What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.
Anyway to get a working system I added some changes from CodeAurora Forum and CyanogenMod. I added also 3 non-AOSP features for a better user experience (Advanced Reboot, "Clear All" button in Recents and an option to delete screenshots from the notification area) and I'm NOT going to add something other.

Reporting Bugs
You may report bugs in this thread, note that I do not intend to update this ROM often and bug reports may be ignored. If you're looking for a ROM which is often updated, please use CyanogenMod.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

FAQ
Can you include the "ask first" option for sending messages?
The "ask first" option is not available in AOSP. However, you can select the SIM when you send the message if you use Google's Messenger app.
Battery Statistics shows that Wi-Fi is always on even though I've turned it off.
If you are using "scanning always available" in Advanced Wi-Fi Settings, then Wi-Fi will always be on to scan for available network to aid location discovery.
How do I enable root?
Root need to be flashed manually.
I'm having battery issues
Read http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...galaxy-grand-duos-i9082-t2942255/post57836573
After installing, my storage was reduced from 8 GB to 4 GB
You only have 4 GB for user data in the first place. The other 4 GB is used by system files. This is the same with stock as well. However, stock might have displayed it as "8 GB with 4 GB used by system files", but AOSP-based ROMs will only display the space available for user data.
Can you include Feature X into your ROM?
No. This ROM will have AOSP's feature set.
Can you include S-Note/S-Planner/MultiWindow/Insert Samsung App Here?
No. This is an AOSP ROM and cannot have TouchWiz applications.
Can you include call recording?
No.
What kernel does this ROM use?
A slightly modified version of the stock kernel, the source code is linked above.
I've heard that Broadcom doesn't release source, how can you make this ROM?
Contrary to the popular belief, userspace driver source code is not always required to make an AOSP-based ROM as long as the proprietary binaries shipped with the device does not modify the API too heavily (or is from a very different version of Android). Instead of modifying the source code of the drivers, the Android source code was adapted to be able to use the proprietary binaries.
Can I use your ROM as a base?
http://source.android.com/source/licenses.html
Most of Android is licensed under the Apache License with other small parts licensed under other open-source licenses. Which means that you may modify and redistribute without asking for permission as long as the proper credits is given.
Can contacts be saved to phone/SIM?
No. It is not supported in AOSP-based ROMs.
Can I send files over Wi-Fi Direct?
Yes, but you must use third-party applications. The implementation provided on Samsung ROMs is not an open standard. AOSP/CM does not provide a native way to send files over Wi-Fi Direct.
Can I mirror your ROM?
You're free to, but I will not list it in this post.

Great Work!!
Thx very much .. I will wait AICP 6.0
.... @GHsR Can you continue @haky 86 kernal ?
Thanks but I have this error when flashing it with twrp 2.8.7:
This package is for device: s2ve; this device is s2vep.
I have to modify some files in the zip or have you uploaded the s2ve version?
thanks!
edit:
I have modified the file aosp-6.0-20151014-UNOFFICIAL-i9105p\META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script replacing s2ve with s2vep
now the script runs and I'm installing!
@MeDoOoS the kernel need a lot of works, mean we should merge entire s2vep code manually to 3.4 and i don't know even if will boot.
@GHsR nice work, I'll proceed with CM-13.0 the download is almost finish
Nice work, when RIL will work and can use it in daily activity

The default browser causes system reboot.
Have you found any working gapps?

I think this commit should fix the NFC - https://github.com/ghsr/android_dev...mmit/d7386fbd9bbcb26badffdbe5af1fab99f8abd8e5
AOSP doesn't support BOARD_NFC_HAL_SUFFIX flag and nfc_nci.bcm2079x.capri can't be built. But I can't test it, I have a device without nfc.
Maybe tomorrow I will update rom with some fixes.

Well at the moment I'm trying it with cm-13.0 and got several erros in sepolicy in vendor/cm/sepolicy not related with NFC, i just remove sepolicy.mk in that folder, compilation work fine until now.
About NFC, strange i didn't remove BOARD_NFC_HAL_SUFFIX on AOSP 5.1.1 and it work at all, i will report if NFC work on my CM Marshmallow.

I do not know which one will work, you can test and tell us.

I've already tried all these gapps without success.
The problem is related to the google play services that crash. I've also tried to install various versions of google play services for MM directly on pure AOSP but the problem remains the same.
I'll try this evening to get a logcat of this error.
The problem related to the reboot caused by the browser depends on the denied location permission.
If you give to google site the permission to access your location but in the browser security application section this permission is denied, the system crashes and reboots.

CDMA virgin mobile connected almost immediately!
Only have 3g.
I've tried using root browser to move a file, and root access doesn't seem to work.
I've tried with the root option in dev options and also two different supersu versions.
I was trying to replace my apns_config and it would just fail.
I also had the play services fc using open gapps and slim gapps.
I will try banks gapps later.
Big thanks to you Alberto!

Android M forces the system to be mounted as read-only, you could try remounting using ADB with:
adb root
adb shell mount -o rw,remount /
Can someone test dual Sim?

