I really love this guide. It should open the doors for all the developers to change their ROMs so everyone can enjoy custom ROMs w/o tripping the KNOX counter.
PS: It would be nice if you could make a guide/tutorial with what we should modify in a rom to make it work with mobile odin.

To make a rom that doesn't trip Knox counter, you need to have a custom recovery and this results in the loss of warranty

It's a good idea but I don't think that devs would agree because to make a ROM Mobile Odin friendly, you have to delete all vrtheme and it result in an increase of zip file. A good idea could be that devs could make two ROMs: one for custom recovery and one for Mobile Odin

I don't know much about the note series, still you can give a go. When i tested with Note 3 (Running Cyanogen 13) it failed.
It works well with -
S4 [ Stock ROM]
S5 [ TWRP Recovery ]
J5 & J7 [ Not yet tested, but supposed to run]
Let me know if it worked on Note 2.
I'm running custom 5.0.1 pure stock base for N9005. Will give it try when I go home.

I am working on a detailed list. I will publish it within next week after performing some more tests.
If you flash new rom, KNOX will get triggered.
But a single click, and it will return to 0x0.

So if we are running custom rom with root and Busybox and we use the app it will remove Knox sdk and reset Knox readings. But what will happen if after using the app and assume Knox bit is 0 we flash stock rom. After flashing stock rom it will add again Knox sdk and maybe the readings before your app (Knox bit 1).

Yes it will add knox sdk and mess with everything. But if you use the app again, you can reset the counter (if device is supported) easily.

but even if stock rom trip it again what's the point of doing it on first place?
To use it you need root>to have root you must have custom recovery>to have custom recovery means Knox bit set up to 1.
Here is the question-after flashing complete stock rom and use the app. If you unroot it, remove Busybox and flash back stock recovery what will happen with Knox bit.
Second- why if working on s5 it's not working on Note? can you fix it?
As we know from before Knox bit is secure bootloader related. It was reset on Exynos Note 3 with service bootloader flash. What is actuality your app doing?

No, the boot loader isn't locked. I don't understand this dm-verity yet. But, the 3.1 dm-verity flashable will let you boot after flashing a ROM.

I actually had to flash before and after flashing ROM. Again, still playing with stock firmware, I can boot it knox free, bloat free, but no root yet.

Hi all,
I tried to flash a new firmware to my S6 but got a message stating KNOX Tripped. I took it into the Samsung store and the couldn't flash a new firmware. I've emailed a phone repair company explaining my situation they said they could flash a new firmware with the KNOX Tripped message. Is this true? Why couldn't Samsung do it?
