You mean a screen protector? Leave it on, they all come with one to protect the screen.

I bought a Nillkin glass screen protector from taobao. It is smooth and easy to stick on screen. But it is not very well in anti-fingerprints.
Wow
Sweet, I didn't even know glass screen protectors exist.
I've discovered that pressing down on the center of the screen on my LG G Pro 2 will create pressure distortions on the screen itself so I'll definitely be getting one of these.
gooddddddddddddddddd

i believe you need to get "matte" type, instead of "clear"
just search on ebay, many and cheap as USD2 for 3x
but with matte the brightness will be reduced

Does anyone's P8 Max screen bend when you put pressure on it?

I received my P8 max not too long ago and while I was trying to clean a smudge on my screen with a microfibre cloth I noticed that even a light bit of pressure caused the screen to flex/bend inwards(?). I never encountered this happening with any of my previous phones, is this normal? I'm worried its gonna cause permanent damage to the screen if it keeps happening..
It's normal. I have "signs" on the screen from my smart cover.

Sorry, what do you mean signs on your screen from the smart cover? I don't understand
Ok, this is not the same case. "Signs": the prints of round perforations from smart cover. I have not the screen protector and the reason is probably the surface dust film.

No im not talking about case, I mean the the actual phone screen. It bends when you push on it lightly. I was wondering if its the same for everyone else?
No. Nothing happends with the screen when i clean it.
My Mediapad X2 slightly bends if I leave it in my pocket and bend over. I can notice it by putting it on the desk. A device so large and made of aluminum will have some bend unfortunately.

I see, does the metal body bend as well or just the screen? Because on my ipad mini when I press against the screen its like a hard glass and doesn't bend like the P8 Max. It's almost as if the P8 max has a plastic screen or something.

Yeah, you can see ripples on the screen if you push in on the glass. I think it's just a laminated display and not gorilla glass.

screen protector

Hi,
I have recently purchased a p9 lite and I was planning on putting a screen protector on it, however it seems like to me that something is already on it by default (at least it was like this straight out of the box). See the pictures attached. Is it something I should remove before applying my own protector? do I even need one with this pre-applied?
Unfortunately I cant embed outside links in my message directly because of the forum policy, but here are the links (replace the dots):

You should look for 3mk hybrid glass because logo in P9 Lite is not so flat and there could be bubble problem with regular glass protection

You have a plastic screen protector applied from factory.
If you plan to apply a different like tempered glass, first remove the pre applied one. Otherwise you will have touch issues sometimes
Now this help me a bit ..mine came with a screen protector in the accessories box but it didn't have one applied from the factory and I tried 2 different tempered glass ones and both have ended up with an air bubble by the logo..

Did anyone try this one out?
http://nillkin.org/smartphones-acce...e-g9-accessories/nillkin-huawei-p9-lite-g9-pe
I looked as much as I could for a screen protector with a cut-out,but I nothing came up.
just tried a glass protector from PULESEN ,left me with huge bubbles around the logo as well ... dont think any of the protectors would work fine given they are all flat... seems to be a problem of the phone really

This may sound extreme, but has anyone tried scratching the logo off(with fingernails,of course)?
My P9 lite (L21) Also came with protector in the accessories box but the shopkeeper told me that its not a glass protector so he applied another glass protector but now i have 2 huge bubbles of air at the bottom.I Wonder if i had asked him to apply original protector that came in the accessories box would bubbles appear even then? Anyone?

Mine came with the factory protector pre-applied (see the images in my original post) that one is supposed to be just a plastic protector so it is more flexible than the glass one, and I had no bubbles with that on, however probably worse in terms of protection. The choice is yours
I just stumbled upon this one:
http://s.aliexpress.com/3mM3MVfM
I will take the "Black" and the "Clear" one. The "Black" one has a cut-out for the logo, and people in the comments don't complain about the bubble on the logo with the "Clear" one.
As soon as they arrive,I will make a reply describing both.

I too experienced the bubble issue but on top and the bottom. Near the logo and around the speaker area. Seems to lift easily at the top and bottoms of the handset is it a shape of the handset? I'm trying to understand before purchasing another.
What is meant by '3mk hybrid glass'?

It's supposed to be flexible glass which won't "reject" a little bump like the logo.

