Tutorial -How to unbrick Lenovo Vibe Z K910 with 2 sim cards - Miscellaneous Android Development

This is how i unbricked my Lenovo K910 (chinese version with 2 sim cards)
I was acidentally wipe everything,
by everything i mean on dalvik cashe, system, internal storage, data and cashe.
and after that phone was empty and stuck on lenovo logo and blue light, bootloader was locked, recovery and twrp recovery was erased....
If i hit power power for 10 seconds and more, lenovo k910 turns off...again i hit power and lenovo logo is on screen , and blue light, and i cant acess recovery, because it is erased.
Whole one day I tried everything what i find on lenovo forum, xda devolepers...etc, but nothing didnt work for me.
Basically i did it with instruction from firts 3 pages on this theme, but with modified twrp recovery, every time i try with diferent recovery, mostly i was trying with cwm recovery and 2.7 twrp but i was unable to boot into recovery mode.
This is how i did it,
1.Download this:
minimal adb fastboot v1.3.1 http://www.mediafire.com/download/q77gkew59y1kbwk/minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.3.1_setup.rar
modified twrp recovery 2.8.1 i find it on somewhere on xda..i can't remember where http://www.mediafire.com/download/ul6751ndjc05ujl/recovery.rar
download custom rom that you wont to install, i use a baralajbi rom from needrom v13.
2. Install minimal adb fastboot v1.3.1
3.In directory where you install minimal adb fastboot v1.3.1, copy recovery from step 1 and custom rom that you downloaded from step 1.
4. Remove Usb data cable from phone and turn off your Lenovo K910 by pushing power button for 10 and more seconds, untill your screen is dark and without, blue, green , and red lights on.
5.Run minimal adb fastboot v1.3.1 as administrator, and write this fastboot boot recovery.img but dont hit enter.
6.Now push both volume keys (volume up + volume down) and connect the usb cable. After vibration hit enter in cmd.
7.After a few seconds your phone will boot in recovery. You will see 2.8.1 twrp recovery on yor phone, and on computer my is windows 7 it will open 12 gb partition from phone, wait if computer neds to download drivers for phone.
8.If you are erease everything like i did, in that 12 gb partition it will be only twrp folder and nothing else.
Copy rom that you downloaded from step 1 in that 12 gb partition.(not in that twrp folder)
9.In twrp recovery on your phone hit Install, and you will see a lot of folders , i cant rememeber where it was copied my custom rom from step 1.
but it is not so dificult, open every folder on twrp recovery untill you find your rom, chose it, and swipe to install
10.After install complete and reboot your system. You're done
11. dont use " adb sideload " command it will result in error: device not found
12. If you got some problem with windows while download drivers for you phone, you can manually download lenovo usb drivers, you will fin them on almost every custom rom for k910 on needrom.
I only register on this forum, to write this, a lot of things I have read here has helped me, so I have an obligation to help someone else.
I wish you good luck.

[Q] Huawei u8500 HELP! Not booting!

Hello,
I have seen 1 thread that might help me under address:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1320350
So basically I own Huawei ideos u8500 and wanted to flash it, but instead of editing flashbooting I clicked it. After this my phone does not boot past flash screen, what changed is that I get a notepad-font Android inscription between Huawei logo and Android, so the later just loads and loads again.
I'm noob with updating software, rooting or whatever. When I went into flash mode, I installed drivers for windows xp but the drive didnt appear there. I tried factory reset, didnt work, maybe rom update would work? I dont have clockwork recovery mod installed.
Any ideas how to get this done? Maybe some other way to reset stuff would help?
Thank you all for reading it

