Love my note 5 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5

So I know there is probably some thread here referring to how much they like their note 5 bit I was a hardcore iPhone user and I'm now a note convert. I've had a couple replacements, and t-mobile sent me a new replacement in a box that I want expecting I was assuming ib was going to just receive a refurb well, since getting my replacement the screen is the best one I have had on a note so far and is build quality is amazing. I love how much Samsung has finally slimmed down their skin and Even with a few small hiccups here and there is smooth and fast. I also love the amount of updates i have received since buying this beast fix almost all of the small problems I did have with it this is the first Android phone I haven't wanted to root just downloaded package disabler pro and got rid of bloat and it's fast and battery life is pretty good and I love wireless charging and fast charging. I'm so excited to see what Samsung has for marshmallow. Who's with me!!!!!!

I love mine, too.

I really love mine!!!!

I love mine the most! :silly::laugh:

Time for a Note 5 love in!
After coming from a OnePlus, this is genuinely the first phone in years that I haven't felt the need to root and modify. Clearly there are some KNOX issues with doing that, but even so I'm really happy with the camera, battery, and general performance. Glad to see Marshmallow coming next month which should make things even better.

Exactly my feeling as well l, I've rooted the s3 the note 3, HTC m7, nexus 5, s4, G2. Etc. This is the only on home where I haven't rooted and felt just fine not doing so

Did you not care about warranty?

You can flash back to stock if you need to exchange. But, I'd have done it anyway. To answer your question.

Won't they notice your Knox has been ticked?

Never have when I've exchanged one. I've exchanged with t-mobile and Samsung.

Not only do I love my Note 5, I obsessively adore it ?!
I, like many xda members, am a total smartphone nerd & have had a plethora of phones from ALL the major manufacturers. And this device truly takes it to the next level! I cannot stop geeking out over it... What the heck-a-rello was I waiting for?!?

Hahaha I'm exactly the same way I keep on cleaning it and buying new accessories for it because of all Its insane potential. This phone is great I love the screen and feel like samsung took a little to long to release a phone that is worth to me buying. I'm actually going to buy another one the gold platinum version of the phone now that Tmobile has it, I'm so EXCITED MY WHITE AND SOON TO BE GOLD WILL LOOK AMAZING.

Glad you like it. After all, it was designed for people like you- the "hardcore iphone user." The very existence of this device is a slap in the face of the "hardcore" note/galaxy users. And anyone with this phone, claiming to be a hardcore Samsung, and is not a developer, is either a mindless consumer drone or a no-nipple having Samsung sheep. SHAME ON YOU Samsung for placating to the soylent green apple fan club... SHAME!!!

Please get that non sense out if here, it's not a slap in "hard core" note users faces, it is still a very powerful phone with great battery life and future proof to and extent. You think because Samsung got rid of a plastic back you can remove and a slot to expand your memory it was an intentional slap In note users faces, i just don't see the the logic. Samsung was imo was trying to get with the times, also every with and exception of a few oems have enclosed batteries and no expandable memory. I think LG is probably one of the few who didn't get rid of it and look how well the G4 did for them TERRIBLE if you read the G4 forum there are nothing going but complaints every where bad screen, bad battery life, runs hot etc. On a side note I'm in software development and thus phone would not interfere in anyway with me using it to help with my job. So shame on sour Note users who do not like progression.

I'm a "hard core user" and it's the best phone I've ever had. I'm rooted, running Tek's rom, Skyhigh kernel.

Not sure which jedi mind funked into believing the removal of features equal progress but you have been severely misinformed. And I know your influence wasn't from the darks side because Apple doesn't remove features, they only steal them from android and present it to the mindless mass as Innovation. Enjoy your sealed battery and 64 measly gb of storage. Just be sure to buy a memory stick to shove up your glass... and while your at it, go ahead and fork over that extra doe for more data bc you'll be spending more time in that lovely cloud... and don't forget to insurance because not only is that $800 device the most fragile device on the market but it also a non removable battery constantly depleting behind that nice shinny glass back... and don't get in the habit of recording in 4k because it will make short order of that 32/64 gb, much like gear vr files.

