Messed while deleting boltware from Samsung Ace duos GT-S6802 (S6802DDMA1) kernel 7 Jan 2013 using Jumobile "system app remover",Result gallery app not working, not even after reset. No backup found in recycle bin of app. Later Downloaded ES file explorer and found Gallery3D.apk and Gallery3D.odex file already there but not able to install from there within ES file explorer after permitting root access .Later found odex file is of zero size. I think odex file is corrupted. Can any one tell how to overcome this problem.

HELP ME...
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2, running Gingerbread XWKDD, Android 2.3.3, Samsung's Touchwiz 4.0.
Rooted my SGS2 and got Titanium Backup, I uninstalled the clock app because I thought it was a widget and I didn't want to see alot of widget. Anyway, turns out the clock 1.0 is actually a system app by the name of com.sec.android.app.clockpackage
and titanium backup can't reinstall it, when i extract the .apk from the backup file and try manually installing, it doesn't install either, just says application not installed.
I also can't find this on Android market.
ok, so after some digging i found that com.sec.android.app.clockpackage.apk still existed in system/apps but just wasn't running. I also noticed for almost every .apk, there was a .odex. But for my clockpackage, there was no .odex, maybe that's why it's not working?
on that thought, maybe anyone here can copy their .odex files for the 2 clock .apks and send them to me? Just use Root Explorer to see the system/app folder, mount R/W if you need to, then copy the 2 .odex files and then upload them somewhere? Pls?!?
if you want root explorer, holla at me via pm
Hi,
I have the same problem with Contacts.apk (no .odex, Titanium or. RootExplorer can't install), so i can't open the number-pad to make a call.
I have tried to copy the backuped Contacts.apk manualy to /system/app, the rebooted, but it don't hlep.
Solved: I have Installed the VillainROM 1.0 and the app is back.
U tried reflashing your current rom??
Its the most clean solution... Because if you copy and paste from another device i'm sure about the system file its not going to work correctly(cache data from another device...mmm i think it will not work...)

My device is Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. I've tried Task ROM and now the AOKP ROM on it. I found the same problem on both ROMs.
What I have been trying to do was changing the permissions of a .ini and a .sh file in /data/data/some app folder/ after I modified the files. I used ES File Explorer to change the permisions of those two files from rw-rw-rw- to r--r--r--. But after making the change, I found myself still able to edit them and save the changes. How can this happen? Am I doing anything wrong?
Hello Fiendz
I have Samsung Galaxy Grand Lite i9060 OS Android 4.2.2 PreRooted (Official ROM).
I have a problem some weeks before i installed a game and now many time i reflashed my mobile firmware but still im not able to delete or move game folder ( OBB Folder ) which is located in device memory. I also tried Root Explorer but unable to change Folder permissions. But when i just copy OBB Folder in extnal SD and tried to change folder i successfully changes folder permissions but i can't change folder permissions in device memory. Now just tell me how to ((( MOVE OBB Folder ))) or ((( DELETE ))) the folder.

Please Help I have deleted xbin folder in system/xbin in my samsung gts5303 and now i want to again root my samsung gts5303 but it is not rooting now.Firstly i have rooted it with Root Master android app but now when i m trying to reroot it with Root Master app it shows Sucessfully Rooted and also installs supersu app but not installs binary becouse binary is installed in system/xbin folder and i have deleted it.
and an unknown folder sbin is added in /sbin. and it is empty i have no root acess but when i m deleting it it is sucessfully deleted but when i comeback to / path it is added again
Now i m requesting you to please solve this problem and give me any app by which i can add xbin folder again in system/ with out root.and with out pc because i have not any pc...
thanks in advnce...
I hope you have a nandroid back up, otherwise it is going to be really hard to do with out a PC handy.
You will not be able to add File or folder in system even 3rd party app will not be able to write on system folder without root permission so try to full unroot the phone then again try to root so there is a chance of reinstalling binary again anyway don't you have nandroid backup?
how can i do nandroid backup

Hello everyone, i have a rooted phone GT-I8262 and i used to delete the system apps before by ES Explorer or root explorer, though i'm now facing a problem with a file that i can't delete, it says you have no permission to do it, this app is called (DU battery saver) each time i uninstall it from my phone and restart the phone, it shows me that black screen after the boot logo which is (android is upgrading) so after i open the phone, i see that (Du battery saver) is installed once again.. i had to go to the system files apps folder and couldn't find it there, so i found it in another directory in DATA/APP folder, so i tried to remove it by 2 kind of file explorers like ES and root explorer and after giving them the permission of root. but i couldn't remove it, is there any way to remove such protected apk files?
please help, thanks
