Hello people.
I have a downside and I hope someone can help me.
My Xperia L for days inexplicably fails to finish the battery, I mean going off without at least get to 15%, in fact when I was off by indicator I still have 40% charge.
I've done everything imaginable, battery calibration, delete usage statistics, I tried several ROM and finally bought a new battery, but did not solve the problem.
That is why I come to you hoping that I can tell if someone else has had this problem and know how it solved.
Thank you...

Hi,
If it's a custom kernel, then you should be able to change the clock speed.
Go to the market and look for System Tuner or Setcpu.
Have a play.

My device was doing the same thing when I was using a stock battery. I changed out my battery to Anker now it never gets hot like that! My device was getting so hot it almost could not be touched! I was afraid I was going to melt my sd card! After I switched the battery out it solved the problem for me. I'm a heavy user too and its never done that since! Perhaps this might help you also? It's worth a try. It worked for me. I couldn't stand it getting so hot it really scared me. I'm so glad the issue is resolved now. Hope this helps you. I know it fixed my issue. Can't hurt to try. Best of luck to you!
It seems my issue was the stock battery. Perhaps the battery is your issue also? If so its a easy fix. Get a long lasting battery like Anker and you will be set.

thnx for idea!! i'll buy it next month... tell me please if had a touchscreen problemm with stock battery?
No I never had a touchscreen problem just got really really hot so hot I could barely Touch the screen! At one point I thought it was going to melt my SD card, but the screen stayed responsive. It still really scared me.
You would think the longer lasting battery would get hotter but that's not the case . Thank God getting the new battery stopped that. I really think I had a faulty stock battery not only did it get burning hot it would only last about 2 1/2 hours! It was ridiculous! I'm so glad I got rid of that battery!

Hi everyone, my desire s is acting strange since few days back.. it keeps on restarting for no reason. At first I thought its due to kernel updates to modified kernel 3. But then I installed reaper gingerbread. It restarted when I opened camera.
Then I installed Nik's project x . Still same problem sometimes when I open camera or other heavy application.
It restarts continuously 5-6 times without completely booting and battery drains to 10-15% from 80-90% within 5 minutes..
I've not got this problem when in charging mode..
I'm now using ice_ds 4.3
If anyone have same problem before , is there a solution to this?
Thanks in advance..

I get this too on all custom ROMS.. sometimes if I knock the phone a certain way it resets.. so it must be hardware related.
Can you let me know what your 'SOLUTION' is? All I see if the cause. Thx

my solution: buy new battery
Put a bit of paper between the battery and the holder clip, that fixed it for me to keep the battery in place.
I have an o3d that has a battery percentage problem it displays what it wants when it wants. Such as 70% one minute an 5 mins later its gone to 0% and shut down making it useless unless on charge. It is not a bad battery as i have 7 various batterys that work fine in my other o3d. I have tried the battery calibration apps which delete battery stats .bin and big surprise it did nothing. So i used link to sd to freeze power off
.apk and now my phone stays turned on even when at 0%! This does cause a couple of problems though such as going through usual shutdown precedure only reboots phone (i dont mind though this is handy to reboot). If you reboot whilst percentage is low it wont restart without inserting charger. Phone can still be turned off by holding power button for approx 10 seconds. The worst problem is when 0% is reached the status bar usually force closes (which is a real pain using android without status bar). And camera and a few apps wont work as battery is always low but at least i can use phone. I have learnt so much from xda so i thaught i would share this in case it can help someone. Please share if this was helpfull and if you have any tips on how to fix errors caused by this.

And also if anyone knows what may be causing my problem in the first place any help would be greatly appreciated. I have already tried a re flash of standard rom and a couple of different custom gb roms. And a custom kernal. I am currently trying to work out how to flash ics to try and fix this properly. I do not know how this problem first occured as i brought this phone off ebay second hand. The problem first occured when this phone was unlocked so i was told. I did notice that even though it was sold as o3d and the sticker on the back confirmed this, that it said p925 in about phone not p920. Not sure if this is related. So again if you have an un-usable phone i hope the above can help you out. And thanks again to anybody that could help fix this once and for all.

Hi All,
PFA.
I faced the following moto g battery issue the last night, I noticed that battery went down from 40 to 1% all on a sudden. I dont know why that happen. I attached screenshot also.
Did anyone facing the same issue? If so could you pls help me in fixing this. Thanks in advance
Is this the first time that something like this has happened? Because it has happened to me in the past with my moto g as well as my note 2 (once or twice) I don't know the exact reason behind it. But it must be because of some app or process that has been running in the background and eating up the battery I would like to advise you to ignore this and keep restarting your phone in every day or two if this problem persist then remove any third party app. And if you are rooted then you must check your battery usage using wakelock detector. Kindly tell me about the future updates.
