[Q] Best ROM KitKat 4.4 for Xperia E Dual

Dear All,
Im reading for days but I cannot figure out: What is the most stable KitKat (v4.4.x) version for the Sony Xperia E Dual (C1605). All the versions I see e.g. CM11 are almost one year old with bugs. I like to have the camera working. I also see a lot of FW/ROM cominations. But I don't see a version which is stable and say one or two monds old.
Can someone tell what is the latest most stable KitKat (v4.4.x) ROM (and kernel). I don't need special theams, overclocking, games etc I only need stability at KitKat. And where to download

All KitKat based ROM that there are currently are only for single Sim version and no one is stable because port KitKat on an old device is difficult. Try stock based ROM and you will not be disappointed (I hope).
Thank you very much for your answer.
Ok that's why I didn't succeeded. I tried several roms and kernels but none of them worked with dual sim or where 4.4.
I now recovered with flashmode and C1605_11.3.A.3.1_CE.ftf. Hopefully this also restores the kernel and wipes all previous settings?
I hope it will work better now. My xperia rebooted automatically so now and then (especially after power down) and I had hoped to solve it with a new ROM. Because it's not the battery or battery contacts.

When you flash a firmware it'll reset all your settings, contacts, etc.
So your device reboot by itself? I never had this problem and I think that you will not solve it flashing another ROM, anyway I recommend to you to try Candy's ROM (by TheBrainCandy).
P.S.: Sorry for my bad English.

State of Multi-Window Solutions for Lollipop

Hi! I'd really like to have OmniROM-style splitscreen functionality on my Rooted Xperia Z3; however, there don't seem to be any working solutions for 5.1.1. XHaloFloatingWindow causes bootloops and is pretty glitchy, and XMultiWindow just does nothing. I'm running Xposed v70 (20150808) and I'm not using a custom ROM. What are my options?

[Completed] In search of a good stable rom.

I tried rr mm and its not stable.
I have Xperia ZR
It was charging slow.
OS was laggy and slow.
Gave me 1.9gb internal out of 4.64gb.
It no option to move apps to sd card like sony stock 5.1.1
I need a good rom thats fast stable and supports apps to sd
I know Cm13 but that too is still nightly.
Any tested suggestion please
5.1.1 will do but i prefer 6.0.1.
And it shouldn't have any bugs.
Help me sorry for being a noob.

Pratik,
The developers here build these roms in their spare time. Our job as users is to test these roms and give them feedback and bug reports so they can improve them. They are not here just so people can shop around and take without giving back. Some work is needed on your part to test features, report problems and try to troubleshoot some issues yourself. You'll find that most issues you have with roms can be resolved if you take the time to do that. If that sort of thing doesn't interest you then you'll forever have problems with custom roms and you'll never gain the knowledge and experience needed to make them work for you.
I recommend you try some different roms until you find one you like. Every rom has bugs, even the ones that claim to be stable. It's the price we pay for using cutting edge software.

Alarm Clock Trouble / Conflict

Hello everybody,
I have a E6653 Z5 running MM Last Build
And SlimX Custom ROM (Excellent Rom Btw)
It's rooted and I have tons of rooted app (Kernel Auditor, Amplify(+Xposed modules) , Greenify +(Xposed modules), ect....
I discovered a problem with my phone recently.
Since last week my Alarm Clock won't ring when it's needed.
I first tought it was a Stock / Custom Rom compatibility problem so I didn't pay attention to this and downloaded an Alarm clock App, but the problem is still here even after 3 test with 3 different Apps !
I would like to know if in your opinion It could be a conflict problem with: Greenify, Kernel Auditor, Xposed or Amplify
And if so how can I solve it ?
Thanks in advance

Best Official Android Version for Z3

Hi everyone,
im getting my Z3 in a few days. I was using xperia s for more than 4 years. It still had great support thanks to mickybart that phone is on naosp 7.1.1 nougat.
Now with the z3 i would like to know which official rom is the best to use. i think i dont want to go custom rom this time and stay with official. for a year or until im bored with official.
what i already read in this forum is:
* Android 5.1.1 firmware .264 - exploits beware, 2 years old already!!!
* Android 6.0.1 firmware .291 - battery gone bye bye (no more Stamina since Google forced their Doze)
* Android 7.0 DP4 (this one) - better battery (Doze improved) but reboots at random (fixed in DP5 but that was not released for Z3)
* Android 6.0.1 Concept firmware .3657 - better battery (still not as good as 5.1.1), no root on LockedBootloader, newest software for Z3 (kernel compiled Oct 2016!!!)

Since you seem to want root I would personally go for a Stock .291 based custom ROM. For example I was able to include Stamina Mode from XZ in my latest version of Fragment ROM with help from RXS and Team Duality so you could get your desired features this way.
Lots available here from talented devs and since MM was released a while ago they are all stable in features.
Alternatively if you want stock stock then definitely use the latest anyway. .291. Battery isn't awful and its definitely the most defined MM version.
Idk why people like using older android versions. Battery shouldn't matter when you'll have at the least 24 hrs usage and get tonnes more features.
If you get adventurous I highly recommend unlocking the BL and flashing a custom N ROM as they are very stable now for Z3. The only difference I noticed was my MM ROM was much more "zippy" in the UI than the N ROMs but I'm not sure what the cause is. It doesn't affect usage though in any way.
Ok thanks. I will start with the latest .291 and if im bored or unhappy with it i will check your Fragment Rom.
I would say .291 for stock, despite being full of bloat that isn't even used anymore and older apks that were deprecated with good patience you can make a really good clean of the OS and get the phone bootin' in less than 40secs. But from my personal opinion I would unlock the bootloader and move on to (my builds of) LineageOS. It's pretty much a lightweight OS with sony apps support and full device support (only hw encryption is missing, but you can still encrypt your device using sw).

That's my quote in the OP, I've said that since in my use case SoT (screen-on-time) when from >6h on LL .264 to <4h on MM .291.
Yes, it will be different in your case, but the battery hit is still too high.
Get ForceDoze (or Greenify) if you don't have root, also get Xposed+PowerNap (Stamina-inspired module) if you have root, and it will be improved, not as good as LL but anyway.

You don't use device encryption, right? That's another story... a longer to boot one.
thanks Licaon_Kter and xkeita. i appreciate your posts and will definetly check these things out...sooner or later.
getting the phone tomorrow.