Hey,
I also got problems with PC... so I think I opened flashbooting.bat without flashing mode as my PC doesnt work...and my phone is screwed.
In flashing mode theres no new device, but when I open it normally and put usb I can see 2 disks (1 SD and 2nd Phone).
So basically I could install a new ROM, although I have no idea how. I need to put Clockwork mod to root file... But which disk?
Instruction: how I doing it.
for new users like me who wants to update or reflash half-bricked U8500.
first, boot ur phone to fastboot mode (vol up+red tube+power) - it looks like forever loading with huawei logo.
download drivers for U8500 and install
download CWM fastboot for U8500
connect phone to pc, wait for drivers installing, then unzip cwm and double-click install.bat file from admin.
now you should have CWM.
boot to recovery CWM (vol up+green tube+power)
then go to mount ----> mount USB with volume keys and OK button or with joystick
now your phone connected as USB flash device, put any ROM that supposed to go for U8500 (for example Cyanogen mod 7 or even stock rom) in zip archive to root of SD card, click to unmount USB, go back to top and click install update from zip file and choose your zipped ROM located on SD card. after completing click wipe cache and wipe data then reboot device.

MT7 TL-10 bringing back to alive after Lollipop softbrick

There are several threads and questions regarding soft brick of MT7 TL-10 after deleting of system in TWRP. Some people referring that installation stucks at 90 percent..i had the same problem..playing in TWRP and suddenly deleting/wiping system and all data..i was trying all possibilities mentioned in this forum..after many hours i succeeded to bring my phone back to business. Now i would like to share my knowledge gained during this process. I own an international version of MT7 TL-10..Before updating to Lollipop and wiping all data i was running B125SP02 firmware.
Here is step by step the procedure:
1. boot into bootloader( Vol Down + Power button with phone plugged to PC)
2. Download fastboot.zip from here: https://mega.co.nz/#!fZ4CCDJD!gSMMZGhfsEx23LqbPelCWFchMYhHtl3Ro6kv7Rpz-40
3. You need to flash Boot and Recovery image in fastboot..Click thru the folder till sub folder named Fastboot..Press Shift+Right Click - Open Command window here: type - fastboot flash boot boot.img, press Enter..next command - fastboot flash recovery recovery.img..with this you have flashed boot and recovery images..dont close the command window and dont unplug your phone..stay connected
4. prepare you SD card, i used San Disk 64GB, any card 4GB+ should do the trick..Card must be formated in FAT32 otherwise your phone wont recognize your card..this you can do very easy way..
This small utility will help you: http://download.cnet.com/EaseUS-Partition-Master-Home-Edition/3000-2248_4-10863346.html?tag=mncol%3bpop&cdlPid=10982635
5. download the rollback package for M7 TL-10 http://consumer.huawei.com/it/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=45463
copy dload folder to your formatted FAT32 SD Card....remember, you are still in bootload mode.
6.now go back to opened command window, and you type: fastboot reboot and press enter..the card is till not inserted.the phone will restart and now you can unplug your phone..you will get scree restart/wipe data/wipe cache
7.insert your SD card into your phone, press and hold Vol UP and Down at the same time and press Power button. phone will restart but you are still holding Vol Up and Down pressed for aprox. 10 seconds till Huawei logo disappears.
8.Update will start automatically , when update is done, phone will restart again till screen restart/wipe data/cache..you have successfully rolled back..stay there, do nothing, leave your phone how it is.
9.download stock Rom, i chose this one: http://consumer.huawei.com/it/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=45462
10.remove your SD card, and on PC/Laptop delete the previous rollback update.app, but dont format the SD card..now copy dload folder from downloaded firmware, in this case B125SP02..
insert you card back into your phone
11.Now press again Vol Up+Down, keep pressing for aprox. 10 seconds and restart the phone with one Power button press..wait until the Huawei logo disappears..update will start automatically...wait till its finish, phone will restart and boot your system. And you are back again.
I guess, this quide should help also for TL-09 model, but with with Rom for your model.
Hope i could help you. If you have any questions, just PM me.
Hello!
Do you know where can i take the corect boot.img and recovery img for L09?
Thank you!
Its the same..
Hello !
You sad this:
".Update will start automatically , when update is done, phone will restart again till screen restart/wipe data/cache..you have successfully rolled back..stay there, do nothing, leave your phone how it is."
I installed the update, my phone restarted, it started again, but it freeze at huawei logo. That wipe/delete menu is not appear.
You phone did the same?
I continued with the installation, i pressed vol up + vol down, the huawei logo disappear, but the screen become black, and it is staying black.
Update: I fixed the black screen but the installation of the kitkat freeze at 90%
Thank you!
Did you unplug your phone? if yes, try to flash lollipop recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/orig-development/recovery-twrp-2-8-7-0-mate7-android-5-1-t3156779
There delete/wipe everything what you can..flash back the original recovery and try it one more time
Thank you for your help!
It is working now!
I unpacked the B137 rom, and from this rom i forced flash from adb "system.img".
After that i did you guide again!
But, after the installation of the transition pack, the phone didn't want to install the kitkat update.app.
But i forced the installation of the software (3 button method) with the card ejected, and when the installation screen appeared i inserted the card.
And now everything is ok.
Thank you!
Have a nice week-end!
thank you

