hello all,
i recently purchased a new mobile phone micromax bolt q370 , was not aware at the time of buying it that it has another rom apart from stock android which is first touch, and it is quite irritating and slowing my phone.
i am able to disable it, but able to switch it from it to stock android but it again promt me with msg of choosing btw the 2 roms and also while sending txt it is a big time trouble also some pre loaded aaps are consuming much space.
i would like to ask that can i root this mobile to a stock android version?
it is showing that it has lollipop 5.1 installed in it also i would like to ask why i am unable to switch between the apps like my another android phones.
specs of my mobile:-
micromax bolt q370
1.2 ghz quad core
1gb ram
8 gb rom
android lollipop 5.1
this is first time i am going to do any such thing so please guide me accordingly.
also if there is any way i can do this without voiding the warranty of my mobile or is there any way that in near future i can revert back in any case to back what the company offers me to avail the service of warranty?

Because it is for root, and i have read and not rom upload.

My point is that there are people who were active in discussion in that thread, and they are (probably) all subscribed to it, so they will see if there are any updated posts there. Some of them already said that they own the same device as you, so I think they are the best source of information about your clone phone.

I'm new for ANDROID.
I just bought a MTK6577 S720E ONE X 32GB ROM 1GB ROM from China via AliExpress.
The mobile came with:

i have problem with phone where my whenever i open Google Maps, its unable to show my current location. And I'm not able to add/remove panels from home screen and i'm not able to create folders on home screen panels. i have contacted the supplier and he advise its a Software Issues and it can be solve but till todate there is no response from their side.
I have read through some blogs/forum where it says that i could try the option to flash a new ROM like Cyanogenmod 10 jelly bean. Can anyone advise me how can i flash this rom and where can i get a stable ROM. hope to hear something very soon.

Dear Devs. I purchased an Aoson M1013 tablet. Basically it is a 10.1 inch cheap quad-core tablet with A9 Cortex processor, 1GB of RAM. Although the specs are not bad, I have the feeling that the software side is responsible for the tablet's weakness. Under weakness I mean several things and symptoms. The tablet died on me twice in a way that it was only willing to boot into its factory recovery which didn't let me move on to any direction. First I sent it to a tablet shop where they refreshed the factory firmware. Then it was working for a time but the the same thing happened again. I managed to reflash the factory rom by myself, I didn't want to pay any more for maintenance, I'm not a wealthy person. Overall there is the experience that it partially freezes for shorter-longer periods of time. It is exactly like it's lagging or something. It freezes at times and then continues operating with hectic window movement while it's trying to make up for the touch input done while it was temporally freezing. It seems to be a processor issue but I believe it is the question of software and governors maybe. Upon activating wifi these freezes mulitply and the tablet gets really slow. Other times it is really smooth and quickly running, this is why I think it is a software issue. It feels as if it had a soul or something, like there was a ghost in the machine or something. Therefore I would like to ask devs to compile a well-working custom rom for this device. So far I haven't found any of these online, although I was able to root the tablet and install CWM on it. Thank you in advance.

About root, you can use Framaroot => [ROOT] Framaroot, a one-click apk to root some devices

Thank you for the quick reaction, CWM and ROOT are already done. Now what I really crave for is a simple custom rom with no special requests, just a smooth responsive ability to operate the hardware of the tablet. It really seems like the factory ROM is not doing what it is supposed to. As for custom ROMs, I don't know if ROMs for other devices can be installed to this tablet or not. I would like to know if there are any compatible possibilities.
For the last part of your request, I really don't know. It seems that you're the only one with this device here.

This is one of the many reasons why before modifying anything you need to do a backup. Now unfortunately there is nothing available in terms of device support for this tablet. You can register and ask your question here
However, you will likely need to keep searching for the stock rom for this. Perhaps a good starting point would be to check the eom's site

Hi to everyone, I'm just new here and I am not a developer or anything, I only wanted to ask for some help to anyone out there who also facing the same problem as mine and got solved if ever.. Recently I just got this smartphone from cherry mobile (Cherry Mobile Life 2.0) a chip phone which I can say atleast good at daily usage, when i have decided to root it because i have read so many blog telling that rooting your smartphone brings out the full capacity and customization to your phone, luckily i find some way to root my device using some specific software called "KingRoot" but when i decided to go for installing and using custom rom (if ever theres some custom rom for this device) i found nothing, ive searched the web over and over and yet I cant find anything, hope you could help me guys.. sorry for my bad english and thanks in advance for the help..

I own a videocon VT85C tablet. Its roughly 5 to 6 years old. This thing has 1Gb RAM.
I have rooted this device thanks to XDA team, however, presently I would like to flash a custom ROM on it.
I have tried official TWRP app but my device isn't listed on it. Even tried with clockworkmod and flashify but couldn't find a working thing.
I don't want this device to get bricked.
So basically I wanted help regarding some discussion on this device. A help would be very much appreciated.
