Some applications incompatihsjerrle with my device after factory reset - General Questions and Answers

Hello everyone.
Please help me if you can.
I decided to do a factory reset after I was having some weird problems with my galaxy S4 like volume goes up and down without control.
Now I have some applications that I can not download(or even see) at play store since they became "incompatible".
My question is if it's because I'm using a costume rom and if I restore my phone to it's original rom, should it help?
And if so, how to do it?
For the moment, I installed "clach of clans" from apk file and so far it's working. My concern is that when an update will come out, I won't be able to download it.

[Q] After update to 3389 camera won't work

Ok first post here, been following this forum since Thanksgiving day when I first purchased my G Tab. Thanks to all for for you great posts. I kept it with the stock ui software, never modded to a custom rom. Camera always worked with every update until 3389 that I added yesterday. Everything else worked fine. Here is what I did to get the camera working again. I connected the G Tab to desktop via usb and copied all of my apk's to a folder on my desktop. Rebooted holding power and volume up keys until in recovery mode. Then did a system restore by going to Settings -- Security -- Factory Data Reset. After that the camera was working again.
My question is was that the best way to fix the camera issue? I know when I have an issue with a certain app I just reinstall it over the old one and it works fine again. I wish VS had backups of the stock apps available for us so we won't have to do a system restore and have to reinstall all of our apps. Am I wrong about this?
UPDATE: just noticed that I lost Angry Birds with the restore. Had to download from the market and install.

[Q] lg e720b (bell) flash/root problems

Hey, I'm pretty new to this site and to Android in general. So bear with me =/
To sum up my 2 problems:
The phone does a hard reset every time you reboot from recovery (or try backing up via ccw)
The 2 mods i have been able to find for the e720 have errors when I try to install
Some background info:
I was wondering if anyone has a solution for my woes. My dad's lg chic recently came off the warranty so I decided to root the phone via z4root. Everything was successful and super user was installed.
However, the problem came when i tried to backup my stock rom or access the recovery on the lg. Every time I reboot the phone, it does a hard reset. This also happens when I try to backup the current rom via ccw.
When I access with Clockworkmod 5.0.2.7 via adb using this site: http://www.androidworld.it/forum/lg-optimus-chic-88/clockworkmod-5-0-2-7-per-lg-optimus-chic-32171/
it works, however the two mods i have managed to find for the e720b have the following errors:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1046135
This one says the package used is outdated and this version of CCW does not support it anymore
http://www.madteam.co/forum/development-62/%28rom%29-cyanogenmod-7-1-gingerbread-2-3-7-for-e720/
This one has an error and the operation ends.
Of course, when I reboot the phone, something happens that causes it to have a hard reset (so I basically have to insert my gmail account and reinstall and reapply z4root...superuser is still in the programs however)
After at least 2 attempts per mod, I've given up. Can anyone help? Thanks!
Another summary:
Can anyone figure out why the Lg E720 does a hard reset when I enter recover and just reboot the phone?
Is there another mod for the e720 I am unaware about?
Thanks!
quick bump
can anyone help me? Thanks!
another bump so (hopefully) someone can direct me in fixing this problem
just another quick qump
just another bump
bump, anyone help? please?
Oh I completely forgot about this, bump?

LG Optimus Hub (E510) Black Screen after Factory Reset

Hi,
I'm new to this forum and would appreciate if I can get some ideas on how to fix my problem.
Ok heres what i did:
Some time ago i rooted my device and everything was perfect, but lately i keep getting errors so I decided to perform a factory reset to fix them all.
Due to my inexperience I totally forgot that after i rooted my smartphone i decided to remove the LG Home apk along with the stock browser and the Searck apk from my device, so right after the factory reset and after the initial configuration I got stuck with a black screen, therefore I can't do anything.
I tried long-pressing the MENU button, therefore, I cannot access the Google Play app through the Search to install a launcher, so, I don't know what else to do.
I really need your help, because I'm not able to purchase a new device at this moment.
Any ideas?
Thanks!!!