EDIT
I found it for around 8$ on this link:
http://s.aliexpress.com/3eMbIBFB
I bought the tempered glass from HERE
I paid 4.5$ in total(3$ and 1.5$ shipping),and it arrived in only 7 days. The package was snug,I got a little phone bag as a gift, and it is just awesome. Got instructions, wet and dry wipes and dust removal and screen placement stickers.
I will definitely buy another few of the Clear HD ones, and will try with the black frame one.
There were no bubbles around the logo,as visible in the pic. Those bubbles on the top are only because I placed it a bit too far to the top, otherwise those who are skilled at placing it will have a literally perfect fit. It is precisely sized to cover the whole front.
For 4.5$,I pretty much have the 2.5d screen like the P9. xD

With just 0.2mm thickness. It seems to me a very good choice. Thanks for tip.

Which glass screenprotector did u use then? because I am having the same problem? :s
Hello,everyone!
I ordered the Black framed tempered glass from HERE.
It arrived and I applied it,but there are some bad things.
The good thing is that there are no bubbles visible.
The bad thing is that the Black glass is a bit smaller than the Full HD Clear one,and its screen zone is smaller than the phone's actual screen. I did manage to balance it out so the cut-out was minimal, but it's still there.
Here are some pics.

Screen protector

I have a US Honor 6X BLN-L24. I noticed the phone has some sort of protector on the screen. Is this meant to be an actual screen protector or is it just a stronger version of the plastic film that usually ships on phones to protect it during shipment?

Mine came with the screen protector not on the phone. So maybe your carrier put if for you. But yes its a permanent screen protector
The Honor 6X does come with a preinstalled screen protector as well as a spare.

Redmi K20 Pro Screen protectors.

Planning to get the Redmi K20 Pro but would like to keep it minimal in terms of protection. Just need some scratch protection.
Seen Gadgetshieldz full body screen protector as one of the recommendations.
https://www.gadgetshieldz.com/xiaomi-redmi-k20-pro-screen-protector-guards.html
Anything else that can be used without adding much bulk just for scratch protection? Don't want to hide those lovely patterns on the k20 back.
You should be able to use any screen protector for the Mi Mix 3 we they have the same screen size.

Have you seen or tried the Mobile Outfitters films for front, back or whole size?
So I recently got my Mi 9T pro and found this thread while looking for a screen protector.
Has anyone tried the linked one from gadgetshieldz? If yes, good experiences? Does it cover the complete screen? I really can't stand the glass protectors which leave like 2mm of the screen on each side completely uncovered...

bought Glazedinc screen protector.. its hard and solid. covered every side.
I am using The Ringke Red Case, along with a generic Hydragel screen Protector from AliExpress (₹65). Till now my phone has had atleast 6-7 falls of which 2 were serious enough to stop the heart but zero bumps or cracks...
I haven't felt the need for over priced screen protectors from Glazedinc or anyone else...
Previously i used to use S-sheildz (Origin of GadetshieldZ from USA). Had to use water to apply the film but it was good enough that in my 7+ years of using them never had a screen scratch.... Or crack.. But can't find a source anymore. And Don't want pay more then 200 per screen guard....

once the Hydragel screen protector is applied, can that be removed .. when we dont want it..
I am using a nillkin screen protector 0.33mm without the black edges. Fits perfect without any bubbles or ring effect. So far the best screen protector for this phone if you want a glass screen protector. It has good olephobic coating so it's smooth and because I got the 0.33mm version they don't crack easily.
Where did you buy that? I have Nillkin tempered glass screen 0.2mm from Amazon India. It doesn't cover the whole screen. It doesn't even cover the display area completely. It also has halo around the edges even though I went to mobile phone store and asked them to apply the screen protector.
This is in fact my 3rd screen protector. I applied 2 others - one which had black edge which covered part of the display, and second one without black edges which also didn't cover the entire display.
I've also bought a set of 2 from GearBest, but I haven't applied it as it's the same size as the Nillkin one.
2 more on the way from Aliexpress, but I'm not too hopeful about them either. I don't want to take chance with another Nillkin, but you've found one that covers the entire screen and the edges stick properly as well, then I'd like to try it.

Oh easily,,, It's just some kind of plastic+rubber film that is preventing any scratches on my screen... Should offer enough protection from breaks also...
I'm using Clearplex on the screen with this phone. Is awesome. The case in the box is nice but not very strong, it's breaking in corners without getting hit or fallen.
I ordered hydrogel back film (Im waiting for it from Aliexpress) and a Nillkin transparent cover to have a couple of options.
Does transparent Nillkin cover get yellowish after a couple of months?

Hmm I bought in lazada which is like aliexpress but for my country the 0.33mm one doesn't breakf easily and I understand what you mean by not fitting fully it does have like a gap of few cm of the edges. But a case solves this. I am using spoken case btw. it doesn't have the rainbow effect though. When I got it and install I just push the bubbles out from the side the rainbow effect is gone. Idk maybe different place they use different kind of glass. I am using Redmi k20 pro btw