... and No, you are not a "hard core user." You, my friend, are food. I'm sure Samsung is deeply appreciative of you nourishment; helping them make it through the winter so they can try again next summer ... hopefully learning from their mistakes (ie note 5 and s6).

No one is going to take you seriously with that attitude and bigotry.
On topic: Yeah this phone is a delight. Running the MM leak right now.

Can we keep this thread on topic thank you, I didn't make it to have people come here to complain about how Samsung did them wrong personally. Oh and Bruce Lee Roy you have ever some major issues not a phone that "lost features", if a phone a a thread about how much people like or love it make you this much of an geriatric butthead you have other things you need to be seen for, maybe a therapist will do you some good. Also me and my 800$ piece of awesomeness will have a great time together. While you sulk like a 2 year old.

I had almost every top android device from late 2011 to late 2014. When iPhone got with the program and offered a 5.5" device and 128gb of internal memory I jumped ship for a bit. Just missed the camera, fast charging, and little tweaks you could do with Android so back at the note 5 I am and loving it. Truly disgusted they offer a 128gb S6 but leave the real flagship stuck at 64gb but I'll get over it.
Cant wait for the MM update and the Note6 eventually.

Thinking of replacing my note 2 with another phone

I have sold my s3 and got a note 2 since december from last year.
The reason i bought such a huge phone was for the s pen. It helped me in college for taking notes, but then ive bought an ipad which can work for the same purpose, except without the s pen.
Nowadays im just not finding the note 2 practical for everyday usage. Its just too big.
So now im Thinking of selling it and either buying either an s4, htc one or xperia z.
Can someone give me feedback on those phones?
I love the design of sony phones, but i also cant live without the features of samsung phones
Keep it or you will regret it.

If the size of the note 2 is too much, I wouldn't got for the xperia z. its a bit blocky.
I wouldn't the s4 either. Go for the Oppo Find 5, looks to have decent developer support as well

Why dont you ask in their respective forums about those devices?
And if you don't like it anymore, then sell it and move on!
I am new note 2 owner coming from a S3 and before that an iPhone 4s.
This note 2 is the best device I have ever had.

I wouldn't really recommend any of the devices (I've got my hands on S4, Z and One, FYI) over the Note II. But if the size is bothering you that much, go for S4. It's got almost no bezel, and is nearly the same size as S3. Z is probably my least favorite device of all 3, and it's really a tie between One and S4.
But other than that, many users here have switched back to N2, for the record. From both One and S4.

Personally I would go for the HTC One
It is a stunning looking phone and I personally prefer HTC Sense to TouchWiz. All IMO of course, but if I could turn back time I would have got the One instead of the N7105.
32GB Storage is enough for most people, and the only negative is the non-replaceable super sealed in battery where there's no getting at it without wrecking the rest of the phone. From my experience though, this won't be an issue for the lifespan that you'll have the phone.

This depends though on how biased you may be to a particular company.
As bizarre as it sounds, some grown men actually "support" an electronics company the same way normal people support a sports team.

why is supporting a sports team considered normal and support a electronics company isn't? In what ways does a sport team have in connection with it's fans? Nothing. People support a sport team so that they have a sense of belonging, thus filling the mid level needs in Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Different people have difference ways of completing that need. Some "grown" men support their country and hence nationalism, some men support their sport team and hence the sporting industry.
In fact, a normal person can have more sense of belonging to a electronic company because they can buy shares of that company and become part owner.
If you want to change to a similar size just wait for the HTC One Max or the Note 3. They'll be here shortly. Even the Xperia Ultra Z looks nice.
However If you feel that Note 2 is big for you, definitely try the HTC one. Its an awesome phone. I bet you wont give up that one easily.
HTC One would be the way to go, or a Nexus 4.
However, out of experience I can tell: you can get used to a phone with big screen such as the Note 2, but the other way around.. Not really. When I take my Nexus in my hands now, it feels like a freaking toy. The Note is just boss. Also Note 2 community is very alive (on XDA and beyond too) and there are many good TW and AOSP roms and kernels out there..
Off the record: I even dare to say I have a better AOSP experience than on my Nexus, why ? 'Cause of the 5,5" display..
I sold my htc one and bought the note 2. I can tell you what i think (pros ans cons)
1 htc one is much faster than note 2 and s4
2 the big screen in the note2 is a pro and con at the same time. "Pro" because ots really great to play games and read and "con" because its hard to handle it with one hand. Also the htc one sreen is much greater than the note 2, looks a lot sharper and better colors
3 the battery of the note2 is really amazing, i have gotten 8hrs screen time while in the htc one i have gotten 6+ hrs screen time but sometimes just 5hrs screen time
4 the camera on both are great, i like the htc camera more because of the functions and the quality is really great
5 the sound of the htc one is simply the best, even better than some laptops trust me!!
6 you can install a sd card in the note2
7 you have spen in the note2 (i dont use it that much so to me its not a big deal)
Im thinking in sale my note2 and get the htc one again but its hard to leave the great battery life i get with the note2 so its your choice mate

