You are coming across as very frantic so step 1 is to calm down...the world is not going to come to an end because you can't get an update installed. If you are unable to USE your phone then that's something you should have mentioned in the post. You ask for help but don't provide any details as to what happened when you tried to apply the update, what error you received or what the phone is doing now. We are not mind readers so you do need to supply specifics for folks to be able to help.

Have you considered using the mobile q software to revert your phone to "factory condition"? It may even already have the update incorporated in the image it downloads. I would also try deleting the update and letting it redownload on the off chance you got an incomplete download.

- How it working: If in the SD Card Path + \xxxxxx\CLRCAD.exe And SD Card Path + \xxxxxx\HARET.EXE files exist, you have one screen to make choice between Android or Windows, else no, you can chose only Windows
- If you don't make one choice under 5 seconds the tool will make for you, using the last OS
-NB: This little soft must be installed under Windows Mobile !!!
Edit:
Now by default the timer is at 5 seconds
If you want change this, you can do it by change the value in the file:
\Program Files\Android Windows Boot\Delay.txt
Enjoy

Then why not just flash a stripped down version of WM6.5 which has a Android bootloader already installed?
It will boot into windows very quickly and also automatically boot into android if you have a android folder.
This mainly for people who still use WM as their main OS but still want choice of 2 at first boot.

theres a thread here that one member sent an email to alcatel and they responded that we will get an update soon to fix some of the issues we have
I bought an Alcatel Hero 2 from Amazon. Haven't recieved it, but i saw from youtube videos that they said it's chubby. The device has Android 4.4, do you think Alcatel will release an upgrade to upgrade to Lollipop? Or am I stuck with this version for ever?

Is there not a Hero 2 section of the forum? The idol 3 was only released at the end of may and is still being released to other places such as canada on june 30th so it's a little early for it to have any updates.

No there isn't. How can make them here create a section for the Hero 2? The Hero 2 was release last September, so is it also early to have an upgrade officially from Alcatel? How good is Alcatel with upgrades? i.e, do they care about upgrades? Or am I stuck with Kitkat?

Talk to the mod's to see about getting an area added....as for the Hero 2....a quick google seems to indicate it's been rooted...you should check google to see if custom recoveries have been setup for your phone...if so I'm sure someone somewhere has created rom's for you.

I found only a web page that says there's a Lollipop ROM for it, but it seems SCAM (cloudwire.co/alcatel-hero-2/). Because the same web page is created for many devices (cloudwire.co/) with the same wordings and pictures, even the same comments. This page is replicated across many web pages with the same comments but with different names for the users! So I'm afraid to follow the instructions there, because it can have spyware.
If I build a vanilla ROM from the Android source code, do you think it will run fine on my Alcatel? Or am I going to face drivers issues? Also, if it failed, can I return to the original ROM? Many thanks for your help!

You can't flash a rom to the device without a custom recovery such as CWM or TWRP. You can't build a recovery without the source to build the boot.img for your particular device. It's alot more involved than you think and if you want more info you might try posting your questions to Android Q&A.

From the quick looks of it. It looks like that could very well be the small update that most of us got when we first got out phone. It looks like he had an older build version of 5.0.2 and the ota was only 84mb in size. All the 5.1.1 updates I have seen have been sever hundred megs.
Sent from my 6045I using XDA Free mobile app
I have received also an update 5.0.2-01004 on my idol 4.7. Does somebody now the changes of the update.

I can confirm, though there seems to be 2 different updates (maybe one for the 5.5" and one for the 4.7")
My Idol 3 5.5" (OT-6045Y) has just been updated to 5.0.2-010 03. As expected, I can't find any changelog anywhere, so I will report here any noticeable change as I find them.
EDIT: Just found a new animation in the display settings when reversing the phone. It's called Helix.
Today i get the update to the 5.5" 32g i don.t know what are the modifications. When the phone was getting actualized it has got an system actualization and an android actualization the update has 120mb
Sorry my bad English...
I don't know why I have this build number on my Idol 3 whats the latest build number?

Thank you. Do you know if the KDZ software on this site works for the K371?
Edit: There is none available according to the link.
I'll be getting this phone soon and I want to start development on it. Being able to restore after a softbrick/hardbrick would be useful in developing for this device.
At least filter the kdz of this update.
Since I can not update it by ota
Anyone have a follow-up on this? Some sites say AT&T has already started FOTA for the K371, but I haven't seen anything so far.

