Hello. I am seeking help to root my Huawei Y6.
I downloaded KingoRoot for Windows and installed it on PC.
I enabled Developer through tapping build.
The next thing I did was enable usb debugging, then enabled OEM Unlock and disabled verify apps via usb.
Then I plugged in my phone and clicked "Root".
It was rooting, I suppose. Then it stopped at 33% and showed Root Failed.
Kingo Root shows up on the phone when rooting, and shows percentage, same as pc. But once it hits 33%, it stops and fails rooting. Any tips or what I'm doing wrong?

Hello,
I would request you to visit here and read #2 post of the thread.
Good luck

Yeah. I saw that and that worked for me. But I was not getting SuperSU to install, and I couldn't even remove bloat apps. When I rooted using Kingroot, it only gave me the Kingroot app.

for some reason i cant root my Droid 3. i have tried just about ever one click root i can find and none work even the popular pete's motorola root tools. When i run the ABD temp it says at the ERROR there was a problom with this procedure. than under it it says Reboot the phone(perhaps remove battery) and try again. i do and it dose the same thing everytime. I have usb debugging on and have followed the instructions to the t. I also tryed just rooting my phone and it works all the way to the last step when its downloading super user and stuff and says Error adb could not not be granted root acsess via local.prop method. than says check gingerbread version and try again... i have someone please help.
my huawei ascend y201pro is almost dead after i attempted to root. i know i may have made a mistake at one point but please forgive my ignorance. so this is exactly what happened before, during and now after rooting.:
I googled for the instrctions and got it. I downloaded the following files:
Root y201 pro.zip
UnlockBootloader.zip
recovery.zip
I extracted the files to a folder on desktop after which i was ready to start.
turned on usb debugging and disabled fast boot and then connected my phone to the pc. Installed drivers.
I clicked on the file unlockbootloader and ran as administrator and clicked on ROOT your phone. I guess here is where the problem was, after clicking on 'Root your phone" there was a command window running several commands automatically on my computer but before it alerted me of successful rooting, i checked my phone and saw a folder "superuser" clicked on it, and minimized the command window on computer screen and moved on to the next step; UNLOCKBOOTLOADER, clicked and worked out fine and closed itself, so i knew am through, i switched off the phone and removed the usb cable then tried to switch it on to no avail. could not charge , not being seen on the computer via the same cable. pulled out the battery and reinserted, tried to switch it on and what i see is the 3 buttons(menu, home and back keys) blinking exactly 10 times before they go off. The screen is completely black with no sign of life. I have searched for a solution to this online and in your forums but mostly are bricked phones which boot to recovery mode. nothing relates to exactly my problem.
any help please . i read the instructins here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2066887
So this is my first post on XDA, due to the lack of information on this particular device. Here I'll try to explain how I managed to root this device after trying several methods available here and all over the web. First I'll explain what didn't work:
VROOT (*)
Framaroot
Motochopper
SRS Root
MTK Toolkit
Nearly every solution on the web
After trying every method above, I noticed none of them were working. They all were giving false positives. No ROOT at all. I was kinda frustrated, 'cause I had followed every instruction possible, without success. I double checked my PC drivers, and I noticed something odd: Every time I changed the USB connection type on the L50, Windows installed different drivers for the device. I'm saying this was odd because I installed the drivers from LG drivers pack, so I was a bit confused. So, after Windows Installed the drivers for MTP, Modem, PTP and LG mode, I tried VROOT and... VOILÁ! I had ROOT:laugh::laugh:
So here are the steps I followed, and the tools I used:
Download VROOT (a.k.a. as IRoot) from w w w. mgyun. c o m / en / getvroot (without spaces)
Enable DEBUG MODE (Surf the web if you don't know on how to do it).
Plug your device to your PC and wait until Windows Installs the drivers for the connection type.
Without unplugging the device, Change the USB connection type to the next one. Wait 'till windows finishes installation.
Repeat the previous step untill you finish with all connection types.
Check Device Manager for missing drivers. If you have some missing, repeat steps above.
Open VROOT/IROOT and plug your device to the PC. Follow on-screen instructions and wait.
ENJOY!
Now, I have to find a Custom Recovery that works with L50... so if you guys know where I can get one, I'll appreciate your help.
Your Thread will be moved to appropriate Section.
So I tried to make a recovery for this phone, but it cannot boot. It says boot certification error, and the phone reboots normally.
So is it possible that the bootloader is locked? I want recovery for this phone too.
someone know how i can do a nandroid backup on LG L50 ?
Thank you so much. Worked on D213AR
Can you confirm if there is a way to unlock NFC hidden option on my phone?

