Hi,
Answer to all your question is : Flashing Custom rom and custom kernel . you can modify kernel parameters to help maintain battery life + you can also play with charing current. but be aware . if you are not sure about what you are doing then pls dont go ahead without backing up your current system

Hello! I have the Boost Mobile LG Volt and I am somewhat of a noob but smart enough to get it rooted on V4 using a rollback guide and towelroot. My problem is i hate the stock kernel and hate not having voltage control. Is there a flashable package that i can use to add voltage control and all of the other fun things that come with a custom kernel? Ive seen guides on porting roms to my device and they seem fairly simple since its just editing a zip with all custom stuff and leaving the sys files alone. Again the kernel!!! Ive tried flashing so many diffrent kernels but they all softbrick my phone
I love this phone. With root i have CPU settings so it lasts 3 days heavy use. I want more !!! Please help!!!
The stock kernel for this phone is available on githubhttps://github.com/chevanlol360/Kernel_LGE_X5
And from what im reading kernels must be device tailored?

yes sir they do. development is still in its infancy, there are people working on cyanogenmod right now, but they "JUST" got audio support, so you may want to wait a minute. There are a few custom roms available, just takes a lil google-fu.
Also you are very lucky to still have a working phone, careful with those kernels.
Hi everyone. So far i've been using Skyhigh 3.5 because this one was the most balanced one in terms of functionality, battery life, and others. It's been the only custom rom i ever tried on this rom.
But now it's laggiest than ever and i'm tired, and i don't rely on any valid warranty period. So, i'm ready to try it, as i heard that marshmallow roms are performing good and smooth. Really good news!!
Questions:
1- If i have the lastest TWRP 2.8.7.1 (the one i have), can i just install it over the skyhigh just like that? Of course, with mobile odin.
2- Will i see many difference in battery performance? I know that every full custom rom has worst battery life than, for example, a skyhigh.
3- If after a while, i prefer to go back to the skyhigh, can i just install it over the marshmallow? I ask this to avoid conflict with different bootloaders or different issues that i could find.
Thank you very much everyone!!!
I will be giving it to my mother as her first smartphone and I need to be confident it will work okay for her with minimal tech knowledge needed to fix any issue, can you recommend one?

Can't get much better than the stock rom that comes with it. Can't get much more stable. Why go to custom rom?
+1

No random bluetooth, cellular and wifi driver crashes on this?
Here is the Optimized stock rom for you. You don't need computer to flash it as you can flash it via custom recovery like twrp.

None of them for me.
Try pure nexus ROM,very few app come out of the build and install only what you need.Very stable for me
Stock... You need stock ROM for this situation, it is the most stable and battery friendly and the least confusing. At least they could ask someone who has general familiarity with Android questions without going into menus on Res Remix or AICP or something that would confuse them.
The situation calls for simplicity, stability, and functionality... stock is the best choice. If you don't have your backup, look around here, there are plenty of tutorials on how to go back to stock.
Go with stock rom
I was also looking for a stable ROM for Moto G3 XT1541. Interesting to see all the recommendations here to stay with the stock ROM. My reason for considering a custom ROM was that I've stopped getting system updates: last was around June with Android patch security level 1 April 2017 so I've assumed no more updates are being issued. I'm not comfortable using a system that isn't getting security updates, so is a custom ROM the way to go?
(Hope this isn't considered thread hijacking, happy to post as new thread if so.)
Stock or LineageOS, as they don't have unnecessary customizations.
Hi,last Sunday I bought an almost-new G930F;on monday I flashed Netherlands rom.
I've used and adjusted it some days but there are somethings than I don't like it:The rom has the face, instagram, skype apps, and Gear Vr Services. This app has surprised me with high battery use, really exagerated.
The rom has the 2019 genuary patch installed.
I would like to known which rom doesn,t has these apps,or when they were supplemented in the roms....I would like to test some Stock roms before flashing custom roms....I have a s5 and the perormance with stock 6.0 is excellent...
Your comments and experiences are appreciated,Thanks in advance from Spain!

Hello
All Stock ROMS have those apps pre-installed there's nothing you can do about it if you just want a stock ROM. However if you want to get rid of those apps you first have to root the phone then use any app remover from Google play store to get rid of what you don't want.
It is much easier to install a "Stock" Custom Rom which has all those apps removed and then your battery life will be great. There are lots to choose in the Rom section of this forum.

Not many custom ROMs being updated now but Lightrom is debloated and very near stock. Forget about good battery life there's lots of things affecting it so there no perfect answer
I've been using the LineageOS 16.0 ROM for some time, it updates regularly. But being LineageOS it's not a ROM for you if you like the Samsung experience and apps.
