Hello guys.
First of all i want to thank xda - developers for this great forum.
Its the best one ive founded and i am very glad to use it.
I have a modified milestone xt 720 with custom firmware v4 kahlpower.
I also use setcpu to increase battery lifetime.
I try to prevent wasting ressources so i created a profile for setcpu:
If my display screen is off, my cpu will run with 125 Mhz min and 250 Mhz max conversative.
If the screen is on my cpu has 550 Mhz min and 850 Mhz max. conversative.
So when i am phoning my milestone ist very slow , because he jumps from 125 Mhz
to 550 Mhz and the other way round due to the photosensor ( lichtsensor).
I searched various of topics including this issue but did never find a solution ..
How can I disable the photosensor or prevent my phone from getting dark while telephoning ?
Thanks
Trapple
Hi go to settings and click inti display their are different time setting for your light to stay on.
Sent from my XT720 using XDA Premium App
There are no settings
i want my display while I am telephoning enabled ( on)
the sensor is the issue , which sets my display on and off
I think there are proximity sensor settings in the build.prop but I've never tried changing them.
if display goes on i think the phone would get hot and power consumption will up.
btw your face would feel hot isnt it if the display not getting dark while you are on the phone..
use speaker phone or a bluetooth headset if you still want it

I think there must be another solution
Well i am very confused whether our phone has a light sensor or not. In the official user manual of I5801 (English-India), at page number 17, its clearly stated that the left one of the two sensors on top left side of our phone is proximity sensor and the right one is light sensor. If there is one, then why is there not any option for automatic brightness? and what its use is? And if its not there, then why is it given in the User's manual ?
Does anyone have any information on this at all? Was/is there any rom that supported automatic brighness via the light sensor?
So why isn't it included in Samsung' Stock Rom ?
Do you think really that no-one ever try to use it .

There is no light sensor on Galaxy I5800/5801. The proximity sensor is actually a pair of sensors, one sends an electromagnetic/Infrared radiation while the other one is to receive it back for the sensor to get activated.

Wow, this is kinda shocking news!
Hello guyzz hope u r good. I actually want to know that my phone is waterproof or not.
I figured some sensor pressure but i don't know whether it is waterproof or not.
Here are the figures down below
At normal position my device giving me different figures sometime 174 sometime 176 and 177
Putting stress figures increase 4 to 5 points from normal position mean if normal figure is 177 then after pushing will be 181 182 like that
When i release the stress figures got down just 1 point from its normal position like 176
Normal 177. Stress 181. Releasing. 176. Then again normal to 177
Any help would be appreciated.

if you want to check it then remove the usb port cover and press ...you will notice there is no pressure on the scale that means the phone could enter water to it ....but now close it and press again if it is up to 180 that is good i think and your phone is water resistance
but just to be sure do some googling on it
good luck :good:
SO, I have rooted my device, installed xposed and virtual sensors and then reboot it but it still shows false gyroscope. why?

Ok i think cause your Qnet Cyrus had Accelerometer and not gyroscope
It's not the same thing,
An accelerometer is used to measure a linear speed variation.(speed when you drive in car)
A gyroscope can measure a variation of angle.
In some cases an accelerometer can measure the inclination but this is due to the fact that with two remote linear accelerometers, one can calculate an angular acceleration....
Your Qnet Cyrus had an accelerometer but only for measure a linear speed variation.

you must have both accelerometer and magnetic field sensor in order for the xposed app to work, if one of them isn't available, then the xposed app isn't going to work.

ahh, so I still need a magnetic sensor to work, okay
how can I get a magnetic sensor? or can't I?

Idk if your phone have it, but if it doesn't built in your device, then there's no chance for the app to work, variety of devices have different sensor built in with them, you can't install it by yourself because a device have specific types of board and component, if they aren't match, then there's no way it working, if you want gyroscope so badly.as an advice, why don't you buy a device that have gyroscope built in instead of searching a device that have magnetic field sensor?gyroscope sensor are more efficient instead of using software that provide same functionality.

For your post >>>>>>>> go read the fourth post when i ask you your smartphone's brand
You haven't in your smartphone so . . . . .
If you don't have the physical tool you can't virtually emulate with an app the action that is induced by the physical tool

Thermal is not even close, that is deep infrared. Night vision wouldn't work unless you provide your own IR light that produces enough light but even then it probably won't focus over a certain distance cause of it's purpose.
