my huawei ascend y201pro is almost dead after i attempted to root. i know i may have made a mistake at one point but please forgive my ignorance. so this is exactly what happened before, during and now after rooting.:
I googled for the instrctions and got it. I downloaded the following files:
Root y201 pro.zip
UnlockBootloader.zip
recovery.zip
I extracted the files to a folder on desktop after which i was ready to start.
turned on usb debugging and disabled fast boot and then connected my phone to the pc. Installed drivers.
I clicked on the file unlockbootloader and ran as administrator and clicked on ROOT your phone. I guess here is where the problem was, after clicking on 'Root your phone" there was a command window running several commands automatically on my computer but before it alerted me of successful rooting, i checked my phone and saw a folder "superuser" clicked on it, and minimized the command window on computer screen and moved on to the next step; UNLOCKBOOTLOADER, clicked and worked out fine and closed itself, so i knew am through, i switched off the phone and removed the usb cable then tried to switch it on to no avail. could not charge , not being seen on the computer via the same cable. pulled out the battery and reinserted, tried to switch it on and what i see is the 3 buttons(menu, home and back keys) blinking exactly 10 times before they go off. The screen is completely black with no sign of life. I have searched for a solution to this online and in your forums but mostly are bricked phones which boot to recovery mode. nothing relates to exactly my problem.
any help please . i read the instructins here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2066887

Hello Everyone,
2 days ago i tried to hard rest my Karbonn A21 android phone. i pressed Power+volume+home button. after that there was an error displayed on the screen saying "ENTRY QPST DOWNLOAD". i quickly searched on the internet but wasnt able to find any successful link. but then my computer asked me to format the device, i thought this will reset my phone but unfortunately i was totally wrong. after the format i tried to start my phone again but nothing happened. i also tried different combinations of keys but all nothing happens not even a single pixel lit up lol. then i downloaded cherry mobile flare software and AIO flasher and all the image files and other files required. they didnt work for me too coz my laptop (windows 7, 64 bit) doesnt recognise the device (unknown device or Com5 error). i tried to flash it in fastboot in AIO flasher. it says flashing but nothing really happens even after 10-15 minutes. all the online forums i searched they say enable debugging mode on ur phone in order to reboot but i dont know how the heck i can do it when my phone doesnt even start up lol. I am left with a dead phone now. can anyone please help me out and solve my problem. and please advise me step by step what to do next in order to get my phone working...please...
Solved,
if your story sounds similar to mine(Go to TL;DR) Refer to post 4
ok, where to begin
my N5 was A-OK just 3 days ago running the Dev Preview of Lollipop. by A-OK i mean that it worked but with a few
bugs
(its the dev preview i know, its got bugs) like when i stayed on an app, e.g spotify, and exited to the home screen it
would take like 15 sec for all the apps on the home screen (like 6) to appear. There is not where the problem lies.
Again 3 days ago. i poked around both ROM sections to find a Lollipop based on that was to my liking, found one and
directly downloaded it to my phone (in hindsite it would of been better to do it on my comp) and being no stranger
to flashing ROMs i went on auto-pilot adn begun the wiping of cache and factory resetting, setting up for the move to
more stable ROM. When it was time to flash the ROM I completely downloaded was no where to be found, a bit
panicked i went to a backup i had on the device, it did its thing and i booted it up but it went back to Clockworkmod
recovery screen That's problem No. 1 . I rebooted it still the same thing. Scouring through
the web for help on setting ADB to sideload the ROM. The thing is that when i hooked up my phone to my desktop
it didn't recognize the device, The correct drivers are installed but it doesn't recognize the device its labeled as
unknown USB device. That's problem No. 2
*update i plugged in my N5 and the comp read it as a N5 but when i selected the option to sideload it it doesn't
recognize it anymore
and problem No. 3 is USB debugging might be turned off
TL;DR? 1. Boots into Clockworkmod
2. my computers don't recognize the device
3. USB debugging might be off
-Q: Can USB Debugging be enabled some other way.
Any help is appreciated
why is it double spaced? i find it a bit eye-straining reading that much all bunched together
Setup fastboot on your computer. Once done open a command prompt and type fastboot devices. If it doesnt display a long line of numbers and letters the computer isnt recognizing the device. At this point try a different usb port, and try a different cord, until it recognizes. The fastboot flash the images for 5.0. 1. =profit.

