Unlock Bootloader on Verizon M8 already S-Off
Hi all!
I have a HTC M8 locked on VZW with 5.0.1
I already gain a s-off with a java card but I had an error unlocking the bootloader (xtc2 tool says=unlock code process does not work on this device), I had easily grant temproot... sunshine says it's already s-off and nothing can do...
How can I unlock the bootloader???
I only want to put a cyano12 in this phone...

Change your cid to 22222222 and unlock with htcdev.com

[Q] S-OFF and HTCDev.com Unlock

If I have stupidly done the official htcdev.com unlock and I want to S-OFF can I still use the revolutionary S-OFF method. Will doing both the official unlock and the revolutionary method cause any issues? Has anyone tried this?
S-off
I think htc's site just makes your device s-off, but use the revolutionary method because in cases of warranty, htc's site might take a number down from your phone so if you happen to send it back they'll look up that number and you have to pay for the phone again if they found out that you s-off it. plus the revolutionary way is very easy
I have already done the htcdev unlock. My device is unlocked but S-ON. My question is if I do the revolutionary unlock on top of the htcdev unlock will it damage my phone?
The only issue it gave me was wipe all my downloaded apps, contacts, and homescreen layout (everything else was in tact).
I also have some issues getting into the bootloader (sometimes it works, sometimes it dosen't).
I've unlocked the bootloader through HTC Dev, and still have S-On.
I used rev to s-off and tried a few custom roms then flashed the 1.45 euro ruu and then used the htcdev to unlock bootloader againg just to see if it would work as I have a T-Mobile UK branded handset. HTC has 2 levels of unlock you have bootloader unlock and s-off you don't need s-off to flash custom fw just first stage unlock which leaves s-on but you will have a pink bar with unlocked in it at the top of your bootloader. Unlock still has a limited warrenty but s-off voids all warenties

[Q] Unlocking the bootloader without HTCDev

I have an HTC One S and I've been trying to get root so I can flash new ROMs. I have the TokenID string but the HTCDev website is down for new registrations since at least yesterday so I'm stuck at this step.
Is there any way to unlock the bootloader outside of HTCDev?
No

[Q] S-OFF on HTC One XL(SuperCID problem)

Hello,
Recently, HTC One XL can be s-off:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2155069
It needs a rooted One XL and a One XL superCID.
Problems comes out:
I am running 4.1.1 STOCK ROM on my HTC One XL(ASIAN VERSION, NOT AT&T/Rogers/Telstra), i've tried to gain SuperCID with these methods:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952038 (It fails on running /data/local/tmp/pwn, and CID was not changed)
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/21044952/OzMod/Spoof-CID_TELSTRA.zip (This is for TELSTRA XLs only, but seems that it requires a rooted XL)
My phone is NOT ROOTED and have the original CID(HTC__622)
So how can i SOFF my One XL now?
Thanks.
First off go unlock your bootloader at HTC dev .com than go flash twrp than flash a Rom than do supercid
I'm going for S-OFF because i don't want to unlock my bootloader.
If i am going to unlock my bootloader, i will not S-OFF my device.
Unfortunately for s off we have to be rooted/bootloader unlocked it gets su permissions in the last step of s off process which is quite simple but a requirement is unlocked bootloader and root.. so the only way to do this on the one cl is to unlock your bootloader at HTC dev.com than blah etc... You could relock your bootloader right after s off

With s off you can set your bootloader to say anything you can put it back to "locked" instead of relocked

Just remember s off is security off . You can access every partition yoou would like
i see. So is there any guide i can make an unlocked bootloader to "*** LOCKED ***", even when HTC repair my phone, they cannot check it?
Just did a quick research, i found that some previous HTC phones can restore their Offical Unlock Bootloader State to "LOCKED" after then achieved S-OFF
But yes you can set up everything back to normal you can have it say locked and s on..but still be s off
Never mind