Key Notes
Flashlight toggle works perfectly. Yay!!
Battery charging LED too works, but expecting CM to break it, again.
If you are going to install gapps, flash it just after flashing CM13. I used pico opengapps, flashed after CM13 booted up, got frequent Setup Wizard and GPServices error. Right then, did a factory reset. Working.
Guys, let's not forget that is a development thread.
It seems like the majority of users with bricked devices have partitioned SD cards. While I can't guarantee anything, this seems to be the only possible reason at the moment. I have been testing CM13 on my C2105 for weeks, but never had that issue. And no, it's not the model number - the differences between C2104 and C2105 are rather minimal and the ROM has been confirmed working on both variants anyway.
Nevertheless, I've locked the thread and removed the download link for now, but just for the future: Don't re-partition your SD cards - in case you have already done so, format your storage before flashing this ROM! Xperia L doesn't have storage galore and the apps get bigger and bigger, I know. But if you aren't satisfied with that you better buy a new device.
Anyway, I'm sorry for the hard bricks.
EDIT: Those who have ended up with hardbricks have probably played around with the new "adoptable storage" feature, it can destroy the emmc.
Thread cleaned per OPs request.
A new build (ALPHA2) is up. Everything should be working, except for bugs mentioned in the second post - although I have been testing the build myself (as usual), I'd appreciate useful feedback. Enjoy, thread reopened...
I might give it a try later today when I get home.
Oh, and what is this "adoptable storage" feature, and how do I know if I have it enabled? I'm afraid of a permabrick since I recently bought this device and I won't be able to buy a new one if something goes wrong...
Edit: Can this be installed with the TWRP from corphish's app?
I installed Alpha 2 (19/12 Build)....
And All Basic Features and My Favorites Apps Are Working Good...
I'm feeling that CM13 is very smooth and fast...
No problem in Power off and reboot to... :highfive:
I'm waiting for Camera Fix... :fingers-crossed:
Thank You So Much.... :good:
Huge improvement

My review: Flashed it via TWRP and it supports f2fs too... (System was in ext4 though) Boot time was less compared to LP... And yeah everything's great. It's butter smooth. No lags or what so ever! Battery backup is good too... But the only thing I noticed was the network type remains on 3g no matter what i do. Rest all is fine. Fm radio is missing though. Looking forward for camera fix too. Overall a splendid ROM for alpha stage. Also no hardbricks or anything... Rebooted thrice till now and no issues. Great Work.
(Pardon me if i posted in wrong place..... I'm noob in XDA)

I tried the Alpha 2 and it was pretty good for an alpha.. Jesus, I was VERY worried during the install, even of the tiniest error.
When it finished I was pretty ****ing relieved that I didn't experience a brick.
The alpha was 'stable'. I mean, things didn't force-close for me constantly, which was the experience for me with other alphas. I can't wait till the camera gets fixed.

General F.A.Q.
Q: What the hell is madOS ?
A: madOS, (M.A.D. Team OS), is a ROM based on pure A.O.S.P. with extended capabilities and customizations made by or merge/adapted by M.A.D. Team.
Q: Some translations are missing for my language, can I help?
A: Sure you can, please check our translations repo available here , you can either do a pull request, or if you don't know how to work with git, sent us the XML. Strings for your language ( Check Readme on repo).
Q: What's working ?
A: Check first Post for current status
Q: When I try to install the ROM it says "Error 7 symlink failed", what gives?
A: You need to unmount /system first on twrp
Q: After flashing TWRP says "No OS Installed?"
A: Ignore this message. If the ROM flash indicated as being successful, you can swipe to reboot and the OS should boot.
Q: Do i really need full wipes?
A: Yeah
Q: App "x" doesn't work, why?
A: Probably not compatible with Nougat yet, feedback is welcome
Q: Is the rom rooted?
A: NO, But you can easily root with SuperSU v2.76 onwards.
For 7.1.2: Latest SuperSU ( 2.79, etc)
Q: Does xposed work?
A: As of now, there's no Xposed for N, so no
Q: Does busybox still works on Nougat?
A: yes
Q: AdAway no longer works on Nougat, what can I do?
A: Simply install busybox first, available from the Play Store, and it'll download hosts and work just fine then
Q: Data Connection does not work, why?
A: The ROM, already includes latest APNs, if you still have no active data connection, check your APN settings
Q: How is battery life with Nougat?
A: It should be comparable to Marshmallow.
Update: We've already fixed several memory leaks and draining issues
Q: Does this build support Vulcan?
A: No. Vulcan does not provide support for MediaTek (yet?)
Q: Does doze work in this build?
A: Yes. You do not have to enable anything; it is active by default.
Q: Does this ROM supports Substratum ?

Just installed, I'm getting google play services stopped error. I did install as instructed, wipe -> install rom -> boot -> install gapps. Something I can try to fix that? Did that twice..

Moto Mods are not supported
AOSP is Android as Google release without other modifications, similar to Pixel/Nexus stock rom but without gapps.
Features such as Chop Chop, Double Twist, Fingerprint sleep and Ambient display gestures are kept.
Google does not release an AOSP Browser anymore since Marshmallow, thus there isn't a default browser. If I find the time I might port and revamp it in the future.
Installation
Make sure you have a nougat (or oreo) bootloader and modem else TWRP denies the installation by throwing a message about the wrong bootloader. Further details and a guide to upgrade what you need without losing data here.
Requires Unlocked Bootloader & a custom recovery (at least twrp-3.1.1-1 is required for 8.0 and 3.2.1 for 8.1)
Place ROM & Gapps in your virtual SD
Reboot in Bootloader Mode
Go to "Recovery" (Vol +/Vol -) and confirm (power)
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Dalvik cache
Install the ROM zip
DO NOT REBOOT
Install the Gapps zip (arm for 8.0 arm64 for 8.1) (optional)
Reboot

Testing now!!
Thanks for the ROM. I have been facing a problem in volte feature. On lineage I am unable to use it and I can't make or receive calls from VOLTE. Moreover the LTE works only on second sim slot. Is there any chance I can fix it with this ROM?

It's not lost. It just shows blank but the IMS is working normal. Don't worry about it just ignore it.
Day 2 still doing awesome
yep, good job Alberto
For those who like slim approach.
Regarding features, The rom come with night display and usual gestures (lineageAction). May be i just miss the navbar tweaks, so i have simply removed the navbar to use a virtual button app.
Smooth and good battery.
I really enjoy it :good:
