Hello all,
A few months back, I dropped my oneplus one and broke the screen. I was too lazy to replace the screen so bought a new phone. I got around to replacing my screen yesterday, but I forgot my pattern and I can't access my recovery to wipe it. Can anyone help me?

Hi all,
About a month ago, I dropped my Asus Memo FHD 10. It only looked like it cracked the screen in the bottom corner where it hit the ground, but it seems there is some other internal weirdness going on. Anyway, I bought a new one and was wondering how hard it was to open them up and pull the drive out of the old one and stick it in the new one? Is that even possible? Would it just boot up since the hardware should essentially be the same? Just the old one was already rooted and I had everything setup the way I like it. Hate to have to go through all that again. Any help or tips would be appreciated. -Thanks-
Hi guys,
I have cracked my nexus 5 screen and decided to replace it by myself.
I have ordered replacement kit (frame+lcd+touchscreen+glass).
After assembly with new screen everything is working fine except touchscreen(is not responsive at all).
After switching back to old one(cracked) touch is working.
I have tried soft and hard reset, and flashing image-hammerhead-ktu84m factory rom, no result.
Is there any suggestions I can try or throw it away and buy something else ?
I would ask for a refund on the assembly if it came with a broken digitizer

I actually have the same problem. Replaced the screen myself and the touchscreen does not seem to be working. Did you manage to find a solution? In the old (broken) screen the touchscreen does continue to work (even tho the glass is cracked and fragments fell out).
Hey guys,
while working ( i work as a waiter) i had my Nexus 5 inside my apron...accidentally i spilled jar of water towards me...and it got inside my apron pocket were the phone was....after sometime i realized i had a phone there....so i took it out...turned it off....at home...i did everything.
good news is...it works fine...touchscreen..earpiece everything the only problem is the brightness light...its very dim...it wont go up or down. sometimes it turns off...i have to bend my phone little back n forth to bring that brightness back...
anyone have any idea whats wrong....does replacing the screen digitizer helps if i buy it on ebay or amazon.?
any information or idea may help?
btw...it happened long time ago....over 6 months now.. since then i am using my N4.
I have the solution!
I have had this problem like 3 months now and i finally fixed it.
Basically what i did was that i bought a broken nexus 5 (only the screen glass was broken) and tried to swap every part one by one. The one that was not working was the main dock!
It is a cheap fix, like 10£ on Ebay.
I am writing this post because anyone else haven't.
I hope that someone sees this.
I now copy this message to all other threads so people can fix their nexus 5's
PS:as you can probably tell English isn't my first language.

Hi y'all!
It happened today. After many years of being very careful with my phones, today I dropped it and the front screen broke on my 1+ 8. Being that I like to fix everything myself, I already looked into getting a replacement screen. However, I remember reading about some phones who lose fingerprint usability after replacing the screen. I was wondering if this is the case with this phone, and what I can do to fix it.
I was thinking what if I do a factory reset BEFORE the screen replacement, and not encrypt my phone. Maybe this will allow the new sensor to work after the replacement. Any thoughts?
While I'm at it, I was wondering if I could convert the T-Mo version to global version and use dual sim by replacing the board. I will already have the phone torn down. Has anybody done this?