first of all you must never push 3 function key (vol + vol - power) while you connectet to pc ( cause 90 % stuck problem)
1. unpack kitkat using huwai update extrator and flash system. img through adb by command: fastboot flash system system.img

YU Yureka with no OS stuck on a Bootloop and unable to enter recovery mode.

Hey guys!
So, i was trying to install CM13 unofficial version, and wiped the system and internal storage using TWRP recovery. I was supposed to install the rom from a zip file i had placed in the external memory card. What i did, was, i rebooted the phone by mistake, after wiping it from the recovery without installing the ROM and now the phone is caught in a bootloop. I know i am an idiot to do that. I tried removing the battery and reboot it in recovery mode using the key combination with no luck. It just starts the boot loop. I tried using fastboot and adb from pc to push files into the internal memory, but my device is not getting detected on the adb anymore (maybe the usb debugging is disabled now?).
What i guess is stopping TWRP recovery from showing up is the lack of twrp/themes folder in the internal memory since i wiped it. But there might be some other cause that i am unaware of. What do i do now? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Hey! I'm having the same problem with my yu yureka.. Can anyone help me please!

Hi! I'm having the same problem with this post... Does anyone knows the solution of this problem. I'd be really glad if anyone could help me with this..please!
Hey are you able to boot into fastboot mode? If you can....
Prerequisites –
1. Make sure that you have 70-80% battery on your phone.
2. You need a PC and a USB cable to connect your phone to the PC.
3. Flashing the factory firmware will wipe all the data present in the internal memory. So, make a backup of that if you can.
4.Install all the necessary Device drivers.
DOWNLOADS -
1. Download the flash tools from here . http://www.mediafire.com/download/87gfz7mdch188an/Flashtools_For_Yu_Yureka.zip
2. Download the factory firmware from Here (cm 12.1) . http://builds.cyngn.com/factory/tomato/cm-12.1-YOG4PAS3JM-tomato-signed-fastboot.zip
Steps To Flash Factory Firmware –
1. Extract the flashtools zip in a new folder on the desktop.
2. Extract the factory firmware zip in the same folder and make sure that all of the flashtools files are also present.
3. Now, power off your phone. If you are stuck in a bootloop, then pull out the battery and reinsert it. (Do not switch on the phone.)
4. While pressing the Volume Up key, connect your phone to the PC with the help of a USB cable.
5. You should now see the fastboot logo on your device. If you did, leave the Volume Up key. (If you do not see the logo, retry the process.)
6. Now go to the folder where you extracted the flash tools and factory firmware and run the flash-all.bat by double clicking on it.
7. A command window will open and the flashing procedure will start. (Make sure that your device does not disconnect from your PC during the procedure.)
8. The command window will automatically close once the procedure is completed.
9. Disconnect your device and boot it up by pressing the Power button. (Since this is first boot after flashing the firmware, it may take upto 5 minutes.)
Done you should be back on cm 12.1

I flashed the factory image via YGDP tool as well as fastboot. But it boots upto a point and then goes in bootloop. Also if i wipe data/cache still it makes no difference. Also unlocked bootloader and twrp also don't load up. Again goes in bootloop.

