Notification didn't work on 2.2.15111841_2.2.03.15111841 - Samsung Gear S2

After I updated my Gear S2 the Notification didn't work.
I try to factory reset on my Gear S2 2-3 times but it still didn't show notification when it alert on my phone.
Thanks for your help.

Take a look at settings, the default is to not alert on the watch while phone is in use. You need to uncheck that if you want notification on both. Good idea if like me you set phone to be unlocked when near the watch.

[Q] how to get samsung gear to show all sms reguadless of screen on or off

I have a Gear with ATN installed.
What do i need to install to get samsung gear notificatioins reguadless of if the screen is on or off?
i have ATN installed and only get Get SMS notifications when my note 3 is in sleep mode....
i am looking to have every text show up on my samsung gear reguardless if the the note 3 is in regular or speep mode.
it is there a setting or app that will get the my gear to not skip displaying SMS when the phone screen is on?
I also don't receive any notifications on my gear when an SMS comes in. I have ATN - everything seems to work except for text. any ideas? Thanks.
I think I found the solution
For those still having some issues with galaxy gear... I think I found the definitive solution. You'll recall that Google hangout now handles text messages on Android... If you have enabled this feature., then that's the problem for the gear text notification.
Not that it will not work, but you'll need to enable notification for hangout in order to receive text notifications on the gear.
Problem solved... Another happy customer!

Persistent Bluetooth notification

Note 5 here, am wondering if there's a way to get rid of the Gear Plugin persistent notification that tells me I'm connected to the gear s2. It's always there (along with the wifi notification) and it's super annoying! If you go into the app manager and into the app the check box for the notification is dimmed out and unselectable.

I've got nothing for you but agree completely. Maybe somebody from Samsung (Or Tizen) reads these forums and will work on an upgrade.
I wish I could get rid of it too. That one reason I miss root. No need for that notification and the WiFi one too.
Sent from one of my many devices.
Couldn't agree more. Both of those notifications are stupid and annoying.
Found a fix...

No whatsapp notifications!

Yesterday i realized that my gear s2 classic is not showing me notifications from whatsapp.... I had an update to the watch few days ago but im not sure if it's related.
I checked the notifications settings on the gear app and the whatsapp is checked.
Any one?
What phone do you have? sometimes, depending on the phone model, notifications can take a while to show up..
Or maybe you don't check notifications permiss of samsung gear app..

Notifications all pop full screen

Sorry if this is a noob question, and yes I did a bit of searching before posting.
New Gear S3 user (first day).
One thing I can't seem to turn off - whenever I get a notification, when I look at the watch, it displays the notification from whichever app as full-screen, instead of just the little "peek" at the top and the yellow dot.
I've tried toggling the setting on the Gear app on my phone in Notifications -> "Auto show details" (I have it turned off, assume that's what it should be?) and also turned all the notifications off and back on, this doesn't seem to help.
I don't see any settings for this on the watch itself in the watch settings app.
Am I missing something?

Tizen 3 Calendar Notifications totally changed

Anyone notice the new way Tizen 3 displays Calendar notifications as 'ALARMS' now? Maybe it's just my watch, but on my Tizen 3 upgraded and full reset Gear S3, the calendar notifications are displaying like an 'alarm' which is so annoying since I have a lot of calendar notifications. Now when I look at the watch and haven't cleared the calendar notification 'alarm', that's what I see when I look at my watch until I've cleared it! On Tizen version 2, the calendar notifications where just that, notifications not 'ALARMS'! I can't seem to find a setting to change this behavior.
Anyone notice this too? And is there any setting to change it?

I have noticed it too. And it is annoying. I am fine for my watch to vibrate and then I can chose to tap a button to see what the notification is. However, now, as you stated, they are displayed as alarms that are persistent regardless of notification settings. I intentionally avoid screen on time to extend battery life between charges. I am good with almost every change made, except this one. They even gave us the option to disable the bezel wake which was a major power drain for me as I unintentionally rotate the bezel quite often, especially sleeping. However, now that all of my calendar notifications turn on the display my battery life is the same or worse. I just want the calendar event notifications to be notifications that can be managed as they were on Tizen 2. This calendar event alarm thing is not a good idea.
