[Help] TWRP Factory Data Reset - Nokia 3 Questions & Answers

I'm on a TA-1020 and when factory reseting I accidentally did the wrong one. I reset all the data and now my phone wont boot. Pretty sure I deleted all my system files. Any help would be appreciated. Options I can see so far are flashing a stock rom however I am unable to find one. Otherwise I would appresiate any help hiding proof of root so I can take it in for warranty. The obvious signs of rooting are the 'orange state' and booting into TWRP. Thanks

there is a patch to bypass login.

I used the patch with NE1-215H-0-00WW-B02. It said it worked correctly on my computer but when I try to start my phone it just vibrates and doesn't show anything on the screen. TWRP doesn't load anymore either. Any help?

nm. What happened was I had it plugged into my computer and it was flashing while I was at school. It did work but for some reason it ran out of battery while it was plugged in. Now its charged its working fine. Thanks for all the help.

Galaxy S6 Edge [SM-G925F] - Stuck in TWRP Bootloop/Caused by SuperSU

So my S6 Edge (O2UK) is stuck in a recovery bootloop, It can go into download mode.
Things I have tried
Reflashing firmware (Odin fails at hidden.img)
Clearing cache etc in TWRP
The bootloop was caused by SuperSU as it asked me a question about TWRP recovery and something obviously corrupted or is badly configured.
Any help is appreciated!
Have you solved your problem? I've got exactly the same....

In the future, when it prompts to root, don't swipe to allow it.
Now reflash the rom, either stock or custom.
Sent from my SM-G925F
O I fixed it. I just factory reset my phone and it worked. It was my dad's idea..

I also have G925F.
Open Samsung Kies on your computer, plug your phone in. Select tools then firmware upgrade and intilisation. Let it do its thing. I was in same place but not because up super SU but because of the Dm verity.zip i forgot to flash over the top of TWRP.
I tried all sorts going back to stock worked to get it running. And I wont be messing with root on Sammy devices anymore. Too much to go wrong, and most tuts at rooting are not complete. Get a One

Mate 9 keeps restarting itself after latest update MHA-L29 8.0.0.373 (C567)

My phone did its overnight update last night (wasn't charging) and it seems to have been doing a restart loop since. When I checked it this morning, the battery was at 7%. It'll successfully boot into my homescreen, but restarts at about a minute in.
I just did a hard reset and it is still the same. Can't even get through all of the setup screen before the phone restarts. Anything I can do at all?
Edit: No root, no bootloader unlock. Stock.
Might have to get into Recovery Mode and do a wipe

Already did that, but it's still restarting itself even going through setup screen. Worst still it's asking me to login to my Google Account, which requires 2FA, which was the phone. Also, it's not reading my SIM at all so the SMS 2FA option isn't viable either...

I think I had something similar to that happen to my phone. I have an unlocked bootloader and I forced update using the HWOTA8 method. What I think happens is the phone could have downloaded a corrupted or impartial update. The phone will need to downgrade to a lower update or try to see if you can downgrade the phone back using firmware but I dont think you can downgrade on a locked bootloader. Whatever you try to do just don't panic and format all your partitions try to backup all your contacts and data if you can. If you can reinstall the .373 update try doing that again and if that will help it from freezing up.

Adding to this, try Download Latest from eRecovery. It should find B373 as it's approved for you.

Well....... that was simple.
My Google skills clearly failed me. I tried the dload method to no avail. At no point did my search returned 'eRecovery'. Even brought the phone in to 2 repair shops and one said they needed days to figure it out, the other said to send it to Huawei.
And now I have a S9+. Time to figure out which to keep. Thanks a lot!

Questions about software updates

Hi! I need help in installing software updates to my S7. It's a second hand phone. The model is SM-G930F, I checked it using the download mode and the Phone INFO app. I don't think the previous owner installed any software updates yet; my problem is when installing through OTA, it completes the download then when the installation process starts, it goes upto 32% then reboots prompting me to download the update again. Every single time it stops at 32%. I already tried factory resetting but the result is still the same.
I thought of doing it through Odin, but there are too many firmwares from different regions but Philippines isn't available. Which one should I get. Please help me
Update: I've downloaded the latest firmware for UK (BTU). In another thread, it was said that I can flash this through Odin without any problems, but would it factory reset my phone? And would I be able to receive OTA updates?
Some help pls? I've read some of the other threads already but they don't specify much and don't answer my question

Presuming you know how to use Odin; within the firmware zip, there'll be two tar files labelled as "CSC". The CSC starting with "CSC" is used only if you want to factory reset the phone. The CSC that starts with "Home_CSC" is used if you want to retain your data, apps etc. If you do decide to use CSC to factory reset the phone, make sure to backup the phone. Just to be on the safe side, you could remove your account from the phone before updating the firmware using odin. At least that way, FRP (factory reset protection) won't trigger if you suddenly need to factory reset the phone from recovery mode.
As for OTA updates, you'll still received them when Samsung release them. If not, then you can always download them.

what kind of a backup? a twrp one? i cant lose data i need to save it. look ive already had this once and someone helped me when this encryption thing was broken and it worked out. please i need to save my data like photos and everything in the internal storage
here i can describe what i did again
hello. here is what i did: i downloaded the official 9.0.7 rom to my phone, went to recovery, wiped everything apart from internal storage. then i installed the rom, after that twrp and then magisk. when i booted into system it worked but i got stuck on the screen that said "checking info". it went on for 3 minutes and then it said "there was an error communicating with google servers please try again later". i tried it 5 times nothing changed and i know this is a common problem that won't fix by itself so i went into recovery and tried to restore a backup that i created, but it didnt boot into system instead it said that my device was corrupt and booted back to recovery. ive had encryption enabled and because of that all the files were unreadable and my blu spark twrp didnt ask for a password. now i cant flash from my phone but when i try to flash the official rom from my flash card then i do twrp and then magisk and i try to boot into system it just sends me back into recovery every time no matter what i try and because of encryption all my files on the phone are unreadable. what to do?
You could try using the adb pull command to pull the contents of the folder or folders with your pictures from the phone to your computer. Then, if you have to do something that wipes your internal storage, at least you'll have the pictures. You can do this with your whole /sdcard or any folders in it if you need to, not just for pictures.
You might not be bricked as badly as you fear. Try this:
Make sure you have the latest version of TWRP, which is, I think, 3.3.1-3. The current blu_spark version might be fine, too, but people were having problems with a recent version of that.
Boot to TWRP.
Install OOS 9.07.
Flash TWRP.
Reboot to recovery.
Flash OOS 9.07 again.
Flash TWRP again.
Reboot to recovery.
Flash Magisk.
Reboot to system.

I think you can't do nothing for save your data, but situation is less serious than i was believing... You can copy with adb pull command but data will stay encrypted... Now you have to
1) FORMAT data, not WIPE but FORMAT
2) reboot to recovery
2a) now you can use MTP from recovery and copy whatever you want from your PC to device
3) flash oos 9.0.7 then TWRP, reboot recovery
4) again same thing, flash oos 9.0.7 then TWRP, reboot recovery
5) to avoid this problem again now i suggest you to flash latest magisk and then oos_noverity for disable force encryption (link to 3d down below)
6) reboot system
6a) if everything is going on right side, your phone will reboot twice before startup android
7) Check your google photo backup, if you had left it default, you can have your photos back
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/tutorial-decrypt-flash-rom-pie-oreo-roms-t3838643
With phone decrypted you'll never go through this problem again and you can downgrade security patch too without lose nothing

Why don't you just boot to the other partition (A/B partitioning is directly benefiting situations like this)?
Why are you wiping system when you are upgrading, just dirty flash? Which 9.0.7 zip did you download, incremental or full?

A) read my previous post....
B) "guys i did something through adb i launched it and now the system and there and everything is gone"................. yeah, going to go with a hard no on that.
B1) what did you do in adb
C) FBI here, "KÄDET YLÖS, HOUSUT ALAS!" - translates roughly to "hands up, pants down" - want to buy my book? https://kauppa.intokustannus.fi/kirja/kadet_ylos_housut_alas/
Once again, did you try booting to your other partition (A/B)? Or have you probed your hardware so hardly with software softly that you have 115 gb free out of 116..... sounds like a issue even fbi cannot solve now.....
Should have just paid me for letting you know how to upload pictures before that chain of events.
Then maybe you wouldn't have been shaking and dizzy from using your hands so much (not sure what you were doing... doesn't sound safe, it's not even a week before November), but I would call a doctor.
EDIT: I would sell you FBI/NSA tool from my friends in Estonia... but if you are just going to "i did something in through adb, ..." it, will not be worth your while.
Plus you never paid me for telling you how to upload a picture to a forum, maybe practice that before restoring encrypted data......

i was busy trying to do something as other people recommended. what was it exactly that you were offering? patching from otg had no effect as it still didn't boot me into system but instead back into recovery. and patching from the phone itself was impossible because of enabled encryption it couldn't read anything. yet you had a way to restore things without losing my data?

OnePlus 6 Stuck At "Qualcomm Crashdump" Screen All A Sudden | Data Retrieval Critical

Hi good people at XDA. This is my first post on this website and I am absolutely hoping to receive help from you all to find a way out of the depressing and extremely anxious situation I'm in.
I was using my OP6 normally today and while I was typing something on Telegram the phone suddenly froze and after I re-booted it, it took me to the Qualcomm Crashdump screen.
My OP6 isn't tampered in any way (no bootloader unlocked, no TWRP recovery installed, nothing rooted).
At the moment, I can enter the fastboot mode while pressing volume up and power button.
The crucial thing is the data which I MUST RETRIEVE, can't afford to lose it.
Could y'all please suggest a way where the data can be retrieved or the phone can be revived without data loss?
I did read the forums on MSMDownload Tool but I believe it wipes off the phone, right?
PLEASE HELP!
If ADB ( read: USB Debugging ) got enabled on phone - what is the door to Android OS - then try this to pull out user-data stored on phone
Code:
adb devices
mkdir "C:\RECOVERED_DATA"
adb pull /sdcard C:\RECOVERED_DATA

Thanks @jwoegerbauer for the prompt response. I can surely try that. Considering that I'm fairly a noob, could you please share in a bit detail, the steps I need to take before executing those commands?
Also, since there's a tiny chance that USB Debugging may not have been enabled, what's the alternative that I consider?
Thanks!
Since I must retrieve the data in internal SD, can this help me enter the OS?:
1. Extracting the boot.img of the latest version that's currency installed on my OP6, from payload.bin
2. Testing if this boot.img can revive me into the OS by fastboot boot boot.img.
Also, one pressing doubt: does a fastboot flash boot boot.img command erase internal SD contents??
Please help!

No man. Still looking for some solutions. Read umpteen threads only to see that MSMDownload Tool erases data because it first unlocks bootloader (which mandatorily wipes data), flashes system files and then relocks it.
But I'm pretty sure, there exists some way out to flash a OP 6 with locked bootloader but retaining userdata partition intact.
Hoping to receive some solution here from this community of Android geeks.

Hi. So, I gave my phone to a phone repair specialist. Apparently he changed some IC, which made the phone to boot up to the system. which is what allowed me to take the data backup of the phone.

Bro can i have your number please i m stuck with the same problem since last year but not got the solution to boot up my phone normally its always showing crash dump mode. I tried everything but nothing worked for me.
like many even i too ugraged my op6 to oo11.1.1.1, rooted was running well for a week till i encountred face crash dump mode error
Stupid thing i did was instead of flashing fastboot oos 10.3.8 i tried to flash msm 10.3.8 which didnt solve crash dum and also locked my BL.
now nonof the msm could solve crash dump nor we can unlock BL bz we cant toggle OEM in Dev option,
i discussed with @L0ND0NB0Y regarding this, his suggestion would be to take a backup of oos10.3.8 config partation of a working rom, then use edl to flash it on affected op6, by that way we can unlock bootloader and flash fastboot rom.
we need to fide a working op6 and back config which @L0ND0NB0Y can guide us. if it works he ll creat a post to solve crashbump and BL locked issue.
if this wont work, we may need to wait for msm oos11 file.
update : managed to solve crash dump by flashing msm international 5.1.5 but ended up getting black screen with white notification light, if my op6 had BL unlocked all i had to do is to boot stock/twrp recovery and factory wipe.
