S6 KNOX Tripped - New Firmware - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I tried to flash a new firmware to my S6 but got a message stating KNOX Tripped. I took it into the Samsung store and the couldn't flash a new firmware. I've emailed a phone repair company explaining my situation they said they could flash a new firmware with the KNOX Tripped message. Is this true? Why couldn't Samsung do it?
Thanks, Kristof

No its not possible. Unless you want to hard brick your phone. This same issue came up in another forum for someone trying to do the same thing on another device. DO NOT even attempt to do this

KNOX Warranty Void?

I have only ever used PingPong and my KNOX WARRANTY VOID reads: 1 (0x0202)
Does this mean it was tripped somehow? Or am I mis-reading it?

Ping-Pong should not trip Knox, but you can try using this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bryancandi.knoxcheck&hl=en it should tell you right away if it's voided or still valid when you open the app, you can alternatively search for "Knox Status Samsung" to get the app

Could you possibly add a mirror somewhere else? This one just cycles between 15 hours left and 5 days left continuously without actually downloading.... Afh really seems to be hit and miss nowadays... Thanks!

No, the boot loader isn't locked. I don't understand this dm-verity yet. But, the 3.1 dm-verity flashable will let you boot after flashing a ROM.
https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt/
I actually had to flash before and after flashing ROM. Again, still playing with stock firmware, I can boot it knox free, bloat free, but no root yet.
Maybe this can help? https://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/general/how-to-root-note-5-android-7-0-nougat-t3574986 @rmarinella

What does that mean? DM-VERIFY? Is there a way to strip that out?
Stock uprooted, ads blocked and Android Pay? We'll see.

No that wont your right, it will wipe your device however.
Flashing twrp to be able to flash the zip in your thread will as we know lol....they should see in the twrp the warning about knox however.
If not people should pay more attention lol
I tried it and its working KIND of. Every "normal" Bixby Voice command works. But when I try to use a "plugin" like WhatsApp it sais "Cant update third party plugin"

Those who rooted, do you have GPay working? if yes how?

I assumed I could use Gpay after rooting but it doesn't work.
Anyone got it working

After rooting device, you sacrifice Knox related items like Samsung pay, secure folder etc
Gpay was supposed to work but requires some tweaks

I dunno. Being able to use my phone to pay at legacy POS terminals is pretty awesome. Even if samsung pay doesn't get adopted as a mobile payment standard, MST still works fine.
Hell I'm working in Korea and I can pay bills, pay for all forms of transit, shop online, and send money from messages with Samsung pay. Even my Gear S3 being able to use MST is awesome, allowing me to make 10 purchases before the next time it pair back to my phone.
I'd hardly say it's overrated. It's a feature. Just like being rooted is a feature. It's utility depends on the user.