Because it's usually sad losers who ramble on online desperately trying to defend their precious brands and these "fanboys" have no shame.
A supporter of a sports team usually isn't the type of loser who portrays a sad and lonely one man crusade online to defend his precious brand name. Dunno what sports you like mate, but I go for a few beers with my mates and then go watch Arsenal. It is completely different to feeling the need to ramble on whenever a company like Apple is mentioned.
The fanboy "iFail, Crapple" type people are all too frequent and pathetic and they need to get a life.
As for the rest of your rant, I tend to find the online or technology "fanboys" to be more cringeworthy than the rest. Maybe they're sociallu awkward and need support the samsung or apple team (whatever that means).
The only logic fail here is you telling the op that the Note 3 is the best even though he already said the note 2 was too big for him. I would hazard a guess this is because you are one of these aforementioned fanboy characters and can't bear to see anyone suggest anything other than the Note

seems like you generalise everything you observe.

Next phone upgrade?

Okay I hope I am allowed to post this in general, and I hope no one gets offended by anyway lol
I am going off to college (UCSD) this fall. I am considering buying an iPhone just for the fact that I want a completely functioning phone as my daily driver and I don't want to find myself trying to solve issues during school.
I am asking for some opinion.
I love android and flashing, but I find myself using a lot of time doing so, I dont want to do this and get distracted while I dorm in college and have other things to worry about.
I guess my question is, should I consider a new iPhone, or are the new phones like the s4 just as reliable? I know I'm going to get a variation of opinions, but that's what I want I really cannot make up my mind lol.
It just seems to me that all the apps are more reliable to use on an iPhone since they are developed for that specific device etc.
Thanks in advance for your opinion

the iPhone 5 is great device if you find one on a good price... has LTE for T-Mobile...
the only drawback si the there will b a new iPhome comming out in the nexts 3 month, so if you buy it brand new on a full price, you will lose bout $300 in value by that time...
might consider finding one on craigslis for $400sh, but be carefull, as i just got burned w a lemon last week...
bought a NOTE 2 for $360... used it for 4-5 days and got reported stolen... no service...
going to sell it for $300sh now for use on another Network, and take the loss...
back to the Blaze for now...

Have you considered running just stock on the blaze? If you want real, real stable/reliable, stock is the way to go for this phone. No need to troubleshoot issues, wipe davlik, catlog and that kind of stuff. This also applies to all smartphones. Part of flashing a non-stock rom is assuming that nothing is ever 100% stable, but can be sometimes. Most roms are 99% stable, but it seems to be that the time you REALLY need your phone for something you discover that 1% bug
Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to see what Thomas will bring with all his hard work on CM 10.1. But I just haven't ever been happy with standby battery life on CM10/CM10 based roms. That and wifi calling is a must in my basement (where my home office is).
Back on topic... regardless which device you get running stock will ensure 100% stability, that or running a stock themed/debloated/deodexed rom is also a safe way to go. Not to knock iPhones (they aren't that bad), but my father in law seemed to always be having issues with his iPhone 4. He kept losing his contacts. He just got a 5 a few days ago so I don't know how that will fare... I personally have over $100 in apps from the play store, and I don't want to have to buy apps all over again... soo.... My next phone will be a nexus 5 (got 4 bills saved already!) :good::victory: Just a few months to wait!
So yeah, I would recommend a nexus 5. Just wait 2 1/2 more months... rumors have it dropping in October. Current rumors have it with a snapdragon 800 (double the graphics perf from the 600 and modest clock bump), and a Nikon camera... drool....
yeah im looking to buy a Nexus 5 aswell, but i dont think it will have the latest procesor
its a mid tier phone, i personaly will be just happy w a LTE chip and timely updates...
whatever else they can cramp over my expectations its a plus
PS the Note 3 will be a beast... rumored to have the new flexible displays that you can not break and that latest procesor w 3GB RAM and LTE-A ...

