Stock Optimized Rom build for Galaxy J7??

Hey guys,
So, I want to install this optimized rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...-galaxy-j7-t3444761/post68298499#post68298499
But I have a question:
Do i have to install the Marshmallow first, and then flash this rom???
If I have to do so, do I need to wipe the data first before installing marshmallow?
I have the .md5 marshmallow file for my J7 Model and region.
Srry for the bad english, thanks a lot.
Just do a full wipe and flash that

um.. you simply do a full wipe, then flash the rom. that's it. that's what the instructions say iirc. have fun!
It's very clear in the rom thread - upgrade to MM first. If you flash that rom directly from lollipop you'll get a boot loop.

Will the systemsless root still work if I update to the new version?

I'm currently running FRD-L09C432B101 with a systemless root and systemless xposed, will these still work if I update to FRD-L09C432B120 ??
Still don't fully understand the systemless process since it seems you don't have to have an as specific root for each phone version as you do with a regular root, but that could also be me just not getting how it works when I rooted my phone the last time.
Thnx
//Jim
Normally, you can't update by OTA if you have root, and if you want to install a firmware the root will go
I have the same question as OP. I know root usually disappears when updating OTA but not sure how it works with this systemless technique.

When flashing a firmware, everything is replaced, so it means that won't stay after FLASHING update

Sure but I thought that the point with systemless root is that you are supposed to download and install OTA updates? And updates usually doesn't erase anything in my experience.

If you flash a fw the root will go, but for an OTA the phone will re-root itself because of the systemless root

No, the boot loader isn't locked. I don't understand this dm-verity yet. But, the 3.1 dm-verity flashable will let you boot after flashing a ROM.

I actually had to flash before and after flashing ROM. Again, still playing with stock firmware, I can boot it knox free, bloat free, but no root yet.
Maybe this can help? https://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/general/how-to-root-note-5-android-7-0-nougat-t3574986 @rmarinella
