Can I root my phone with G920FXXU3COI9 without the loss of knox 0x0? - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Got my phone 2 days ago it has G920FXXU3COI9 out of the box. Is there a way to root it without the loss of knox ? I dont want to trip it after using my phone for only 2 days
Thx in advance

If you root your phone with Ping Pong root you will not trip Knox. If you root by any other method or install a custom recovery you will trip Knox and will never be able to reset it.

[Q] Towelroot, KingRoot, other Temp Root and KNOX

Hi,
I am really tempted to root my work phone and I am totally digging these Temporary Root methods like TowelRoot and KingRoot where the root is lost upon reboot. I haven't been able to find a clear answer and I figured i'd ask here.
Can someone tell me if these methods trips the KNOX warranty counter? I have a Note 4 and like I said, it's a work phone and I wouldn't want any issues down the road if I left the company or whatever.
I would be open to hearing if there are permanent root methods that don't trip KNOX as well for the Note 4.
Thx in advance.
I found this older thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2499546&page=2
Where they are saying it doesn't trip knox, but I'm not sure about now in 2015.

That thread is for Note 3.
By the way, Latest Kingroot doesn't trip the Knox.
Anyway, you could ask it in the Note 4 Forum here.

[Q] Will Kingo Android Root SM-G920F w/o knox trip

Hi
I want to root a Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920F on 5.1.1 without tripping KNOX. I plugged it in to the PC and it gave me the option to root. As there is no root method for 5.1.1 ATM, will Kingo Android Root trip KNOX? Anyone tried it?

KNOX will trip if you install a no signed kernel.

Root G920FXXU2BOFJ without tripping KNOX?

Hey dudes,
I'm relatively new to Samsung devices, so I have few big questions.
1. Is it possible to root the new firmware G920FXXU2BOFJ without tripping KNOX counter?
2. If there is a way to root but only with tripping KNOX, can I somehow reset the counter and go back to 100% stock without any traces?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, there is a method using PingPong Root however you need to be on 5.0.2. If not then unfortunately there is no way to root at the moment without tripping knox.
I know about PingPong Root. But I'm asking to root 5.1.1! ?

There is currently no way to reset the counter at the moment. I am sure some devs will figure it out at some point.
Alright! Thanks a bunch....Guess that means waiting for me

Would you recommend any tools for an easy root/unroot? PingPongRoot doesn't support my model yet.
Is there any one click root method? I tried Root Genius and it also failed.

As mentioned before, there is no root method for 5.1.1 that doesn't trip KNOX.
All Samsung devices that received the 5.1.1 update (Note 4, Note Edge, S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus and Note 5), have got security patches that prevent root.
The only way to root 5.1.1 devices is by using a Custom Kernel which trips KNOX.

Will it trip KNOX?

Hello! I bought a S6 (G920F) two months ago and it came with 5.1.1 android installed. I want to root it but without tripping KNOX because I have two year warranty. I know that pingpong root does this but on 5.0.2. Can I flash the official build for 5.0.2 via Odin and don't get KNOX tripped? Thanks!

Once on 5.1.1 you can't go back to 5.0.2. I can't remember the outcome of trying but it may result in a brick.
I think you could flash an engineering bootloader for the F variant and root it without tripping knox