Nexus 5 or LG G2 ?

What's up everyone I currently have a Galaxy S4 for Verizon and unfortunately it came stock with ME7 . Im tired of verizon and there restrictions and I miss running a CFW and having a root. Im more then likely going to T-Mobile and getting Unlimited Data. The 2 phones on the top of my list are the Lg g2 and this New Nexus 5. I love both phones but I do like the stock android from a Nexus. I would love to hear your suggestions even if it isnt a phone thats not on my list. In a sense im looking for a new phone to stick with for a good amount of time. Thanks for any advice and help in advance!

Nexus 5, and it's not close.
I was in the same dilemma.
I decided to go for the Nexus 5 because its a Nexus.
The main difference in hardware between the two for me is the screen size. I wanted the bigger screen on the G2.
But I decided I want to pay less and get a device with better software

The nexus is pure stock android which is fully stable .
On benchmarks it benches better than the G2 and is much cheaper.
If you love stock android then the Nexus 5 is the greatest phone you can currently get.
Tip:
Also don't try to use the term CFW (Custom Firmware), people on xda won't usually know it, use the word ROM (Read Only Memory).
I find this is actually funny because we have root in them and we can make everything read-write

Google never allows sd cards in the nexus devices. They never will. They say they are too slow for a top end type device.
Yea I guess ill have tp get the 32 GB version so I never feel limited for space

The G2 has the screen size, battery and camera advantages which is not something to overlook, if they were closely priced I'd go for the G2. Now if you can get some dough off due to contract extension and plan to stay with your carrier, the G2 can still be an attractive offer. Overall though, buying both unlocked and the Nexus 5 is just so awesomely priced. So it's a matter of looking at your options.

That is what I got. I have a 64gb card in my sgs3, so it will be hard, but the thing that makes it worth it, is how easy it is to dev/hack.
Haha, i was on the same boat. I love the G2 Screen and the lack of bezel. Overall the decision came down to software and speed. I always go with a custom ROM cause i like stock, (yes u can do this on the g2) but the fact that i will be getting the latest and greatest updates first is a huge + for me. Thus why i decided on the Nexus.
I say go Nexus!.
Nexus is looking like a go especially with 4g and unlimited data on T-Mobile sounds pretty good to me so far

How you can be a recognized contributor and come out with such a poor statement is quite scary...
Anyway it is VERY close.
The G2 has a bigger screen, yet only a fraction larger. (~1mm all around). And weigh's in negligible over the N5 yet has a 3000mah battery instead of 2300. Then it has a 13mp camera with the same tech as the 8mp Nexus 5.
The Nexus 5 wins in price (for most, some countries not so much), Software Support (I won't say software because the LG Software is actually pretty smooth on the G2 and the feature set isn't bad, but of course not KiKat, yet).
They share the same CPU/GPU/Ram. The Nexus 5 will likely be quicker due to KitKat/AOSP, but it will only be a matter of weeks and the G2 will have that also so if having it first is important to you, then again N5.
They also share the same radios/spectrums/etc.. so N5 is unlocked vs LG G2 probably/possibly being locked to one carrier. Important factor for some.
Clearly I don't think one is a "winner", I have the G2, and I pre-ordered the N5. I want to check out KitKat and see how it performs/battery life with only 2300mah but KitKat optimized. I plan to pick the winner (for me) once I have them side by side for a while.
Either way, they are most CERTAINLY close. The question is (in most markets) is ~$150-200 worth a bigger screen/battery/camera and the loss of immediate updates/better rom development. In that case, for most, the answer seems to be no.

