I'd like to get this rugged phone from caterpillar. I don't want the Android OS. I couldn't find any information on it. Does anyone know about this phone? http://store.catphones.com/us/p_cat_store_product.aspx?i=284658
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Firefox OS is only available on few devices. Your best bet is to use this app: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/os/2.5/

Dear XDA members!
I have spent a lot of time searching for answers, but actually nothing worked. Maybe I'm a stupid idiot (at age 71), but please somebody help me!
I have bought 2 pieces of 7" android based gps from a chinese wholesale site. They are exactly the same, only their software is the difference.
I would like to clone the #1.'s whole system OS, and copy it to the #2 device.
Please let me know how can I do that!
Some extra info may be useful:
GPS-PAD-P108 is the brand (7")
ARM11 is the CPU and Android 2.2 is the OS.
Every helpful comment would be highly appreciated.
Best regards,
Daniel
AW: [Q] Help needed! How to clone my existing chinese tab's OS to a same device?
Hi, you had search for a cwm recovery for you pads? Search, have luck, flash the recovery, make a backup from the loved pad and restore it on the other pad.
Maybe it's help other people when you give then specific information over your pad.

I have currently gotten a ZTE Geek v975 with Intel atom z2580 and I would like to know if it is possible to install Windows 8 on it because it has a standard x86 processor. I have already saw and read tomshardware.com/forum/id-1825440/install-windows-intel-based-smartphone.html but it did not go in depth on how to do it so I am asking on this forums on a more in depth guide on how to do it. Thanks
Come on guys. Anybody? Somebody got to have the answer.

About Windows...
I don't know ZTE, but I don't think they would sell it with Android, if W8 would be alternate OS...
So you need some nice Developer, who port W8 for ZTE...
BUT...
Best Regards
Edit 1.
Found Firmware + Tools in this Thread:

Maybe interesting for research about Bootloader, Partition, etc...
Thanks! I'll try it
As a Senior member would you happen to know any developer who would be willing to port it to windows 8?
I apologize in advance if I've posted in the wrong section. But I purchased a Yoga Tablet 2 running windows 8.1 a while back but the operating system failed on it. I'm aware that there is another variant of the Yoga Tablet 2 running 4.4 kitkat with minor hardware differences. I'm looking for a way to install android on it as the only OS. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm also open to using ROMs from CyanogenMod if one could be flashed on as a replacement. Thank y'all for your time.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. The chipsets are most likely different for a Windows phone and an Android one so you won't be able to flash Android on it. But see if someone in this thread knows for sure,http://forum.xda-developers.com/thi...ide-root-yoga-tablet-2-pro-8-10-13-3-t2930428
Good luck!
Is there a way to locate android stolen phone? Using the phone number? And don't say Android Device Manager. It's useless and I've already tried it. Doesn't work.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Locating a lost phone greatly depends on whether you were prepared for that scenario or not. Check this out and see if it helps, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1642444
Hi,
as some of you might know, the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini isn't compatible with Android Studio. So basically, if you want to run a program to test it, you have to save it and transfer it to the mobile which is a lot of work, because Android Studio won't find the mobile to choose as a device to run on. Do you have any idea how I can do it anyway. (Without using the emulator, because it doesn't work, I don't have enough free RAM).
Thanks in advance,