Sorry to hear that anyway,
By stock lolipop you mean you had the yureka plus with Volte From factory right!!...if so the twrp might have been for the yureka plus with the cm bootloader which got replaced in the new Devcice
I am facing the same problem and in my case I dont think its an battery issue...I was happily using the CM 13.0 Snapshot Rom since a long time...but today morning when I did a soft reset by going into the settings in my yureka...the phone has gone in bootloop...and nothing is working...using fastboot I even flashed the twrp again and also flashed the CM 12.0 Stock firmware..but nothing is working...after the YU logo it restarts....please help...
I am also facing problem maybe worst

Ignore that and use other fastboot commands and go ahead, as your device is being detected in fastboot mode.

But when I am executing other fastboot commands it halts the process between with error "FAILED (remote: unknown command)".
I have read about this error and people suggested that I need to get into "Download mode" not "fastboot/bootload". To get into "download" mode I tried pressing "VoulumeDown+Power+Home", but nothing happened, it simply restarted the phone.
Please advise.

boot problem

When i boot or reboot my rooted my Samsung galaxy grand prime g530h it directly enters in recovery mode , WHY ?
Due to this problem my mobile does not show battery percentage while charging switched off mobile.
Even when i have not installed any rom , why does this problem occur ?
The only thing i did was just rooted my mobile using odin .
But , I do have custom recovery CWN
Why does it boot or reboot in recovery mode ?
What should i do to solve it ?
Need an quick answer .
Depends on the situation on why it boots to recovery. Probably would need more information. Do you have a custom recovery and if so what one? What were you doing before this behavior came into play. Please give as much detail as possible and I might be able to help you. Or someone else can.

Wow. Sounds to me in my opinion that u soft bricked your device. But have no fear. Samsung devices are virtually impossible to perm brick as long as you operate Odin correctly. First thing your going to have to do is find an custom recovery to put on the device. In my opinion as soon you rooted you should of done it because people do make mistakes.
I do not own a Samsung device personaly my wife does but she won't let me touch it LMAO. Try searching on Xda for Samsung galaxy grand prime g530h softbrick