I assume if you rooted your device go ahead and find a guide for installing cwm ( if you dont have already).
Then pick a custom rom and put it on sd card ( make a folder on it and name it ROM for easier finding) and put the rom into it.
Before you "install from sd card" do: factory reset, wipe cache....then go to advanced and wipe dalvik cache.
Then go back choose " install from sd card", choose rom folder, hit on the rom, install, reboot done.
For more help pm me just cause I have a lg E510 as well and its running cyanogen 7
If i helped hit " thanks"
Thanks!!!

[Completed] White screen on Samsung galaxy Y

Hello people from xda! i need your help... before explaining my current problem, i will describe each step i did before ending here
First, my phone was just crashing and lagging every time. by crashing, i mean aplications like the twlauncher closing, or the play store getting stuck. Software, gingerbread android, i cant remember the version but i think it was 2.3.5 or something like that. This was 2 days ago.
After suffering like... 3 hours (yeah... im pretty impatient :silly i decided to uninstall some apps. Yes, my phone was rooted from beforehand. After uninstalling a lot of stuff, i realize that i unninstalled accidentally the cloak app, and i need it to get up for college and, pretty much, everything, so i decided to try and reinstall it. The stupid mylself of that moment could'nt think of factory reseting, so i used KIES to update the phone. Now, after updating it, i recovered the cloak, but also my phone wasnt rooted. so... i spent a lot of time with different apps in the play store to root my phone again, until i stood with the clockwork mode (is it spelled that way? im not really good at english, im from argentina ) with it, i was able to root my phone (or with some actualization plus it, now i cant remember to be fair). But, yet again, the crashes went worst and worst. So, then, i remembered i can factory reset, and i did. After the factory reset, my phone was again rooted (i dont know why, but the root app "superuser" came with the phone) and i was able to "kinda" work. all the stuff that was crashing was still there, plus i couldnt download anything from the play store because a combination of both the crashes and play services being too much expensives space wise. after that, i founded that there was some way of, by using an app which i cant remember its name, if i had a splitted SD card, i could force apps from the phone into it. theres when the stuff went bad, and my phone got stuck in recovery mode. i could'nt boot, nor factory reset. all of this was yesterday, and today i spent the whole day installing (or atleast trying to install) firmware via odin. when i finally get a pack of boot, csc, pda and modem zips that were all from the same firmware, i installed them in my phone, and after that... white screen! i can hear the logo when i boot, but i cant do anything. the recovery mode is not showing, neither the download one. however, i know they work, as i tried installing the same pack again changing a usb port, and by just following by memory the steps i could get myself into download mode. now, i dont know what to do! please help me yeah, im an idiot too. anyways, thanks for reading at least, and sorry for bad english
i forgot to add the exact model from my phone. it is a GT-S5367 with a single slot for sd card, and as it has a tv thing

Need help with infected Galaxy s21+ ultra (a11, unlocked, rooted)

A while back I was quite under the influence and installed some kind of malware that infected my phone and desktop (I wish i could remember how I did that).
While I recovered my desktop, the phone is another story - at first it was unrooted+locked when the infection happened but since factory resets or flashing ROMs didn't help I decided to root and hopefully somehow save the phone. So:
1) Factory reset does nothing - phone comes back with 400+ system apps with A LOT of permissions that I dont think these apps should have (pretty much everything)
2) I can use ADB to uninstall a lot of this stuff but it persists - there are several apps that lock and softbrick the device if I uninstall them
3) I haven't rooted in ages, wasn't planning on doing it - the infection forced me to. As such I can only guess about what most of these system packages do or whether its backdoors, dummies or some spyware.
4) Flashing a ROM found by Frija didnt help, flashing Ketans ROM didnt help
5) Seems it killed my screen as well or its just coincidence, phone works, touchscreen works but the actual screen stays 100% black and doesnt display anything. I have some control on the phone via DEX.
If someone could help me with cleaning up the phone I would be very grateful - if you help me 100% purge the phone, im offering £25 reward.
Sounds like you need the full factory rom reinstalled. Or maybe (I haven't used Samsung for a while) Samsung SmartManager can find malware files etc and fix without reflashing the full rom?