ENG: it's because the update does not depend on LG, it comes directly from at&t. That's why I asked you if you updated it with the method you describe before.
ES: Se debe a que la actualización no depende de LG, viene directamente de at&t. Por eso te pregunté si lo habías actualizado con el método que describes antes.
Yes, seems to be OTA only so far. I'd be happy to dump it if someone wants to provide directions. since we don't have root that may not be easy. Haven't seen any major changes to the device or anything. Just nougat stuff. for AT&T users all the AT&T services (VoLTE, Wi-Fi Calling, Advanced Messaging) are working fine.

I just did fastboot oem unlock (because fastboot flashing unlock and fastboot flashing unlock_critical said unknown command) and then used MiFlash Tool to flash the image, everythin works fine
So this is the real deal no GSI or something
See my procedure here, but I give no guarantee it works for you. These are just the steps I made:

Does it work without problems? if it works bless you man!
Put the image of fastboot without data loss. Significantly improved responsiveness of the system. I have not found any bugs yet. Attached the correct .sh to anyone.

Did you use the boot.img in fastboot image? I tried patching that one but when booted the patched_boot.img magisk doesn't prompt me to install it.

I had to hit the Install button manually too, so that shouldn't be a problem.

There isn't the install button, there's only one string that say "installed 17.1" with the green check but I cannot install or uninstall it as I did on previous versions on Oreo with the same method

There's no option I'm magisk... It just says "installed" but there aren't options as there was in oreo (I followed the guide for the previous build with oreo with no problems at all). Don't know what's the problem but I have no time till tomorrow to do it again if I'm not sure it'll work
Edit: today it worked perfectly, probably there was a problem with network connection yesterday at home thanks for all!
Hi guys,
I am trying to update to the official Android 12 update released by Asus. Usually I would download the file in the root folder and the system would automatically pick it up and update the phone. Note it does that but when I say yes to the update, it says the update failed. I have the tencent version of the phone running WW firmware. What an I don't wrong?

Did you try updating to .229 version?. Try updating to the latest android 11 version and then try to update to android 12.
I was actually in your firmware before android 12 update (mine is not a tencent converted ww). But the system update didnt recognise the android 12 update file initally. So i did update to latest android 11 and then updated to android 12
After I downloaded and put the update in the main storage directory I had to reboot for it to recognize the update, then it took a good 20 minutes after I okay'd the update for it to start
I also have Tencent here in the US with ATT converted to US version.
I tried to update to Android 12 but it said failed. I had to download the latest android patch and apply it and then ot let me update to android 12. And I am loving it so far.

I come here from the Zentalk
Some user have a lot of issues after A12 update, like battery life, phone temperature
Did you get any of the issue
The update has two files on the same day, one for Android 11 and Android 12, so it will be necessary to apply the Android 11 update and then the Android 12 update, I did so and I am satisfied with the latest version of Android , it has not presented me with problems and for me the operating system feels lighter
Asus Rog Phone 5 Tencent Version 12 Gb Ram 256 Gb Rom, Finger Print WW, update manual always
Seems they pulled the Android 12 update for WW devices and the official downgrade goes back to .226
That usually means they had more failed updates than successful ones, so it may be wise to wait for the next one.
Edit: It's back up and they've really put some effort into it.

Zero Issues with me so far. As far as the battery I actually get much better battery life after the update. But after the update I did went thru alot of settings and tweaked stuff. Like battery customization, I turned off alot of things that were killing my battery for no reason. Besides that my face recognition has been spot on all the time no bugs like before.

You are the best developer 4 me here !!Anyone complaining tell them to f.. off. I just bought Galaxy Z flip 3 and seen your app for cover screen to launch all app but the necessity to turn all device protection off puts me off the app. Could you instead add the necessity to touch fingerprint sensor every time someone wants to launch any chosen app in your program? That would be much safer for users.thx for your hard work. Wish U lots of donation
@vitarra This is the wrong thread and the wrong device. It's best not to discuss it here.
Hi guys, I updated my rog phone 5s to the last update available, WW-206. Now I'm trying to update to the android 12, and keep getting a Failed message every time I tried to install the Android 12 update. Did someone have this problem?
Any recommendation what I should do to install the new Android in my phone?
Is there anyway to get from 206 to Android 12 or is not an option definitely not working for me

Just upgrade sequentially up to the version you want instead of skipping. And you can always start over again by RAW flashing to one of the older versions and go up again.

Yeah I did all sequentially and then realised 206 Android 11 is newer then the Android 12 file, presuming that's why the update just fails.
