Boost moto g unlocked bootloader stuck at activation - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an unlocked bootloader Boost Moto G that I used on page plus for sometime
It recently updated to Lollipop and I did a factory reset to clean it off to use as a WiFi only device. Now I am stuck in the activation process. Any way around this? Thanks!

Motorola boot services update

I just saw a boot service update for our moto g, is is safe to update after removing the warning message after unlocking boot loader?
Sent from my XT1032
Yes, it only updates the boot animation, boot logo is not affected.
Nuthin' but a 'Moto G' thang
Yes it should be safe.
All it seems to do is add a christmas bootup animation, that will start to appear from December 9th,

You can update the boot services, it has nothing to do with bootloader. Its just changing the bootanimation.
error in downloading moto mobility apps.

I rooted my moto g today and was updating all my apps. all my apps update without any problems, except motorola mobility(used in moto assist) and motorola boot service, though moto assist and other moto apps like camera and gallery updated without any problem.
is it problem related to unlocking bootloader or rooting the device?
i unlocked bootloader today and also rooted right after it. i am using moto g xt1033.

[Q] CDMA bootloader unlock on Boost Phones?

Just trying to find out if there are others out there that bought the Boost Mobile Moto G if you are able to unlock your bootloader through the Motorola site? If you did this, did you also root it afterwards and what method you used to root. Thanks!
Cheers.

[Q] Just got my N5!

just got the phone, upgraded from a moto G
Updated it to 5.01
Now my question is, what are the necessities i need to do with the phone now, e.g. unlocked bootloader and then rooting..etc?
Or should i wait for 5.1 to touch anything
Lmk, i've been out of the rooting scene for a while now.

You can do what ever you want to do my friend It is very easy to root and unlock the N5 and when 5.1 comes and you want to try it out, you can always flash the factory image.

First thing I'd do is unlock the bootloader. That wipes your device and might as well as get that out of the way before you load a bunch of stuff on it.

Moto G LTE cricket unlock bootloader

I notice that the Moto G LTE from Cricket wont permit the Bootloader to be unlocked.
I am wondering, if you have your Cricket Moto G LTE unlocked (by this i mean sim unlock, not bootloader) and you then flash another carrier stock image - i.e. XT1040, etc - would it be possible to then unlock the bootloader? (I am assuming that if you flash XT1040 on XT1045 it's the same hardware, the only issue would be the radios..but if it's sim unlocked, then it shouldn't matter)
Or, is Motorola going by the IMEI #, which would stay the same if you flash another factory image?

Also interested in unlocking the Cricket Moto G LTE XT1045 bootloader as well.
Please update if you're able to get this to work.
Pretty sure the generated code is determined from the hardware. So flashing another ROM wouldn't change it.
That being said, I'm pretty sure Cricket versions of the Moto G LTE are never getting Lollipop. I spoke with a Cricket rep yesterday and they said the company had no plans to upgrade. So unless someone here can figure out some magical way to unlock the bootloader, we're all screwed.

I also talked to a Cricket rep yesterday about a Lollipop update. He said it was going to be a manufacturer, not carrier update. I asked him again to confirm because of what Motorola's site said. He confirmed again that it is based on what the manufacturer (Motorola) wants to do.

You can't flash ANYTHING with a locked bootloader. Cricket can update it, should they choose to, but as far as Motorola is concerned, Cricket owns the phone - not you. You can't unlock the bootloader unless you bought a RETAIL version of the phone - like I did from Amazon. You paid a lot less by buying the phone from Cricket and, in return, you gave up all right/hope of having an unlocked bootloader.
And, yes, everything goes by the IMEI, which is unique to the phone and never changes. If it were to change, your phone would no longer work on your carrier. The phone using that IMEI is registered as belonging to Cricket - that's why you can't unlock it on it the Motorola site. For the phone I bought at Amazon, I just went to the Motorola site and had my phone bootloader unlocked in five minutes. If you want a bootloader unlockable phone, you don't want to buy it from a carrier.
Update
I just spoke with Cricket who forwarded me to Motorola who said that my Moto G (1st Gen, LTE), purchased through Cricket, would be updated to 5.X within a month.
I'll try to update this if it actually happens. I didn't ask about the bootloader.

Nice necro but I was aware of that when I posted my response as I helped the Dev unlock all models of the Cricket Moto G bootloader; provided they weren't running an OS higher than 4.4.3.

Just see this thread, -

Another user had the same problem. The only difference in your case would be your firmware (XT abcd 1/2gb) and no. of sparsechunk files present (must flash them all).
