I apologize in advance if I've posted in the wrong section. But I purchased a Yoga Tablet 2 running windows 8.1 a while back but the operating system failed on it. I'm aware that there is another variant of the Yoga Tablet 2 running 4.4 kitkat with minor hardware differences. I'm looking for a way to install android on it as the only OS. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm also open to using ROMs from CyanogenMod if one could be flashed on as a replacement. Thank y'all for your time.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. The chipsets are most likely different for a Windows phone and an Android one so you won't be able to flash Android on it. But see if someone in this thread knows for sure,http://forum.xda-developers.com/thi...ide-root-yoga-tablet-2-pro-8-10-13-3-t2930428

Hello everyone,
I hope someone can help me. Is that possible to change the current android system on my Dell Venue to another one? I mean can I install the one from galaxy s for example? Because something wrong with my phone and I think a software change would resolve the problem. Please guys! Thx
doing that will brick your phone.
if you need help, you will get the attention you need in your device-specific forum:

thx
First thank you for your answer but I have tried to ask a similar question in the Dell Venue forum but nobody had time to answer. Its running on droid 2.2 now. You mean there is no chance to change the android os from one phone to another?
you cannot use the rom of any other phone for your phone. you can, however, upgrade or downgrade your android version

Hi, One of our games is having multiplayer issues on Google Play due to it not supporting Lolipop.
We figured we would take our Galaxy SM-G900x phone that a client sent us and then using the info that iorya984 posted would do the trick.
Now the phone can still be readied for download with Odin but on boot up it asks for Kies to fix a botched upgrade.
Any help on this would be massively appreciated! We really do not want to buy a new phone. Even if we could flash it with the original SM-G900x rom I would be happy. (save us having to buy 2 phones.)
Cheers!
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. It looks like someone else has had the same issue and has posted a solution to your issue. See this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733083 If you have further questions try posting in that thread as they are more familiar with the device than anyone on XDA Assist.

Hi
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
There's a review thread for this tablet. People have mentioned that a dual boot will be possible. Have a read through this > Windows 8, RT Development and Hacking > Windows 8 General > Cube iWork 8 Windows 8 Tablet Review
thanks

Ok, i'll do that. Thanks in advance.
i looked and looked for my devices the archos 40 titanium and acer b1 a71 on forums but there seems to be no support on these devices, i know they are low end devices but shouldn"t there be more development on these devices because they are cheaper and therefore more people owns them? i really want to put twrp on these devices but there seems to be no support for them. i was able to put twrp on my samsung galaxy s duos 2 which is also not listed on your devices and not supported by twrp too but there was a tutorial on youtube using odin and i was able to put it and upgrade it to lollipop. i hope somebody out here can help me put twrp on these two devices. thanks a lot in advance.

Hello everyone. I'm new here. But I have a problem that I hope someone can help me solve it with. Actually, I have a Cherry Mobile Omega Infinity phone or X110 (my device name, I think). Until today, my O.S. is still Jellybean 4.2.2 and I'd like to have it upgraded but I think Google Playstore and Cherry Mobile hasn't come to put terms to it. Is there a way that I can upgrade or update it without using my software update app on my phone since it always says that my device OS is "allegedly" up to date. Lol. Can someone let me know how to solve my problem? How can I upgrade/update it in a friendlier and nicer way because my brother told me that one way to update my device is to reformat it but I don't wanna do it since it erases all my saved files on my device. THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP ME WITH MY PROBLEM. God Bless!