Precisely why it's not close. Price and software development.
While the G2 will likely have developers to create some AOSP goodness for it, the lifespan of Nexus devices is always considerably longer than others. AOSP never runs as smoothly, with little bugs, as it does on actual Google devices.
If you're looking at the hardware, with respect to no other factors, then it is close. Otherwise, no.

Absolutely, if your only importance is ROM's and having the latest software first, or the longest amount of support for updates, then it is not close.
Price is personal. I have absolutely no problem spending the extra $150 if it means better battery life. The G2 is a battery monster, so I expect to be disappointed by the N5, but I absolutely hope I am wrong. Also in some countries the price is almost negligible. Plus if you have an upgrade and stick with the same carrier anyway, you can have the G2 for $150-200 vs $440 (32gb vs 32gb), so that is another factor. A lot goes in to play for this. Just simply saying it is cheaper is not enough.
When comparing ALL factors though, I stand by my previous statements. Personally I wouldn't let development allow me to be hooked to only owning a Nexus but that is absolutely the key factor for some people, I get that. Battery life is a huge importance to me and until I can see how it lasts with my own eyes I take the specs with a truckload of salt. With a 30% less battery size on the same hardware KitKat is going to have to do some pretty superb savings to keep it close.

If you looked at hardware specs only and no other factors, it is NOT close. The G2 wins hands down if you take out software and price, but that would be just plain silly.
In case anyone misinterprets my statements, I am not saying I think one is better than the other. I think both have their +'s and personally I don't find either a clear winner. That is all.
While I'm still going with the N5 for the rom support, Sprint is selling the N5 for $149 and the G2 for $99 (both with 2 year contracts), so the G2 actually wins the price debate.
Edit: whoops had too many tabs open and got this thread confused with one that was just for Sprint. Still, I imagine TMo will sell the G2 for either the same price or less than the N5 to stay competitive.
If usbOTG is present in the N5 then you can simply attach a microsd card to a microsd to USB to the usbOTG adapter (too many adapters) or simply a flashdrive. While it may be a pain to carry around it will at least extend the capacity.

150 dollars for an extra 700mAh is just not worth it in my opinion. im enjoying a 15,000mAh power bank that i got for 50 bucks and will put the extra 100 dollars toward a new phone in 2-4 years

Well if that were the only factor that is a pretty harsh bargain for sure but 700mah in this case IS 30% larger. That is not small. You also get 13mp vs 8 and .2" bigger screen. Again not that I think it is a winning decision either, tough call and personal preference. I just think it is worth more consideration than people are giving.

meh, you're in the heart of public android development. of course people here are going to side with a Nexus device. not that people here aren't considering the specs, but we put more of an emphasis on the pure android experience.
i feel the same way about people here complaining about no sd slot. this is just not the place to voice that opinion, it will not bring them any sympathy. this is not a consumer forum

[Q] Help me decide my next phone!

Hello guys,
I've been searching recently to decide which phone will be my next phone in 2 months. The parameters for me to decide are, I keep the phone at least few years like my current SGS2 phone and I need it to stay above average. I know I may see better for next 6 months or so but I want to decide in this period. Money is not a factor.
I've been reading about new Knox for SGS5 and every poll in other websites I've read was saying they are not going to buy or they are not interested and disappointed!
I also read about another Galaxy S 5 named F series or Galaxy Prime! It's the same as Galaxy S 5 but with better specs and metal unibody!
I stuck to choose between these:
Google Nexus 5 (32gb, LTE)
Samsung Galaxy S5 (prefer 32gb but if it's available till then, LTE)
Samsung Galaxy S4 (I9505 LTE)
I also created a poll for the ones who are lazy to answer.
Any response, opinions are welcomed.:good:
Thank you.
EDIT:
I prefer removable battery because in my country any official repair center has no meaning and they are all in one that asks money for their services. So in few years period I need atleast one new battery as my previous experiences. And having removable battery is a factor. And having an SD card is but with 32gb version that would not be a huge problem but I prefer having removable battery and SD card slot.
I heard about nexus 5 battery life that as its best it would be average. Having a good battery life could be a factor too.
You want to go here - Device suggestion
Also since you haven't really mentioned any real requirements, I'd suggest going for the new HTC One or the Xperia Z2.