Universal unbrick guide:
Terminology - types of bricks:
Soft brick - often occurs in the shape of a bootloop or any other problems with booting such as always getting to recovery or not getting past the carrier logo. This type of a brick, which shows some signs of life, can in most cases be fixed.
Hard brick - As the name implies, your phone can essentially used as a brick and it shows no signs of life. This kind of a brick is rare and in theory should be unfixable. However there are advanced methods of fixing your phones such as JTAG, but they require extra tools and accessories.
The decision:
Is my phone soft or hard bricked?
If you answer yes to all of the questions below you probably have a hard birck:
Test as said in order!
Nothing happenes when you hold or press the power button
You cannot get the screen to even turn on by pressing or holding any combination of buttons on your phone
Nothing happenes if you do the same as about but with your phone plugged into a charger
Nothing happenes when you plug your phone into a computer
When you plug in your phone into a computer it does not recognize it as a phone, storage or any other media device
Nothing happenes when you try all of the above again, but with removing the battery in between steps for 10 seconds and putting it back in again
Nothing happenes when you try all of the above again, but after leaving the phone plugged into a charger for 2 hours
If all of the questions are a "yes", then you either have a broken charging port and and a discharged battery or you have a hard brick.
The unbricking:
There are many methods of unbricking and they are all different to each phone. Here I will list the most common methods that often succeed.
Samsung users skip to 4. method.
1. If you have access to a stock recovery:
Method 1:
1. Shut down / turn off your phone.
2. Boot into Recovery mode – hold down the volume down button and then hold the power button (the button combination is different for every phone. Look yours up on Google)
3. Use volume keys to navigate the menus, and power button to select the menu items (Again, might be different for every phone)
4. Choose “Wipe Cache Partition”.
5. Choose “Wipe Data / Factory Reset” to delete all your settings and apps, using the correct ROM.
6. Reboot your device.
Method 2:
Download the stock rom for your phone. It should be in ".zip" format. Make sure it's the official version
(Find it by Googling something like "[your phone model] stock rom")
Put the file on your phone's external SD card.
Make sure that the rom is for your exact phone model.
4. Select "apply update from external storage"
5. Navigate to the zip file you copied to your phone
6. Install it.
If you get Status Error 7 that means you didn't download an official stock rom.
2. If you have access to a custom recovery:
Method 1:
Try stock recovery method 1
Method 2:
1. Find a stable custom rom for your phone or if you want to download the stock rom
Make sure that the rom is for your exact phone model.
2.. Copy the zip file to the phone's external SD.
3. Install the zip
(If you have a custom recovery you probably know the drill)
3. If you have access to fastboot mode:
First install ADB and fastboot drivers (if you haven't already):
To install it on windows there is a handy tool called the 15 Second ADB installer which will install pretty much everything you need.
On Ubuntu install with:
Code:
sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot
On Fedora:
Code:
sudo dnf install android-tools
On OS X using Homebrew:
Code:
brew install android-platform-tools
Once you have the drivers installed you have to find a recovery image for your phone to install a custom recovery.
You can try one of the popular recoveries such as CWM or TWRP.
You need to get the recoveryNameHere.img file for your phone.
Find it by Googling:
"[your phone model] TWRP recovery"
or
"[your phone model] CWM recovery"
Make sure that the recovery is for your exact phone model.
Now on your phone enter fastboot mode:
Turn your phone off.
You can try different button combinations. For my phone it's holding power and volume down buttons.
Once you're in fastboot mode plug your phone into a computer and open your terminal/cmd.
Type in:
Code:
fastboot devices
You should see a list of devices. There should be only one device ID number.
If you see the ID it's working. If you don't you didn't install the Google USB driver properly (on Windows) and if it says "'fastboot' is not a recognized command" or "No command 'fastboot' found" then you didn't even install your drivers.
If you have problems with installing Google "how to install adb and fastboot drivers"
Now that you know fastboot is working type in:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery C:\Path\To\Recovery.img
Replace "C:\Path\To\Recovery.img" with an actuall path of the recovery file you downloaded.
It should say success.
If it doesn't try to execute:
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
This will delete all data you had on your phone (games, game progress, apps...).
Now try
Code:
fastboot flash recovery C:\Path\To\Recovery.img
again.
Once you're done type in:
Code:
fastboot reboot
And your phone should still not work. Now what you have to do it try the custom recovery method above (number 2.)
4. If you have a Samsung device:
Try this tutorial of unbricking with Odin: click here

GT-S6310N recovery stuck + undetect in Odin mode

Hello guys!
I need some sloution for this problem. Few weeks ago, i installed CWM Recovery in my S6310N + root zip. After install root zip, i rebooted it and automically go recovery mode in every start.
-OK, no prob, i try to install custom ROM...hah, failed, becouse try to install zip, the phone automatically reboot (browsed zip, go yes, 0.5 sec and reboot back to recovery).
-OK, don't have a panic, try to back stock ROM...hah...i couldn't boot Odin mode, except ADB shell (adb reboot bootloader command, the ADB saw my phone in recovery mode). BUT, when boot Odin mode successful, i have a error code 10 in Device Manager (Samsung mobile USB CDC Composite Device failed to start, same win10 Pro, same Windows 7 and Vista).
I tried a lots of driver, cable, little rabbits, huge cannons, but nothing happened.
So the question: how to solving error code 10 in ODIN mode and can flashing a stock ROM?
I tried these solution:
-checked a lots of USB ports/PCs/cables
-replaced Samsung drivers (including Samsung Kies)
-i used to a hungarian strong language, when i angry
-ADB shell Command prompt (boot in Odin mode, becouse i cannot boot it with hardware buttons (just only vibrating when i push a button combination))
I hope to this phone not died, when I installed a Root zip in CWM Recovery.
Thanks a help and a lots of useful solution.
