I have 2 Anker batteries and i always carry one in my car and one in my pocket. This case would be nice but i wouldn't pay 50 bucks. Maybe to some of you it may be worth it.

I guess thats where the USB connector is. Its a shame that look is completely ruined because the sensation has its USB on the side instead of the bottom!

But, how about the battery time increased? Worth the price?

we sell this battery at my store.
It hardly holds onto the phone. Would slip off very easily and yes the hump on the side is where the cable and plug are for the phone.

Looks terrible. I'd much prefer to carry a spare a swap when dead (or just stick with tactical charging )

It is ugly... very ugly and for the amount of space it takes, they could have fit twice the juice... that part I don't get. But it's better than carrying multiple batteries around. I do like the fact that it slips on and off quite easily.

I wonder how much a chichitec battery would last you. Many people are reporting moderate to heavy use and the battery lasting all day.
I tried the case out at the store and I just couldn't see myself getting along with it.
How do you tote your phone? Does the case + phone fit in your pocket?

I always use the stock rom and kernel as my baseline for battery life since the custom roms and kernels are all over the place right now. In stock state if I take my phone off the charger at 8am, with moderate to heavy use the powerskin is dead around 4pm at which I'm running on the internal battery which with the same usage lasts til midnight. So, the powerskin literally doubles my battery life from 8 to 16 hours.
And yes it fits in my back pocket fine. But i don't do the skinny jean thing either.

It is bulky.
The silicone case pops off way too easy.
The wire comes out if that corner of the silicone case pops off.
YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT OFF TO PLUG INTO A COMPUTER AS A DISK DRIVE...
and it's ugly as ****. Not worth the battery increase IMO. Just get an external (prefer solar) battery charger.

How bulky is the zerlomeon case, and how long does it take to charge to 100% from dead?

Honestly it's not as bulky as I anticipated. The video tutorials call it a brick but u feel their is a slight chunk added to the original weight of the phone. Now if you compare that with the benefit you are getting I believe it's a small price to pay for. I have done a single charge till now of around 10+ hours which I was supposed to do it till 12. But the current status of my phone battery right now is that I have used it for 24 hours and it has just dropped till 64%. It's going pretty smooth I believe. Give it a shot.

It's pretty damn big and heavy, but I can use it fine on a daily basis. I recently took it off and put back the regular battery and back. Wow, it's so light and thin.
The battery thickness is actually about as thick as the phone if not a little thicker. So you'd be walking around with 2 Notes in your pocket size-wise.
The battery is hard to gauge though. I'd suggest getting GSAM or something that can monitor your battery voltage. It screws with the phone. I think my fast charger once said it was done but i checked the voltage and it wasn't done yet, so I plugged it back in another charger just to be safe.
I once compared my Z3C and Note 4 with the zerolemon in GSAM and they had the same voltage but I think the Z3C said 73% and the Note said 50 something. I don't remember, but I do remember I felt something was wrong with what I saw
I almost forgot about the buttons. They are so sensitive. I've accidentally locked the phone when viewing landscape so many times.

Note 4 inside the case, you can see the tabs to push the volume buttons actually sit higher than the phone.

[REVIEW] Mugen Power 3700mAh Extended Battery Case for the M9

I received one of these from the manufacturer in exchange for a fair review.
I'm a battery junkie because I like to be prepared. I absolutely hate running out of power. As a result, I have a lot of external batteries ranging from a small one that does double-duty as a compact case that I got for my wife to a huge water- and weather-proof one I take camping and boating. The electrons they supply to your phone are all the same; what sets batteries apart are the workmanship and design. I care about design and workmanship, which is why I've owned HTC phones for years.
The Mugen Power 3700mAh Extended Battery Case is is on the small side for external batteries, but that's IMO what you want for a battery case, which can't be so bulky that it interferes with using your phone. You use battery cases either to give yourself extended day-to-day battery life because you're a power user, or for quick top-ups. For larger power needs away from an outlet, you go with a big external battery.
The exterior has a matte finish that feels good in the hand, though it does pick up fingerprints (as you can see in a couple of shots below). The design is sleek and pleasing to the eye. Even my wife, who doesn't care about phones, remarked that it was attractive.

