I am using exodus ROM on my lg g3 d855. In the latest nightlies I am having brightness issues. The brightness becomes low and even I adjust the slider it does not increase. And I am having the worst battery life. The battery graphs drops suddenly. I am told to clean flash it. I did the cleanest flash ever but neither the battery issue nor the brightness issue is been solved. Please help me!!
same problem. LG G3
im sure its a bug in the rom. if you dont see a fix in the roms thread, you will have to wait for the devs to fix it in an update.

Hi there~
I've flashed several ICS ROM till now and faced diverse problems, such as battery life short, hang on splash screen and camera crash etc.. I just wonder do any others suffer the same problem on every ROMs? Maybe we can do some prevention before official ROM released.

I think some of it could be user error. Battery life for myself is amazing. I've had my phone running for 12 hours and currently at 40%. Great compared to GB. Hang on splash screen is likely due to flashing errors, etc. Camera crash... probably ICS or user error and I say user error because I myself haven't had any, stuck with stock too
Correct me if I'm wrong.. but the official rom is being rolled out already is it not? Just taking time to reach everyone
Using ARHD 6.5.0.
Again the battery life is amazing! Went 12 hours yesterday down to 61% with light/moderate use.
Also my current stats are showing 91% remaining 13h 7m 58s on battery (switch aeroplane mode on over night).
No other freezes or crashes (not experienced one FC).

Biggest issue for me is that my screen is not as responsive as with GB roms. It's driving me crazy sometimes when I need to tap some icon few times. Tried several ics roms and they all have that issue. Never happens on GB rooms.

Recently installed CM11 in my Moto G XT1032 and noticed an insane battery consumption during usage, like 1% down every 5 to 8 minutes, the battery status says its the screen that is consuming the most but I have already set it to minimum. During sleep it's pretty fine, just like in stock firmware.
I updated CM to the latest nightly build 20140330 but the consumption still pretty high.
Here are some fixes I tried without success:
- Turn off location
- Disable WiFi always scan
- Change CPU to interactive mode
- Brightness set to minimum
I'm coming from stock firmware and I installed CM using their wiki guide.
Anybody got a solution or a suggestion?
Thanks
Quite the opposite for me. Screen being the highest is normal. I've had my phone on for 1d 2h 20m and 3 hours and 5 minutes of screen on time and i still have 46% battery.
Maybe, it could be a buggy app you have that's taking up your resources.
Also, try turning of KSM in the performance settings in CM. It apparently takes up some battery life as it uses some CPU power. I have it on on my device though.
Try the stuff i told you and post results~
By the way, i'm using Savoca's Furnace Kernel. Try that to see if it helps your battery.

Could be your radio. Depending on your device coming for Asia, India, US. I am in Europa and had to flash
the Asia radio for everything to function correctly. Don't know if that is the case with yours.
But if an clean flash doesn't work, then I would consider it. No hassle.

I flashed the last stable version and still got the same drain issue, I decided that I would go back to stock and wait for the next stable version since a lot of people with different phones are having the same issue and according to my research many still didn't find any solution besides downgrading to CM 10.2.
I don't know if I can report this as a bug since it's looks like a kernel issue or some background/system process forcing the CPU. I hope the developers already know about this because still a recent, and decent, ROM and a lot of people are facing this problem.
I just flashed the ROM yesterday and everything's working fine except that I noticed that even if the screen's turned off, when I get a new notification (and even when I don't sometimes) the buttons' LED flashes and it stays like that unless I turn the screen on. Anyone else having this problem? I also noticed that the battery is draining pretty fast, can someone tell me their performance settings for lower battery consumption? Other than that, ROM's pretty stable, has a slight lag but oh well.
P.S I'm sorry if this has been asked somewhere else, I looked and couldn't find anything. If it has been, just tell me and I'll delete this.

I am on the 2nd last release as of now and havnt faced much battery drain issue..with 2G or wifi i get around 10-12 hrs of backup which I think is decent enough. For the LED issue also I dint face anything like dat..only for notification it'll glow. I think u shud do a clean flash and then see the difference. :fingers-crossed:
Hi, I use that one, too.
I suspect as well, that what you describe is not a bug, but a feature - for me, the LEDs glow when there's a notification. In terms of battery consupmtion, it's much better than stock GB ROM: I had more than 24h battery lifetime for the first time on this phone.
I recommend using the 14.3.29 version, though. some users have reported battery drain with 14.3.30

Really? I had a terrible experience with it. I loved the way it looked but battery drained extremely fast and after a few days I started getting the "android.process.acore has stopped" and then all of my apps force closed one by one. Now back to stock GB, battery lasts much longer although I miss the KitKat feel. Haha. I'm looking for a stable ROM for daily usage now, until then I'll stick with stock ROM.

