I just did fastboot oem unlock (because fastboot flashing unlock and fastboot flashing unlock_critical said unknown command) and then used MiFlash Tool to flash the image, everythin works fine
So this is the real deal no GSI or something

bootloader can be unlocked at any time, you do not have to wait for anything.

Thank you very much, I flashed it through MiFlash (with the adjusted script). Magisk is gone for now obviously, but I hope for something to come the next days.

Did you use the boot.img in fastboot image? I tried patching that one but when booted the patched_boot.img magisk doesn't prompt me to install it.

I had to hit the Install button manually too, so that shouldn't be a problem.

There isn't the install button, there's only one string that say "installed 17.1" with the green check but I cannot install or uninstall it as I did on previous versions on Oreo with the same method

There's no option I'm magisk... It just says "installed" but there aren't options as there was in oreo (I followed the guide for the previous build with oreo with no problems at all). Don't know what's the problem but I have no time till tomorrow to do it again if I'm not sure it'll work
Edit: today it worked perfectly, probably there was a problem with network connection yesterday at home thanks for all!

1) go settings / Applications
2) Erase the data updates and "smart display" and "intelligent voice command" (before deleting the data put force close
3) restart and install the zip via recovery
4) Make wipes
5) intalen the apk motovoice
6) disfutar
motovoice apk
Zip flasheable

Yes, I set mine for ok jarvis.
I can't sens WhatsApp msgs. Forces close. =\
It seems that all commands that need accessibility causes FC.
For example "play something on youtube" or "send whatsapp"

For me send what's app and play something in YouTube works fine don't know why you have that issue

I think so, I've read that the gallery and camera apks won't work properly on 4.4.3. But i dunno if this info is correct.

This changes anything on the active display too? I've see that on the new Moto X it shows up to 3 notification icons ate once (instead of 1 of the older moto X).

Yes just install.zip via twrp..just incremental
For some reason my device is not passing safety net .
Other than that it seems ok. Some updates in the camera app.
There is also some minor stuff
- now You can mute the phone / enable do not disturb mode from volume panel
- there is a white box "HDR" under HDR switch in MIUI camera app when HDR is anabled (also when auto-mode decides to enable it) (HDR still screw up the pics at least for me)
- when you take a screenshot, a miniature version will apear in top right corner and stay there bouncing for a few seconds. Then You click on it it's going to show You the whole pic. You will be also able to send, edit and delete it from that position

Try recovery rom with miui system updater. Worked for me.
I am currently on beta 8.5.10. What would be the safest way to update to 9.5.11 (preferably using TWRP, I don't mind wiping data)?

You have to download and flash "Universal Safetynet fix" - Google it.

You can all flash with stock Mi recovery without any problem, just use Xiaomi ADB and his sideload function!
It will go something like this:
XiaomiADB.exe sideload_miui miui_HMNote5HMNote5ProGlobal_V9.5.11.0.OEIMIFA_691301a005_8.1.zip
After dirty flashing this update, camera screen went blank. I flashed full rom. Was earlier on v9.5.6.0

First flash 9.5 rom via twrp then after boot flash 9.5.11 update. Also don't forget to flash lazyflasher if you don't want mi recovery replacing twrp.

Resolved after wiping davlic and cache in twrp
When I try to flash Incremental OTA with TWRP it says "failed".
When I try to install with OTA, (choose update package) it says "it's not allowed to upgrade to unofficial ROM package".
I am running 9.5.6.0 unlocked with TWRP and root.

The pie update for our beloved Mi A1 was released one day after the beta version did. Currently the places where we can get the OTA update are : Netherlands and also Austria (As far as i know) if you are in one of these countries try to update it without making any of these steps !
Note : This isn't the beta update is the official OTA Pie update !
Steps:
1. Remove your SIM card
2. Go to settings and clear : Google App, Google Framework, Google Play Services, Location Service
3. Reboot
4. Open vpn with country Netherlands/ Austria (VPN doesn't matter as long as its a VPN)
5. Go to update and check it
PS. If it doesn't work try it 2 or 3 times the procedure

True! It happened to me, lost LTE because of this. Please be extra careful when doing this or if you don't mind then go ahead, haven't face any other issue so far, it feels faster.

Try setting the VPN to USA, that worked for me, just keep in mind the possibility of losing LTE

Updated using the VPN method, used Windscribe VPN, everything works great, first bootup was longer. LTE works (Czech Republic)

I want to be sure I am using the correct firmware for this patch. It is for October right ?
Can anyone tell me if this is the correct firm to use for this boot.img patch ?

Ok thank you for the info. BTW -- I just noticed that they are pushing NOV UpDate to my phone.
I just lost Root on my last update, so I might try this ... but I assume if I update to Nov then I can
NOT GO BACK to a lower version and I can not get Root ? Am I correct ??

Oh ? I must be confused again Would I use the boot.img from this thread we are in now ? the October Patch ? Even though it is
a November update ? and do you know if TWRP will instal also ?
So I would just allow them to push the update to my phone, then start the root process again with your boot.img via Odin. ?

Yes this boot.img will work and twrp also.

I used both crDroid-20221203-m12 and riceDroid-20221202 they both booted properly.
I noticed lags on UI on both roms.
In crDroid and riceDroid there is a bug, when I unlock the device the UI just freeze for 3 seconds and then works normally.
even VoLTE is not working too, I am unable to call any one.
In riceDroid there is a bug, when changing the light and dark theme if you select the scheduled theme as sun rice to sun set the android gets boot loop repeatedly.
I am happy that at least some one tried to build custom rom for this device.
I am waiting for the bugs to be fixed soon.
please fix it asap I want to use this rom.
please do not discontinue the development.

Note: you have to add that img to .tar using compression software

crdroid does not start at all, and the image does not install via adb.

You can not install it via adb you should download the Odin tool to flash the recovery first, take that recovery.img and compress it into .tar using 7zip that's it use the Odin tool to flash the .tar file

Please note: if you installed the recovery of cr Droid please use cr Droid rom and vice versa, and before you install make sure you factory reset the system, data and cache partition.
