CDMA virgin mobile connected almost immediately!
Only have 3g.
I've tried using root browser to move a file, and root access doesn't seem to work.
I've tried with the root option in dev options and also two different supersu versions.
I was trying to replace my apns_config and it would just fail.
I also had the play services fc using open gapps and slim gapps.
I will try banks gapps later.
Big thanks to you Alberto!

Android M forces the system to be mounted as read-only, you could try remounting using ADB with:
adb root
adb shell mount -o rw,remount /
Can someone test dual Sim?

What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.
Anyway to get a working system I added some changes from CodeAurora Forum and CyanogenMod. I added also 3 non-AOSP features for a better user experience (Advanced Reboot, "Clear All" button in Recents and an option to delete screenshots from the notification area) and I'm NOT going to add something other.

I think I love you. Thanks for the hard work.
For those are wondering, yes I've built the CM13 too but I have a weird and annoying bug there. For some reason Google's Location Provider causes random memory corruptions which lead to many random reboots when you're connected to a wifi network. Without a WiFi connection presence the device bootloops endlessly (we actually had a similar issue with moto msm8916 family but the problem was explicit there, here it's not). Nougat isn't affected by this bug, so that's why I'm directly publishing CM14.1 and skipping CM13
I think i love you too, very very thanks for the hard work
Does this work for the dual sim model? ("retla release channel")?
Skipped right over 6.0 and 7.0 and right to 7.1, Heh. My moto x pure isnt even on 7.1 yet. Awesome work!
What about encryption, does CM 14.1 Will encrypt when I set up the fingerprint scanner? Because I don't want encryption in my phone, I want to get the most of the SD625. Thanks.

No, I've disabled forced encryption on cm but you have to erase userdata through fastboot to get rid of encryption. Wipe data from TWRP isn't enough.

Camera stack is closed source on most of devices, motos included. On Nougat Google has done a lot of changes to the camera sources, so our prebuilt files find a new "unknown evnironment" while they expect the Marshmallow one.
There currently are some workarounds for this but nothing changes on this device; probably because of some changes made in our stack for the hasselblad camera module.
Do you think it will be possible to get moto mods working on custom roms? Is it something like the camera where we just need the blobs for 7.0 and integrate them into the kernel and all that or would it be a complicated mess to get them working at all?
Perhaps I'll be flashing this, how stable is it beside the camera and torch bugs? Are you using it as your daily driver?
Also, what gapps should I download? 64bit?
Hey bro, and Moto G 2015? ?

The Snapdragon 625 that's in our devices is 32-bit, so you wouldn't use the 64-bit GApps.

Im pretty sure our snapdragon 625 is not 32-bit, it is definitely built on aarch64. I think they just built the stock rom for armv7 or aarch32 which our processor is still compatible with. Probably because there isnt much of a reason to compile for aarch64. Taking a guess, I would think that this rom is 32-bit as well because the kernel source for our device would be based off of stock, I can easily be wrong about this though.
This is for Build Number MPN24.104-44 ? Indian Dual Sim.
Thank u so much man for working on this rom. Was regularly checking everyday for any Nougat rom and saw this. Very Happy. But I use my camera a lot so can't flash it right now. Hope the bugs get resolved pretty soon. Thanks for the rom again

I tested it and everything works (except for the camera for reasons already stated). In order for me to get a similar experience to Moto Display I found this app and it works almost as good on CM.

The only bad thing is that you have to purchase Pro to get Wave to Wake, but it is worth it in my opinion.

Nice, is a flash possible from your last 16.0-20191025 release, without data loss?
....ok just tried it, it works just fine. Simply flashed current firmware; system / vendor / cache deleted; flashed ROM; flashed GAPPS. ...Reboot
Good job
just flashed and booted with no problem
the thing I like best about this ROM is that we can use both the gesture pill and the hardware buttons at the same time
still some minor lag when opening apps, open recent app menu and switching between apps
other than that, the ROM is great
thanks for your work.. flash it and everything looks great.. but when i make a call, i got the speacker set "on" and can't disable.. try others dialers with the same result.
ROM goes great. But is there any way to turn off the navigation buttons?
Please help Bluetooth isn't working right for me. I can connect to my devices, but the music keeps playing through the phone speaker. What can I do?

1. Open File Manager in TWRP, go to: /adb/modules/Viper4AndroidFX

Some people are trying to patch Goodix library (it's closed source so it needs low-level hex code changes, which is difficult and time consuming), you can check their progress here https://github.com/Roker2/fingerprint.goodix.so
So yea, something is happening, but it's hard to say if and when will it work.
Thank you Aryan Kedare for this beautiful rom.
I have noticed 4 bugs; partially mentioned here:
1. on phone call; audio plays through speaker, cannot be disabled
2. on bluetooth connection; audio plays through phone, both music and phone calls cannot connect to the bluetooth device
3. on whatsapp; voice message recorded on the phone is empty
4. software buttons cannot be disabled, only lowered to 'gesture'. But maybe this is an android 10 'feature', not a bug.
Probably all bugs are related somehow. If you need logcat, let me know.

Fdroid and microg setup
Right now you need an alpha version of fdroid to function with the privileged extension on Android 10 get version 1.8-alpha1 or newer
Once installed, add the microg fdroid repo. A quick search will lead you to it.
Install microg services core, microg services framework proxy, fakestore, and a unified nlp backend.
I found for installing microg services, I still had to give fdroid unknown sources permission. This doesn't seem to happen with any other app from fdroid.
Open the microg app, give it the permissions it requests and then in the self check tap "system grants signature spoofing permission" and grant it signature spoofing
Now we have to grant unified nlp location permissions. This is done easily from adb root
enable adb and root adb in developer options, plug in your phone, and run:
adb root
adb shell
then run the following in the adb shell
HTML:
pm grant com.google.android.gms android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION
HTML:
pm grant com.google.android.gms android.permission.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
Finally, grant the fakestore signature spoofing permissions
HTML:
pm grant com.android.vending android.permission.FAKE_PACKAGE_SIGNATURE
and reboot your phone you can now disable developer options
Further troubleshooting information can be found here https://old.reddit.com/r/MicroG/wiki/issues

The network traffic monitor is being shown right before camera notch, so it's being blocked. It would be really nice to be able to adjust it's position.
Also, turning on screen recorder makes phone reboot.

Best ROM out there
Hi OP
First, thank you very much for all the effort you put to bring this amazing ROM.
This is my review after using the ROM for 3 weeks.
Pros:
- Improved camera, QR codes are scanned perfectly like for WhatsApp web and Entrust Entitlement registration.
- In call volume bug fixed where user hears the maximum volume in the phone earpiece.
- MicroG install makes a great deal of battery save.
- Vendor and Kernels are decently updated
- Audio Enhancer ported from memeui works like charm
Cons
- FM Radio is broken, no kernel support found.
- Encryption is not possible with this build.
- Network traffic is not visible.
In the matter of evaluation, I'd rank it above AEX or crDroid on battery optimisation.
I'd love to hear from OP on this.
Is it going to be official anytime soon?