Hello all. I have been using rooted but stock KitKat for quite awhile now because everyone has always said it's the most stable ROM to use. Lately, however, my OPO's screen has been dimming but not completely turning off (it just sits in a dimmed state) and draining the battery. Also, it has been randomly rebooting, and WiFI says it's on but never seems to connect unless I completely turn off my mobile data (e.g. LTE). Looking at GSAM for the battery problem, it seems that the "android system" is the culprit. I have looked also used Logcat Extreme, but admittedly, don't know enough to recognize a major issue.
I know that Marshmallow still has kinks in it and Lollipop has been somewhat abandoned (in favor of Marshmallow), but are most of the major issues worked out? There's no point in my opinion of changing Android versions if I'm only swapping major issues for other major issues. However, I also fear that as Android moves forward, then apps will need to adjust and render some of the apps less compatible with KitKat.
I would like to have a fairly stable and battery friendly ROM, that has very minor, if any, issues. Does Lollipop or Marshmallow fall into that category? Should I upgrade to Lollipop or Marshmallow (or any related ROMs)?
Thanks for any and all thoughts and info.
Short answer: find a different KitKat rom. Slimkat for example.
Long answer: mobile radio active bug plagues all roms from lollipop and upwards so your battery life will suffer if you use mobile data a lot. There is no fix for this bug and Google ignores its presence.
What wrong with your kitkat ROM? Maybe clean flashed again. I always come back to cos11s 44s every now and then. Battery is awesome, my phone's battery is 1.5 year old and still got 5.5-6.0 sot.
Thanks again for the help and advice.
Is there a recommendation for Kitkat ROM? I'm looking for stability and battery life that surpass stock. Extra features are a bonus, but stock works well enough. It might be easier to just reset the ROM of there's no real major benefits from changing ROM. Thanks
I stayed on Slimkat for the longest time due to the MRA bug. I used this kitkat ROM more than any other. It is the leanest and fastest with the best battery I found. However, the SlimSaber 5.1.1 build has worked just as well for me. I usually get 7 hours screentime (sometimes more - as much as ten - sometimes less - as little as 5.) So it's comparable to Slimkat. No problems except sometimes the screen won't display while talking on the phone without a power button push, perhaps since I keep off ambient display. And it's a little bit snappier and just as stable with almost the same high level of customizations.
Calkulin's 3.7 is perfect... OEM rooted, smooth, quick, battery optimized and no issues. Run it on my 3 OPOs.
Yes, I'd upgrade.
Thanks for the suggestions
i would say yes upgrade. i want to downgrade back kitkat due to bad battery life but will miss may stuff like the new dialer and cant find a stable image to reflash back to kitkat. i used a onepluse one flash kit to reflash but dont use it as i cant find a proper image for it
my phone battery is draining at idle . like i left my phone at 49 percent at night when i woke up cheak it was 29% i thot that is an battery issue so yesterday i replace my old battery with new one bt results are same please jelp me out or tell me which rom should i use to fix this

besides stock EUI rom, AOKP MM has the best battery life and stability. only downside is bluetooth audio does not work. im testing out MIUI 8 but battery does not seem that good.

My Le1S displays the same erratic battery behaviour...It all started after the 19s update...Don't know whether it was a coincidence and if I have a software or hardware issue...Battery charged to 100% - would then drop to 40% within a few hours - then jump to 20% in another 1 hour - and then would start discharging at the rate of 1% every second and finally shut down...I tried every battery calibration method mentioned on this forum; did a factory reset numerous times; nothing helped...
For long, I've been thinking of downgrading to EUI 14s using one of the links in the Leeco forum...Am even thinking of flashing the 23s chinese version another link...
This was a beautiful when I had bought it...Not sure why things took such a downturn that now it has become a nightmare...I literally have to keep it connected to a charger most of the time...Pls let me know if you find a solution for this issue and if a battery change helps you...If nothing works, I am planning to move to the Redmi Note 4 soon...
The issues come from the source used i believe. Every nougat rom has battery drain. Every non-EUI based marshmallow rom has bt audio issue. Don't know issues with lollipop ones. EUI roms i have used all have this notifications issue, sometimes phone wont receive any even if every battery saving feature is disabled.
Best marshmallow roms for those who don't care about Bluetooth audio, AOKP and AICP. I would gladly go back to EUI, even miui or flyme, without those notifications and Bluetooth issues.
Use the CM 13 ROM (either LOS 13 from the xda forum or the cm 13 by bule from bbs.ydss.cn) which gives the best standby time even with all apps running in the night the battery drain is about 1 to 3% all night. I use the eui 26s rom which battery backup is also good I have no issue like you mentioned.