Thank you for mentioning that thread! :good:
I added a few ones now. I don't need all those new gimmicks that new galaxy series are providing but having them is not a bad idea! Also I prefer to feel the phone in my hands comfortably and I don't care about it's unibody or the quality of the body!

Previously I thought who would get Note series with those huge lcds! But now all the new phones have 5" lcd so they all are phablets IMO.
I really don't know about Note series you just add an extra option for me. Yeah the leather back is awesome even the features that S-pen brought if you don't consider the extra bucks for it but I don't need all those feature. I think I would stay with my current choices and won't add note to those.
Thanks for your suggestion I really appreciate it.
LG G2 is a good device. Take a look on it. Very good battery life camera processor and screen .... but it doesn't have a removable battery :/
I would suggest the S5 as it has:
+ removable battery, which is IMHO very important
+ sdcard slot, so no real need for 32gb version
+ water resistance (ip67, half an hour under water)
+ hardware buttons
+ an IR-blaster
Regards!

Thank you for your suggestion. I was exactly looking at this phone on gsmarena right now! It has a good specs but I don't know why I don't like the way it looks! It's way too simple! It almost has the same hardware as SGS5. According to gsmarena G2 has only better battery life in idle! But we can't be sure with an unreleased phone!
It also don't have SD card slot.
If I'm going to add another option to my choices I would go with Sony Xperia Z2! I just love the way it looks and it also don't have removable battery and even SD card slot. lol
But anyways thanks for your suggestion I really appreciate it.:good:

The only things that makes me to stay away from this phone are the Knox thing and many uninterested people according to some of polls on which websites I've read, it makes it less popular and for us on xda that we all use custom roms, this would be a potential issue!
And another thing is the release date on April 11th and LTE version on release date. I want to buy it off-contract.

IMHO it depends on what sort of software you want to end up running. I love AOSP, so I'm planning to get Nexus 5. It's intended to run AOSP, so support, drivers and development will be awesome On the other hand, if you like running AOSP but buy a closed source (e.g. Exynos Samsung) then you're going to be compromised from the start. I see from your signature that you're on Slim atm, maybe keep that in mind if you plan on switching to AOSP.
I do like the look of the new HTC One though. :silly:
Edit: and, it is SD card expandable. No removable battery though.
And you posted this to I9100 Q&A why exactly ? Just because you currently have one is no reason at all, this thread belongs in one of the general chit chat forums, not a device specific one. I'm tipping mods move this.

I've never tried to choose my phone from software view! The only thing that matters for me is ability to root your phone. Cause I'm end up doing it anyway. The software is important too because of development, and new Knox thing for S5 makes it even harder except the fact that it's closed source. But afaik it has snapdragon 801 and they are not closed source, aren't they?
On the other hand reviews on Nexus 5 battery life worries me. Cause they said it would do average as its best and it's not a removable battery. I won't expand the battery but with my usage I end up with f*cked up battery and it needs to be replaced in first two years of use! Having or not having SD card is not a big factor with 32gb nand for me.
It's getting worse to decide a phone.
And looking at Sony Xperia Z2, I stuck between S5 and Z2. Buy with aosp and development of Nexus 5 software, I really don't know which one to get.

I would suggest going with a device that has "enthusiastic" developer's who unlike our poor devs doesn't have to deal with lots of proprietary headache, accordingly my most logical advice would be the Nexus 5, but again its not the high end configuration that attracts me its the dev support and update frequencies so if it was me I would still be happy with the poor mans Nexus ie. the beautiful Moto G, and if I had money to waste I would look at the Google Play Edition HTC One (M8).

Yeah exactly. The only thing attracts me to Nexus 5 is this. It's even easier and cheaper for me to buy Nexus rather than other phones that I'm planning on. But the fact that I need to hold on to this phone in next few years scares me the most! Maybe buying Nexus 5 now and see for consumer advice and reviews after releasing S5 in few months then change my phone again? It would be possible but money wise I don't think so.
I don't like HTC phones in rooting matter. Two of my friends had HTC and after rooting they hard bricked their phone!
I was hoping for S5 google edition? Fingers crossed.

