Hello,
Until 3 days ago i have been using whatsapp as my main IM app on a nexus 5x. I have switched to telegram and kept whatsapp also, and i have a problem related to direct share of links to contacts.
I cannot remove whatsapp as my main direct share app, so whenever i share something, whatsapp contacts appear first, although i am using telegram more frequently, and i want telegram contacts to appear first. I thought it will override somehow whatsapp contacts, but that does not happen. The only solution is to uninstall whatsapp, but i dont wanna do this.
So, any idea?
Thanks!

Messenger app is fast way for messaging with your Facebook account. It is only messenger, without chat, new feed... In every moment you have access to your inbox with new messages. Reply on received messages, and in every moment send new message.
Some functions are limited in Lite version.

Looks nice! But one feature I would be looking forward to is facebook chat support and msn support and google chat support much like the imo.im app on the market.
Doesn't have landscape support!!
For some reason, the market is telling me that it's not compatible with my Samsung Galaxy S.

Same here :-(
here it is !
i just though id post it since i had the time
http://www.mediafire.com/?z65td63i0lqaw7v
if it can show all facebook friends list , it will be perfect
can NOT be downloaded to milestone!
According to this app I have no friends period. The list is empty?
It says "Please wait while loading". The list is then empty.
For me it refuses to open the thread of the person I mail most :/ fc when I try to open thread. I believ this is because there are too many messages. I recommend added a thread bufferr of a fixed amount of messages to solve this, for example show only the past 10mails in each thread.
I own a group in WhatsApp, and I want to change ownership to someone else. Can this be done, and how?
If that's important I'm on Android 4.1

Sorry for replying to an year old post, but I was looking for this solution and I found it. So though to post, so that anybody else can use it.
If you are the owner of the group and delete it, another group member is randomly designated as the new owner of the group. Now the new owner can add you again as a group member. You cannot select a particular person to be owner of the group. This is done randomly.
There is a workaround possible for this as well. If your group is small, go to group info and delete every member from group (remember who you are kicking out) and leave only two members, yourself and the one going to be the new admin. Now, in the group info, click on "delete and exit the group". Don't worry, this will not delete the group (Don't know, why they have named it like that), because you are only leaving the group. Now the admin will shift randomly to any member (the only one remaining in the group :highfive: ). That's it. Ask the new admin to add everybody back in group including you.
If you are desperate enough you can even try it for a bigger group (anyways there is a max limit for group members, 30).
With your solution everyone is losing chat history except for new admin right?
You might as well the him to start a new group and add everyone.
What I did eventually was*:
Backup with Titanium.
Exit group.
Tell the randomly assigned admin to add me back.
Restore with Titanium.
For a while it seemed like I was admin too. I wonder if it is (was) another security bug in WhatsApp.
* ofcourse this doesn't solve the problem of being unable to choose a new admin.
We've switched to Hangouts, it's better.
What is the limit for Hangouts (chat only) without video.
Thanks.

Hi there,
This is Viber's official rep.
I'm here to help.
Have you uninstalled/deactivated Viber lately?
Yes and I had an official reply it auto deletes the messages after a long conversation or after 14 days..

Unfortunately, Viber's chat history is automatically deleted when reinstalling/deactivating Viber. This is why we recommend our users to use Viber's backup option and export their chat history onto email, in order to have a backup of it frequently.
We apologize for any inconvenience that might have been caused.

Hi Viber,
I'm having a similar issue, me and my girlfriend can only view about 6 pages of old messages (I cannot scroll down more than 6 pages) though we have more messages than those 6 pages. My girlfriend reinstalled Viber once but as I remember, it was far before than the date showing on the oldest message (on the page 6th). Is this a limitation of Viber of maybe we have problems with our phones? Or wrong setting I dont know? We are both using Viber v2.3.2 on Sony Xperia S, android 4.0.4. Please help
Or is there anyway to auto backup our messages?
Thank you for your support.

Whatsapp is a very good messaging service. It can be very useful for sending images, videos, contacts and group messaging, etc. As with every app, whatsapp could also go for some improvements. But one of the most important, I feel, is a desktop client paired with multi-device sync. Hangouts, by Google, and Facebook Messenger, by Facebook already provide these services to their users. What multi-device sync means is you will get all your messages to all the devices and desktop you are signed in to with your same whatsapp number.
Why-
Whenever a user gets a notification of a message on whatsapp he has to turn to his mobile device to look read the message. That can be painful if you are sitting on your desktop/laptop and your mobile is away. This might seem like a small thing but it always diverts you from your desktop. It is more difficult to manage for the people with more than one phone. They are limited to having whatsapp with one number to one phone. So, if anything happens to the phone with whatsapp all their messages are gone.
How-
One of the best ways to do it is, is to integrate with facebook. Not with facebook messenger but with every user's facebook id. Whatsapp can offer every user a choice, if they want to have whatsapp on desktop and other phone with the same number, they can sign in with their facebook id and then that facebook id can be linked to their number. Now once you sign in to any other whatsapp with your facebook id, it finds out the number linked with the id and verifies it and then all your contacts and messages will appear on the client. But this shouldn't mean that all the people with their facebook id or their facebook id linked with whatsapp should directly come to your whatsapp favorites. Whatsapp should still depend on phone contacts for favorites. Facebook id should only be used for the sync.
There are other ways to achieve this too. One of them is integrating with facebook messenger but I don't think that will go well with everyone. From the time whatsapp is owned by facebook we have been expecting some changes. And this could be a great one for both whatsapp and facebook.
What are your thoughts on this?
Try this
First of all download oracle VM virtual box and then download this android 4.4 iso image Here
Then follow this guide to setup Android 4.4 on your pc Here
Then download whatsapp on your android 4.4 tablet from play store or anywhere register and done..
An alternative is bluestacks but it gives me errors sometimes and it's sdk is also old

Hit thanks if i helped...
then it only works on 1 desktop. all other connected device are disconnected

I have used all of these extensively. When choosing between telegram, viber and WhatsApp:
All of these have desktop versions, which is very neat. You can type from your desktop/laptop and it gets cloned to the phone/tablet.
However, here are the nuances. WhatsApp must have an active connection from the primary device (phone) for the desktop to connect to server.
Viber does not need an active phone connection. Neither does Telegram.
WhatsApp can make video calls. So can viber. But not telegram.
The other disadvantage WhatsApp has, you can only install it on only one additional device, not multiple desktops/tablets. If you install it on a second device, it will deregister on the first. So you get one phone and one computer.
Telegram and viber get multiple devices. However, viber has one advantage over telegram, you can make video phone calls from the desktop version, unlike telegram that can only make voice calls.
One really neat feature of telegram that no other messenger has is that you can give your contact info to someone without giving your phone number. You create a nick and share that. Very convenient. No phone numbers involved.
Signal is great in US but not used very much outside of US. It's a direct replacement for the text messenger.
WhatsApp is the most popular world-wide, with viber being a close second and telegram is not as popular as either.
My favorite is either viber or telegram. However due to the huge numbers using WhatsApp, it's pretty much unavoidable.
I think security wise, telegram is the safest with viber being the second and WhatsApp a distant third, or so.