If you managed to get Root (with the steps described on the OP) You can use Titanium Backup.

Hello,
I have an Xperia L that I want to root and install a custom ROM on it.
The problem is that whenever I connect the phone to my laptop, although it is recognized by the laptop, the drivers are installing, and the phone is connected without any problem, any of the rooting command prompt-based applications I have tried aren't recognizing my phone or they aren't working.
I've tried motochopper, Doomlord easy rooting toolkit, and rootkitXperiaL, all of them downloaded from this forum.
The general error and freeze is "daemon started successfully", but after that there's nothing happening at all.
My cell phone is quite old and used, and the Volume Up button doesn't work, in order to put it in Fastboot mode, if that's gonna' help at all, so is there any solution to this?
Thank you very much.

If you just want to root your phone (using windows pc), I suggest vroot ( older version of iroot for windows). But first you should enable debugging mode in developer options . It works with just one click and simply roots Xperia L ! Then you can feel roots of your phone and use its capabilities
Hello Everyone..!
I Am Using Samsung M30s [Rooted]
[Please Read Patiently]4 To 5 Months Ago My Phone MTP Stopped Working.
Still Finding Solutions.
My Device Can't Be Recognized As A MTP Device By Any PC Via USB.
I Tried Many Cables And Many PCs.
My Phone Doesn't Show Fast Charging Since It Started Not Recognized By PC.
I Watched Almost All YouTube Videos About This Issue None Of Them Worked.
I Think It Would Be Charging Port Problem But I Am So Confused.
Please Help And Suggest Me Someting.
Whenever I Restart Or Switch-Off From Home Button My Root Getting Lost.
I Have To Click Factory Reset To Get Into Recovery In Order To Restore Root.
[I TRIED 100+ METHODS. I DID EVERYTHING BUT NO LEAD]
Thank You.!
In Android settings enable USB-MTP mode if not done yet.
BTW: If in phone's USB-options PTP is listed but not MTP, then maybe what Android may refer to as "File transfer" is the same as MTP.
Thanks For Your Reply But Sadly It Is Not The Problem.
As I Mentioned Above I Explored Almost All YouTube Videos On Related Topic.
This Is Not The Problem.
BTW Thanks...

The USB issues might be a hardware problem, the port itself might be faulty or maybe the soldering around the pins where it connects to your main board may need re-flowing due to breakdown from heat. Have you tried using wireless methods of transferring files between your device and PC?
But I don't see how that has anything to do with your device losing root. These issues may or may not be related.
Is your bootloader unlocked(OEM unlock)?
Do you have stock recovery or custom recovery?
What method did you use to root the device?
Hello Brother Thank You For Your Reply...

When you installed TWRP, what method did you use to install it? Which rooting method did you use, SuperSu or Magisk? Did your rooting method include flashing DM-verity?
Can you give me a link to the specific guide/video that you followed?
Install a terminal emulator app on the device, open the app and type the following commands:
su (press enter, grant superuser permission if prompted)
Then type:
reboot recovery
If you are properly rooted, have granted su permission to terminal emulator and if TWRP is properly installed in the correct partition, this should boot you into TWRP.
You may have overlooked a step or you may have missed a detail somewhere in your rooting method. Or you may have used an incorrect method or file for your specific device. Your device might require something that wasn't in the guide that you followed.
Off the top of my head, those are possible causes of your issue, I may think of others, if I do, I'll post them here.

The Video Guide I Followed While Rooting.
I Did All The Guy Did.
The Method You Told That Using "reboot recovery" Code In Terminal Emulator Is Booting As Usual Like ReBooting.
Doesn't Seems TWRP Exists
Thank You For Your Help..!
And I Wanted To Change The Port But When I Go To Nearby Service Centers They Are Not Seem To Be Right...!
They Told Me To Reset But I Can't Do It.
Whenever I Click On Factory Resett It Just Reboots
I Can't Reset My Phone.
But The Service Guys May Not Know About The Problem
I Have To Send It To A Samsung Repair Center