Root isn't everything... unless you want to be stuck with stock ROM and Xposed for the life of the phone, something I couldn't do. I want custom ROMs and especially kernels for my phone, the more the better. What if it's bootloader locked and not un-lockable? No custom kernel for you then. Have you had a look at the N5 forums on xda? More roms/kernels/mods than you can imagine

You are making me to go for Nexus 5 but my heart says go for your true love which is S5.
I think I would wait until the S5 release date and see some actual reviews then decide. If I had a chance to be able to buy another phone in one year period, I'm saying this because if you buy new phone and sell it a week after the price would drop and in my opinion it's a real waste of money, I would definitely buy Nexus 5 then go for S5! Yeah in matter of development no other phone can even compare to N5!
I'm now really stuck between N5 and S5! I know the price is half of S5 but I really don't know! I like the new features in S5 specially the Camera and Ultra Power saving mode. But with Knox I don't know if any custom roms would be available even two months after release!
May I ask why you wouldn't go back to samsung? Just being curious.
I want to tell my friend in US to buy me a 32gb version with LTE for N5 and the same would be happen with S5! And I can see her approximately in next month! So till then I have a chance to see the S5 being released! But right now I'm feeling end up buying N5. lol :victory:

Sadly I've sent it back

Well I'm the owner of iPhone 6s & the Galaxy S7 Edge tempted me away.
But now I've sent it back. Things that I cannot live with & left me frustrated:
1: I'm using 3 gigs of ram before doing anything.
2. The apps are awful. Twitter predominantly, the Twitter app it's self & the shocking others that make you yearn. Tweetbot.
3. Screen sensitivity was terrible, I almost don't need to touch screen before it resisters. How many times a day do I start the camera accidentally & there's no way to adjust it.
4. Finally & this shocked me the most, I can't believe a brand new phone should suffer lag but this thing does.
I will miss some things, the fast wireless charging was a dream the week I had with it. The screen it's self is beautiful & I hope the iPhone 7 has those features.
Gutted I couldn't get on with it, but it's so refreshing to have my iPhone back in hand.
I have no such issues and if I did I'd fix them, which is the beauty of android!
Sorry it never worked out for you,but a week isn't enough to really make a Portlethen decision in Android life. Especially on such a new Android phone which is just finding is community grounding.
hi wafcarl, I have none of these issues with my s7 edge exynos.
Whatever makes you happy man I personally would not swap my old note 3 for the latest iphone (I am not joking..)

The biggest prove is the battery in Iphones 'cause people don't keep it screen on that much. A power user would never onsiderswitching to iOS, atleast not me.

I am still within my 14 day window and I too am thinking about taking it back if Samsung doesn't get an update out that fixes some of these bugs before next Saturday.
I had a 6S+ prior to this phone but before that I was a long time Android user (5 years). I'm not saying I would go back to the iPhone because I missed Android too much but I may exchange it for the Nexus 6P until then next Nexus comes out. The amount of bugs Samsung shipped this with has me appalled.
I can speak neutral here. I love both devices. The iPhone really does just work but gets a bit boring with the lack of customization options. Android is a ton of fun but not as stable as iPhones, though closing the gap.
What's funny is that I've noticed both platforms start to adopt what the others are doing.
What made the S7E so appealing is that TW is really slimmed down compared to the mess it was a couple years ago. iOS has actually slowed down a bit as they've packed more features in.

Thanks for replies, it's a gorgeous phone of that no doubt. May be Samsung will provide updates to sort, that screen sensitivity most certainly. Type it in Google & you'll see it's a major issue. I checked & on Note 4 you can change sensitivity, why they've took it off no idea. Any way, I'm sure I'll be tempted before iPhone 7 possibly with HTC M10. I like look of LG G5 too. Both the current models (M9 & G4) don't seam to have problems of the Samsung.
Any way, I'll no doubt be back soon. lol