[Q] HOX AT&T Update

Hello, I have my HTC One X of AT&T unlocked by code through AT&T. It´s Rooted and it´s Bootloader is unlocked and also has the CWM Recovery installed. Never flashed any ROM, it still have the Original ICS ROM, it´s S-ON. Can I update it manually or would I be bricking it?
I was going to follow this tuto http://www.titularesandroid.com/2013/03/actualiza-tu-htc-one-x-at-jelly-bean.html?showComment=1364530268627#c3645276792953205699 but it says that it shouldn´t have "SuperCID and S-on" I don´t have SuperCID because I legally unlocked it, my doubt is about S-on, should I be S-off? If I have to, how do you do it? Thank you.

I would S-OFF. I can explain the steps I took but it may have been a bit overkill. I had a 1.09 hboot so I didn't want to take any risks. I'm on Telus which is only up to 3.17. I'm not sure how 3.18 would go as I understand AT&T has put a mechanism for checking with AT&T over the network. Nevertheless.
- I downloaded the RUU for my phone which was in my case a TELUS RUU 1.91.661.4 and then I extracted the rom from the RUU and the Hboot from the ROM and I flashed the stock Hboot.
- I Booted into the bootloader/fastboot and then I changed my CID back to default, in my case TELUS001. (I don't think you need to do this with S-OFF but it takes less than a minute to do)
- Rebooted back to bootloader/fastboot and ran the RUU
- When the RUU was done I was on ICS.
- Re-Unlocked my bootloader (I'm not on AT&T so no need for Super CID for me, was just to get S-OFF)
- Flashed TWRP
- Boot back to rom to get OTA
- After OTA was done, Booted to TWRP to root stock then nandroid backup for good measure, then flash whatever

SuperCID has nothing to do with SIM unlock. SIM unlock of course allows you to use the phone with another carrier's SIM. CID and SuperCID relate to the HTC firmware such as RUUs and OTAs (typically only allows you to install software intended for your carrier version).
If your phone is the AT&T version, and its bootloader unlocked it must be SuperCID. Period.
SuperCID + OTA = brick
SuperCID + RUU = brick
That is, unless you have S-off. So do the facepalm s-off if you want to RUU or OTA.
Another approach is just flash a stock rooted Jellybean ROM, or a custom ROM based on the AT&T update, such as CleanROM 6. These can be found in the Development forum section.
Get SuperCid,S-off, you are already unlocked but when you get those just ruu to the current OTA and wallah.
so philohtc are you now s-off with jb update?
Not yet, but I'm not 100% sure yet, still having doubts. Because I remember when unlocking the bootloader the CID was all in 1. So how do I put the original CID ? My steps would be the following (Please correct me if I am wrong): 1st- Facepalm S-off 2nd- SuperCID? 3rd- Update through HTC Software Device?. Please give me all the warnings so I don´t brick my phone, thank you!
Boot to bootloader/fastboot.
Do fastboot oem readcid
This will tell you your Cid
If it's 11111111 or 22222222 then proceed to S-OFF.
If not, proceed to SuperCID then S-OFF
Once your S-OFF, Run the RUU
If you want to be anal like I was, after s-off, before running the ruu, you can change your Cid back to an at&t Cid using fastboot oem writecid xxxxxxxx where the X's are the default Cid. I don't know it for at&t by heart.

Bootloader unlock problem

I a sensation xe 1.27 build stock, I think its the turkish version as I bought it on ebay. I have tried HTCdev with no luck, I have tried Juopunutbear S-OFF NO HTCDEV UNLOCK | ROOT (1.2x HBOOTS)--NEW: ONE CLICK ROOT it is now linux only. I know there has been a lot of problems with HTCdev, so wondering has anyone figured a way to to fix the problem. Thanks
If you can't HTCdev unlock that probably means that the motherboard was replaced. Your only hope is to do s-off. If you need the windows file for jb s-off I can send you a pm. Otherwise you can try installing Ubuntu on your PC and attempting to do it via Linux.
