Language Options Question - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note5

I am wondering about what language optioms you can pick to have your phone in. I currently have the Note 4 and was dissapointed with the language options that my phone could be displayed in. Can you put your phone in Japanese and Swedish with the standard settings on the Note 5 on a Verizon phone. I am learning those languages and every phone I have had before like windows and iPhone could already be put in those but the note 4 only has a select few. (Not talking about input and keyboards)

Soon-to-be TP2 owner questions

Hi
I am new here and will soon be getting my Telus HTC TP2 and unlocking it myself via mobileincanada.com i had a couple of questions:
will i have any trouble unlocking?
i am buying it used so do i have to clear the ESN before i can use it? or what should i know about the ESN?
can i install the apps, .cab files found in the other section? or do i have to find CDMA only apps? Do apps work for both GSM and CDMA?
can i reset to factory defaults from settings to eliminate the previous owners info and data? or is there a button key combination?
is there a way to make Opera the default browser on the Internet tab?
is there a way to apply a diferent theme without installing a different ROM (since i've read we cannot do that yet for CDMA)?
is there anything else i should know as a new owner/user?
this is all i can think of for the moment. any and all help is much appreciated
thanks!
1) CDMA TP2's cannot be unlocked as of yet, I know that the community is working diligently on it.
2)You can't "clear" the ESN, it's the electronic serial number unique to each phone, it's kinda strange that you're able to find one used already, what you should check to see is if the phone was reported stolen, so basically you need to call your carrier and check to see if you will be able to activate that phone on their network.
Here's a relate post on another forum (mostly regarding a sprint phone but same idea)
http://cellphoneforums.net/sprint-pcs/t224073-how-clear-sprint-esn.html
3)You can install just about any app you want as long as it's compatible or signed *scratches head* I think there's a tweak cab file on ppc geeks that enables unsigned apps here:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=78019
4)Yes, not sure what the button combo is for sprint but for my verizon tp2 it's
-make sure the phone is OFF
-hold the "volume down" (the button on the side with the "-" on it) AND the send key (green button)
-While holding said buttons, press the power on button (red button) and follow the onscreen prompts.
5)It already is.
6)You can always disable Touch Flo 3D from the Today options or even install SPB Mobile Shell (I think that's what it's called) for a different theme, but if you're just talking about normal windows mobile 6.1 today themes, just disable Touch Flo 3D from the today menu in your options screen (All settings) and install themes you normally would as with any other version of WinMo 6.1
7) Phone works best with a good data plan and just like any other windows mobile device, expect to do a soft-reset every other day. And be ready for people asking you if you got a new type of iphone or that IS an iphone or if your phone has anything to do with the iphone.
thanks for your quick reply however i do know for a fact that TELUS TP2's can be unlocked i just happened to come across one person who had difficulty. that's why i was asking.
actually here this is the people that do the unlocking and they have a video on there. if you pause at the right time you can see the IMEI which is strange to me since i though CDMA phones were supposed to have ESN.
Click here for the site that unlocks the TELUS TP2 and the video where you can see the IMEI and unlocking demonstration. its a youtube video but make sure you have the plugins or use an appropriate browser or something because i couldnt see it on IE but i could with Chrome.
actually looking at the video again there are 4 numbers titled:
IMEI
WEID (first letter a little hard to make out)
S/N (is this the ESN?)
P/N
im attaching a screenshot.
Hi subby! I think what's tripping people up is your use of the word "unlock".
From the article you posted, the summary states: "You can see how to enter the unlock code to unlock GSM on the Telus HTC Touch Pro 2 Worldwide Edition." This is talking about unlocking GSM.---
---When people in this forum talk about 'unlocking', they're referring to the ability to load a different Hard SPL, so that they can install WM 6.5 on the phone. These are two completely different uses of the word "unlock."
I'm not sure which one you meant in your original post, but the TP2 does NOT have a HSPL released for it. So, you're stuck with WM6.1 (until HTC releases WM 6.5 in a few days)
The phone's great, however. I'd def. recommend.

Htc pro language problem

Hi! I buy a HTC touch pro branded in mobile network 3 Italia.I want to change the rom, so I can have English language on htc. I cant do it via USB, because HTC can not establish a connection with ActiveSync. I tried all possible ways described on the Internet, 7 different usb cables,etc..) I read - first make hardspl, and then flash rom... Can I do it from SD card, I mean especially on hardspl ? All I want is the English language in my htc. Thanks!
Anyone? I'll go crazy. I've lost 3 days and nothing.I think I'll break my phone on the wall. I hate active sync

unwanted language change

I am using Android 5.1 on my phone.
I am at present in Japan and use a japanese simcard while here.
Everytime I switch the phone on, the language which had been set to english, has automatically been changed to Japanese.
I thik, I have checked all the settings, but after changing back to english, there seems to be no option to "save" the setting....
This question has been asked many years ago, without receiving an answer, does anyone in the meantime has a solution for this real nuisance?
Thanks
What phone are you using?
VK800X
It is not the phone, it is the simcard that does it, and it is Android 5.1 that allows it.
I am asking how to save and SECURE the settings in Android 5.1.

No english keyboard before entering system. (S7 edge, android nougat firmware update)

Hello,
I just finished updating my S7 edge (SM-G935F) to android Nougat using Odin.3.12.3. The installation went fine up until the point I had to enter my password to gain access to the system(i.e The screen you get before your phone displays the lock animation).Instead of phone displaying the english language, it displays just Greek (I installed the greek firmware of nougat).Although there is an ABC icon on the bottom left corner of the keyboard ,the keyboard remains in greek language even after I press it.I used a wired keyboard and the otg adapter that came with the phone and I was able to type my password and gain access to my phone. Then I added the english keyboard and english language. The keyboard works fine inside the system and Im able to switch between english and greek. But the problem remains when I restart the phone and try to enter the system. Is there a solution to this problem? Can I add the language some way or should I install the nougat firmware from another country (for example the uk one)?
Thank you.

How to enable missing languages on Korean LG V50 in 5 easy steps (Without ROOT) Posted by u/JuanD260

https://www.reddit.com/r/lgv50/comments/rtxei7
It works on the V500N phone, the phone menu does not change to the selected language, in my case Polish, but all applications that support a given language are installed by default in this language.
Very useful
In my case, it worked after the second pasting the command to ADB - and the first time, something did not work, but I pasted the second time, push enter button, and the application changed the language to the selected one without saying that it needs Root
Thank you JuanD260!
I confirm it works. And after update to Android 12 almost all phone menu is translated.
Hello, I checked also on V40. It works.
To make device visible for ADB you have to plug phone by USB and enable charging mode (not file transfer).
