I need automagically.
Hope that works for you ?
Having a similar issue. I rooted but haven't installed CM as yet. My laptop knows that something is plugged in and my tab knows that it's been plugged in. For some reason the disk drives (SDcard and extSDcard) don't show up and autoplay never happens. I left the Kies drivers on upon uninstalling it and that didn't help. Yesterday Windows Update downloaded a Samsung updated that worked up until I shut down my laptop. Pretty weird stuff.
Hello everyone,
I have a Samsung tablet (GT-P3100) running Android 4.4.2 kitkat (3.0.101-mokee-Espresso 10++)-NIGHTLY.The tablet doesn't connect to my laptop..
It gives a "USB not recognised error". I reinstalled Samsung kies twice, downloaded the drivers from other sources and installed but in vain.
The cable i am using is a usb+charging cable that came with the tablet. I would like to mention that the problem came a month after i installed the Mokee rom(in the mean time everything was working fine).
Using the same cable, however, i am able to charge the tablet.
The tablet shows no other error.
The laptop is Dell Latitude E6320 (original windows 7 professional).
Any help and an early response would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!
(Till then i m using connectify hotspot to share fling files which is slow and it also takes time setting up).

Question - Help please
My Sony Xperia Z (C6603) just died for the first time (had it for 1.5 years)
I couldn't update the phone over the wi-fi so i connected to PC companion.
It updated the app on windows 7 (64BIT)
Started update procedure
Battery of phone was 85%.
I entered the last phase, it said enter the USB while pressing volume down.
Then windows gave message USB device not recognised, the phone stopped working and the update procedure of pc companion stopped
I am in a very stressful situation, moving today, lost my phone -- need it!
Sony support useless said to repair via the tool, the tool doesn't recognise my phone!
HELP please...+( some tech guru out there?
UPDATE:
AFTER Calling Sony and then Microsoft I figured it out.
Problem was my 5 year old laptop - drivers.
I searched around and found this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2635830
I installed ALL of them, and then charged phone a bit ~15 minutes, and restarted PC meanwhile.
Then I open PC companion, and plugged phone in when it said ''Update failed- please connect to PC'' when ''repairing'' in PC companion
Sorry for bad english.
GL for all..
Dude the problem will be solved only after flashing rom again.. But as you said that your device is not recognized.. Then there will be some problem with your pc drivers....
You can try on other pc
And some time these kind of errors occur randomly...
. I don't understand that 1 minute ago device was recognizing and now it's not.....
Sorry bro...... I didn't solved your problem but you should try on other pc....
My Nexus 5 (on KK 4.4.4) is not detected on Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and on Mac OS X (10.9.5).
I have gone through almost every thread on the same subject, tried almost everything but nothing worked. And that's the reason I started the new thread.
On windows I can see Error Code 43. The device is getting charged but not detected.
Any solution? Please help.

Did the following with both my N5 and N7. I wasn't getting the same error as you, but my computer (windows 8.1) would not connect to both my devices as MTP but would charge them. Hope it works for you.

Have look here it may work, worth a shot at least. Remove all your drivers etc first, reboot the PC and the phone then try.
