Two ways: the first say is she should've had a backup pin setup initially... I don't know how it let her continue setup after setting up fingerprint security.
The second would be too download the firmware preferable from XDA in any forum.. Run Odin and flash the firmware and start over...all data will be lost that includes fingerprints.

Hi!
and Thank you!
No backup pin... but Password. and this - if it is the correct one she uses - doesn´t work.
(Internet is full of ths "Features", that Password don´t work)
i downloades Firmware from sammobile, and flashed it with Odin.
no changes. it still wants the Password - which don´t work.
BUT we have typed very often the Password 70times. so at the Moment there is no Fingerprint scanner.
don´t know how Long to wait till it will work again.
no data is lost.
next week, when we can use her Laptop again, we will reset the phone.
or there is an other way?

Have you tried booting into stock recovery and doing the factory reset that way?

no, not now.
Next week, when we have Access to her Laptop to restore all data.

You found a G1?
I bet its mine... just kidding.
Look it up dude!!
Poor guy who lost the phone though.
The home key is pretty vital though since you need to confirm with the home button.
This should be in Q&A, you'll likely get a better response.
Factory reset really just involves reformatting the data and cache. Without having root access already, and an Engineering SPL installed, you might have a tough time. My initial thought is that a gold card would work, but I think you do that from the recovery partition. I don't think that you can reboot to that partition from fastboot. Hmmm, not sure. I'd check with Q&A.
You should check to see if the last owner had the phone rooted (you'll be surprised)
If thats the case then just flash a new rom through the computer (Droid Explorer)
Turn the phone on and plug it into the computer with DroidExplorer open and see if it picks up anything.
I'm pretty sure thats all you need then you could download a cyanogen or what ever rom of your choosing and flash it.
found ?

how about emailing the owner and returning his/her property ?
you should see the email address of the owner after 4-5 failed unlock patterns iiirc.
Try:
Code:
adb shell reboot recovery

forgot my pin code

apparantly i locked my TB with a pin code and woke up this morning and now i cant get into it at all. after 60 tries i thought it would ask me to enter my google account email and pw which i have but it hasnt. anyway to get past this??
Well that really sucks forgetting your pin code, but if it were easily worked around, it wouldn't be much of a security system, so it's not easy.
This Google help forum thread might help you out: http://www.google.com.tw/support/forum/p/android/thread?tid=1889ba0fa1e29183&hl=en
If you're rooted, with adb access you might be able to clear something in the system to reset it, but I'm not sure where to start with that if it's even an option.
Factory reset will certainly get you back into the phone, and shouldn't wipe your sdcard data, but I'd pull it out before resetting just to be safe.
thanks i appreciate it. i just cant believe after 75 tries it doesnt tell you to enter your gmail account info to get into the phone. i thought all androids did that

yeah. both my OG Droid and Fascinate made me type my Google credentials after a certain number of failed tries. Call VZW and see if there is a workaround. Keep us posted!
If you are rooted and using ClockWorkMod, u could restore a backup, that uses no pin or an old pin.
If you do have CWM and a earlier backup, I would perform a backup and then restore the earlier backup.
if you can do that and get into the OS again, you might be able to Run Advanced Restore in CWM and just restore the Data Partition from the backup of the pin locked one. (this is just a guess, Im not sure where the pin is saved but this may be the best way to not loose data)

How to Backup Data, debugging not enabled, no custom recovery installed. One plus one.

Hello,
I have Oneplus One 64 gb variant, yesterday my nephew somehow changed my phone's lock pattern and now my phone is locked. USB debugging was disabled at that time. I am not able to get into my phone through any means. I have lot of important data in my phone and don't want to hard reset my device. Also I don't have any custom recovery installed on my phone. I don't know how to get a backup of my data. Any help will be appreciated. Please help me get my precious data back.
Thanks in advance.

If you still have internet access on the device, you can try entering the pattern over and over incorrectly until the "forgot password" button appears. You'll then be able to sign in to your gmail account and reset the password without losing any data.

In Cm13s this "forgot pattern" option has been disabled for god knows what reasons. I have attempted to unlock 85 times and still counting but still no option has presented itself.

Oh.
Some custom recoveries give you the option to backup your data to the SD card. You could check if that's available in yours.
I'm not sure if its gonna backup everything (similar to a nandroid backup) or just your apps+their data.
If its the latter then you can backup->wipe device->restore. If its the former though, then there's not much point as the password would've gotten backed up as well.

[Help] TWRP Factory Data Reset

I'm on a TA-1020 and when factory reseting I accidentally did the wrong one. I reset all the data and now my phone wont boot. Pretty sure I deleted all my system files. Any help would be appreciated. Options I can see so far are flashing a stock rom however I am unable to find one. Otherwise I would appresiate any help hiding proof of root so I can take it in for warranty. The obvious signs of rooting are the 'orange state' and booting into TWRP. Thanks

there is a patch to bypass login.
I used the patch with NE1-215H-0-00WW-B02. It said it worked correctly on my computer but when I try to start my phone it just vibrates and doesn't show anything on the screen. TWRP doesn't load anymore either. Any help?
nm. What happened was I had it plugged into my computer and it was flashing while I was at school. It did work but for some reason it ran out of battery while it was plugged in. Now its charged its working fine. Thanks for all the help.

Lockscreen: Try again in 1440 minutes.

Hi guys,
I have a big issue with my Samsung Galaxy A21s. I set up a password for the lock screen a couple of days ago. Everything was working fine, but yesterday my phone randomly decided to lock itself for 1440 minutes (24 hours) after typing in my correct password once. I waited those 24 hours and tried again and it got locked for another day again. The password is 100% correct.
Or course I tried restarting the phone and booting it in safe mode, without success. I tried unlocking it on my computer via Google find my phone (I don't have a samsung account set up), but it appeared as offline, even though it is connected to wifi. I have to mention that it has airplane mode on which I can't turn off and NordVPN is installed. The phone has very few apps installed, such as Telegram, NordVPN and Instagram, no malicious third party applications...
I don't want to hardware reset the phone because it has very important things on it. Sending it to Samsung isn't possible as well, I don't have a bill for the product.
Please help
Do you have bootloader open ?

thanks, I would like to try this, although my phone is like 6 years newer than the post... how do I flash it without using my phone? Should I use bootloader or something, can you explain?
That IS why I asked you if you could flash a file.
Did you ever unlocked your bootloader ?
If so, you have to put twrp on your phone (there is many tutorial for each phone in the forum), and then flash the file with your sd card.
If your bootloader IS locked, I don t know how install TWRP recovery, but maybe there is a way on the net.
What is your phone model ?
Ah okay thank you... Model is Samsung Galaxy A21s

I dont have bootloader set up and if I understood correctly, setting up bootloader and twrp will erase all data...
Absolutly not, I don t know how to unlock bootloader other than via the parameters, but I doesn t erase any data, same for TWRP.
Find a way to unlock the bootloader, then just install TWRP with Odin, and then you just have to flash the file.