Operation is very simple—you just slide it in and press the power button on the back for a few seconds. There is an LED display on the back, next to the button, that shows the remaining charge.
Fit and finish are excellent. It holds the phone snugly without being too tight.
As with any battery case, it does noticeably add to the bulk of the phone, though not much more than a large wallet case might. It was lighter than I expected.
Charging is via a microUSB port at the base. It charges whether or not the phone is inside, but will it charge the phone first if it's plugged in.
So, it looks good and feels good. How does it work?
It seems to charge at typical 2.1A rates, which means pretty quickly.
Using it, I got a bit more than an extra day out of a full charge on my phone, which is consistent with the stated capacity of the battery given my usual usage. I put it on around 3 p.m. with a nearly full charge, and it was starting to run down the following evening, when my phone was still holding around a 95% charge. Recharging it to full took about 3 hours on a standard power block (I did not run it down to completely empty, which is never a good idea with a li-ion battery).
I did notice some quirks that are probably attributable to HTC's power management. Several times, I noticed that it stopped charging when the phone went to sleep, then would start charging again when it woke up. A couple of times, the phone seemed to get confused by the change, and I had to briefly remove it from the case to restart consistent charging. It also stopped charging twice when it got overheated. Given the charging gremlins this phone has had in the past, I am sure this is an HTC issue rather than a MugenPower issue. In any case, it wasn't a big deal.
My sole concern is that, as you can see in the photos above, front protection is limited. The lip of the case extends only a very short distance above the screen. If you have a tempered glass screen protector (I don't), it's possible it might stick out above it or at least be nearly flush with the case. But beyond that, I found nothing to stop me from recommending this if you're looking for a good battery case.
Update: After using this for a week and a half, I really like it. I've gotten used to the bulk, though I don't use it all the time. The phone does seem to get confused by the charging, though. It will charge fine to 100%, but if you keep using it, it shifts to a continual trickle charge that never quite gets to 100% unless you take the case off for a few seconds and put it back. This is HTC's problem, though, as I've seen people with the same issue on wall chargers.

Looks like they're asking $90 for it now, which is excessive IMO. I just got a 13,400mAh QC2.0 external battery (not battery case) for $40. This is a good battery case and I've had no issues with it, but no battery case is worth $90.

From what I see.. Sorry, but it's plain ugly. And the money and the size of it, i don't see the capacity of the battery justifyied. But your review is well written Thanks

ZeroLemon 5000mah Battery Case Review

Full disclosure, I was given this unit to review and give my unbiased opinion of the product. **Lots of pictures incoming**
Okay, lets start. I've used several ZeroLemon battery packs on different phones and this arrived packaged like all of them. The usual instruction cards in a plain white box. I wasn't sure what to expect when I opened the box, but I was glad to see this wasn't some crazy three part case that needed to be put together like the old one I had for an LG phone. If you've ever used a Mophie, you will be familiar with the way this case looks and feels.