all is good
My Nexus 5 is alive,
i tried to upgrade to 5.0 directly and kept getting errors e.g archive does not have boot.sig/ system.sig. That lead me to look up Boot.sig/System.sig, that lead me to a blog saying i could fix the problem if i added something to the directory, forgot how to get to environmental variables, i went and watched the vid that helped my set up adb/sdk and thats when it clicked..
What if i tried flash-all with KitKat and voila it started running the process of flashing. Since it was basically a new phone unrooted and everything it had the system update to lollipop.
Hello everyone.
Just to get it out of the way, I am very inexperienced with android products. At the moment, I'm having trouble getting my HTC One X (at&t) version to turn on. It all started when I decided to update the android version from 4.1. something to 4.2.2. I went to this site, the HTC website (www . htc . com / us/support/htc-one-x-att/news/) and downloaded the executable file and ran it . Once installation was done a message popped up on my computer stating an error occurred. I look at the phone and it shows the HTC splash screen for a few seconds and it shuts off and immediately turns back on with the HTC splash screen again, a bootloop. I then found out that I can restore the device by entering fastboot and selecting the factory restore option. This didn't restore the device but just entered the bootloop process again. I entered fastboot mode again and this time I selected the recovery option which also failed. I hook up the phone with USB 2.0 to the computer to transfer a stock ROM but computer doesn't recognize the phone anymore ( the computer did at first recognize the phone during installation of 4.2.2). After various attempts to get the phone to be recognized by computer, I gave up and called it quits and decided to power it off through the fastboot option. And now I can't even turn on the phone at all. I plug it to the computer to see if that will prompt the phone to turn on but all that does is charge the battery. The computer does recognize that something is connected to it but fails to recognize the phone.
Is there anything I can do to get this phone working again? I would much appreciate any help with this.
Ok guys I managed to get the phone to turn on again, buts its still in bootloop. Once the phone turns on, the computer notices that the phone is connected and tries to install the drivers but fails as soon as the phone restarts. Essentially the computer is unable to finish installing the proper drivers in time. The driver that its trying to install is "HTC MTP Device".
Put the phone into bootloader mode and run the RUU executable again.

Ok its finally working. Thanks for the help!
I have a Xperia S running cm 12.1 with unlocked bootloaders TWRP installed and i tried to partition my SD card [http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2584759] but clearly something went wrong and now the phone wont boot. I made a lot of research and tried everything but all the guides require to be able to boot into flashmode . My phone is dead the only sign of life is a red led when its charging which after some hours of charge will shut off. When the light is off and the phone connected on PC, the PC can recognize the device on unspecified devices (QHSUSB_DLOAD). i have installed all the needed drivers from Sony, google drivers from sdk, and adb drivers(adb wont see the device and i tried everything to do so, but nothing seem to work). I got a market for android on my pc called mobogenie that when i connect the phone it detects that a phone is connected but wont see what phone. The hardware reset buttons work but its useless in the current position. Concluding, the phone is bricked and wont open in fastboot-flashboot-bootloader-TWRP, its recognized as a device but not as "Xperia s" i got all the drivers and i want to flash the original firmware (already downloaded) to fix it. A possible problem is that the partition table is destroyed and after the flash it will hopefully be restored. The problem is not on the hardware but on software. I tried to trigger the download mode with the Samsung way (USB jig, 300k ohm ) but nothing happened as expected. Every solution i found required flash mode which is not accessible at the moment and i tried lots of things to go into fastboot(ever the rubber band trick, remove the battery etc). PLEASE help i dont know what to do, please help me flash it (i already got flashtool, Emma) or anohter solution. Thanks for the help in advance. (its my first thread in the forum, i hope to post it on the right section, i posted it here because i need the assistance of the developers i guess)
Hi,
You've asked in the correct section: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-s/help/how-to-unbrick-xperia-s-lt26i-tried-t3265523/
so I'll close this thread.
Hi there!, i just bought a Huawei Maimang 5(MLA-AL10, Chinese Version) two weeks ago, then i noticed it had android 6.0 so i decided to upgrade it to 7.0..., since the Huawei Updater didn't find any update for my cellphone i downloaded FirmwareFinder App and use it instead, it worked but during the process the phone just rebooted and got bricked.
I tried to "save it" installing a new firmware via MicroSD, using Huawei eRecovery and Adb Tools, and nothing worked. Here my doubts:
1. Via MicroSD: i' m not sure the firmware i put on the card was the correct, i have found a lot of MLA-AL10 Roms and tried them all without any good results, the phone just start installation and at 5% reboot itself. Is there anyone out there who can help me finding the right one?
2. Via Huawei eRecovery: after i connect to a wifi network, my cellphone shows the next message: "There's no info for the package installed" and the only options i have left are: "Shutdown or Reboot", so i discarded this solution.
3. Via Adb Tools: using command "ADB DEVICES" shows empty list, i have no idea what i am doing wrong, my laptop recognize the phone and HiSuite too, but not Adb.
Hope someone can help me out.
Note: the phone has USB debugging disable.
Try recovery http://www.hardreset.info/devices/huawei/huawei-maimang-5/recovery-mode/
I forgot to mention i tried that too, and i cannot wipe data..., after 5% or 6% the EMUI logo dissapear and shows an exclamation mark.