I plugged the case in and charged it up, it took about an hour to fully charge and I grabbed my phone and slapped it in the case. This is a one piece case, the top is quite flexible so you start at the bottom with the USB connector and then pull the top up a little and slip the phone in. The phone went in easily enough and you reverse the process to remove it. Pull the top up and push the phone out from the bottom. The case obviously adds some bulk, I mean, it's a 5000mah battery. It has a very nice matte finish so no finger prints is a plus. You'll notice that my edge to edge screen protector which I've not gotten around to getting rid of yet isn't playing very nice with this (or any case).
There is a deep well in the back but it wasn't difficult to reach the finger print scanner and it works fine. I did notice using gestures to pull the notification tab down was normal, raising it was a bit tricky due to the bulk of the case, but after figuring it out, it works fine. There is a small learning curve. The case does have a slight lip at the top and bottom to protect the screen when face down and the sides of the case are higher than the Samsung Rugged Case but do not interfere with the edge at all. I'm not a huge fan of the buttons to be honest. They are pretty flat, they work well enough, but they aren't exactly easy to find. The cutouts are all perfect and it's not terribly difficult getting the S-Pen out. I did not need an adapter to use my 3.5mm headphones.
Battery performance. So I charged the case fully and went to work with my phone at about 40% battery. I turned the case on at 5:40pm and let it do it's thing. Its not a fast charging battery, obviously, but after about 75 minutes I was at 80% charge (Where I pull my phone off the charger). I still had two bars lit up on the back of the case and the third was flashing when I powered it off. (Hold the button down for 3 seconds to turn the case on and off). I need to do more testing, but I'm sure I could charge my phone to full and have a little left over to top off without issue.
Final thoughts. Battery cases are the sort of thing that I usually have for situations when I am traveling or I am going to be out in the field for 12 hours or more. This won't replace my Samsung Rugged Case as my daily driver, but it's certainly going to be useful when I am flying or working long hours so it will always be charged and in my backpack. I'd recommend this case if you like the Mophie, especially, because its about 65 dollars cheaper and does exactly the same thing. Great job on this one ZeroLemon, maybe make the buttons stick out a bit more if you ever do a revision!

ZeroLemon 5000mAh Battery Case for Note 9 review

With a 4000mah battery, the Galaxy Note 9 has proven to be in the top echelon of endurance among Android phones, however for road warriors, marathon gamers, or folks stranded in the Mojave desert even more battery power may be required. That’s what the ZeroLemon 5000mah battery case promises. Is trading your phone’s svelte good looks for marathon battery life a winning proposition? Read on.
Design and build quality:
You’re not getting anything fancy here. The case is solid black in color with the company’s branding on the rear. The back of the case is constructed of hard plastic with a soft touch coating, while the top and sides surrounding the phone is made of a soft, TPU material. As far as thickness goes, yes, your phone will inch closer to brick-like status while the case is attached, but the tapering at the top and sides of the case help slim it out a bit. Also appreciated is the absence of wobble when the phone is laid flat.
The case is built solidly enough, however the soft touch material seems to scuff easily. I dropped the phone once during the review period from approximately knee-height, and I noticed several dings in the rear corners. I would have also preferred the TPU lip to extend a bit more over the front of the phone, as the very slight lip may not provide much protection if your phone happens to drop screen-first.
Features:
The phone slips easily enough onto the USB-C connector and securely into the case. Be aware, you will not be able to transfer data via USB nor use NFC while the case is attached. While being unable to use NFC is understandable due to the thickness of the case, it’s a bit disappointing that data transfer is blocked.
Battery life:
I started my test by fully charging both the phone and the case, then drained the phone’s battery down to around 5% (see attached pic), which lasted for an impressive 1 day and 3 hours, by the way. I then activated the ZeroLemon battery, which is accomplished by holding down the button on the rear for 3 seconds. 4 LED lights on the back indicate activation and current battery level. Unfortunately, even with the promise of a 5000 mAh battery, I was not able to completely charge the phone, with the ZeroLemon battery tapping out around 85%.

Conclusion:
For $30, the ZeroLemon 5000 mAh battery case is a decent buy for those who need even more juice out of the already outstanding Note 9 battery. Yes, there are a few shortcomings, mainly the lack of data transfer and the smaller than expected battery capacity, but if you need to squeeze even more out of your battery, this case may be worth a look.

I really like this case. It is twice the size of the note so its not pocket friendly but perfect for my backpack when I'm at work. I'm in meetings all day and the C Level peeps get annoyed when you're phone is plugged in to your computer. So this is great for it.
