I am using sultanxda cm13 ROM but can't get root where the ROM is already rooted I also tried to flash SuperSU-v2.46 but after flashing I stuck in bootloops so please could some one help me I will be very thankfull to them
Did you read the entire first post of Sultan's thread? It specifically says to NOT flash SuperSU. To get root, you need to enable Developer Options by tapping on "build number" 5 times in "about phone". Then back in setting, you will now have "Developer Options" menu. Open that and scroll down to "root access" and enable for "apps and adb". profit
Thanks brother I really don't see that

You all should unerstand that your original ROM does NOT have this option. The post is about sultanxda's custom cm13 based rom.

I am on sultanxda's custom cm13 rom, but after enabling developer options, cannot find root access in there. When I search for it in the settings or in dev options, I see it as a result but when I select that, it opens up the developer options itself. I'm using one plus x, successfully rooted about 3 days ago and flashed this rom.

Hey all so just got my new phone today and I ran into an issue:
Unlocked bootloader = Ok, phone was whipped.
Go flash TWRP recovery in fastboot = looks ok, I even get a "OKAY" and finish time.
Reboot into recovery and I am brought to the cyanogenmod simple recovery not TWRP.
Tried it with USB debugging on and off, no difference.
Any help would be great. Thanks.
Go into developer options -> update CM recovery.... disable that option and reflash TWRP and then TWRP should work.

Hi, I posted this already somewhere else but I still have no answer... when I go into developer options I do not see the "update CM recovery..." option! Why? I am apparently also stuck there in the process and can't go to update ...
For some obscure reason flashing didn't work for me the first time either but the second time (without even booting CM) it worked like a charm.
Maybe the bootloader is not fully opened yet on the first restart after "oem unlock" and needs another power cycle?

Are you sure you are on CM11S and not the "norml" CM? In other words; did you buy your phone from some obscure website like oppomart (also called "scalpers") or directly from oneplus.net via an invite?

Thank you for reply! I didn't know about the scalpers issue until I turned to Oneplus support team asking why I couldn't update the phone, it is this support team who guide me to this website and told me that "China edition can be flashed with CyanogenMod (i.e. getting it installed), and a fresh installation will most likely resolve your problems and leave you with a perfectly functioning One." So following these teps I thought doing this. Did I?? I do not known much about all these steps and languages it's hard to me to do that all but I want to try!
In my "about phone" I do see CynanogenMod Version 11.0-XNPH190 so what does that mean "flash with CyanogenMod?
lost

Hi,
I'm having issues with my OPO root. After unlocking Bootloader, flashing TWRP recovery and installing SuperSu, I installed some root Apps. The first one worked (gave permission), but the second App said I have no root installed, and the first one said the same. When I restart my phone sometimes it works but only for some seconds.
Hope someone can help.

Toolkit?
Did you do this
Disable CM Recovery Protection - On your phone go to Settings > Developer options. Then disable the 'Update recovery with system updates' option.

Hello guys, I'm new to this forum but not to Android. I'm familiar with Samsung devices coming from a S3 mini. So I was wanting to root my Galaxy tab 2 7" (GT-P3110) but don't have access to a computer currently. So I got to digging and found a Chinese app called "Root Master" which worked for the device. I was on stock and it was successful. After doing so I flashed CM12.1 and gapps to then find I lost my custom recovery and root. I tried rooting it again with the application but with no success. Any suggestions/help would be much appreciated.

Oh boy... Does Cm 12 boot? If so, go into developer settings and set root access to 'Apps & ADB' and turn off 'Update CM Recovery when ROM updates'.

Yeah, everything runs completely fine. I just lost root and recovery. I'll give it a go. Thanks.

So is everything working for you now? You can get recovery again by flashing the latest TWRP from @Android-Andi's recovery thread through Odin or Heimdall.
Have a great day!
Yeah, everything is fine and TWRP was still installed so need to do anything else.

Hi all, please excuse me I'm a noob and I have a BIG problem.
I have the latest CyanogenMod installed. But for some reason I have not been able to root my Z3. I powered on the phone and pressed volume and got into CyanogenMod Recovery. But then I don't know what to do. I need to root my phone and I want to use some other ROM than CyanogenMod. Tried UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.16 in recovery mode and also gieroot when the phone is on. But nothing works. Maybe I have done something wrong?
Please, any help will be much appriciated.

If you are running cyanogenmod then you are rooted.
Just enable root in the options/settings

To enable root access you have to activate the Developer Menu by touching 7 times on the Build Number in Settings → About Phone/Tablet.

Yes I know, but that option isn't available since I was running CyanogenMod. But no worries I reverted back to stock rom. So please close this thread.
Hey guys!
This is urgent!!
Since I've rerooted my android with magisk, I've had a problem. Sometimes when I want to install an application of the internet, it won't install. It will download, yes, but when I want to install it into my phone, it prompts me to open it in another app or share it. When I click that, it says there was an error. But the thing is, it shouldn't even ask me that. Normally I should be able to directly install the app but it won't. This problem doesn't happen always, but it occurs now and then and more frequently lately..someone please help me and tell me why exactly this is happening?? I can't install any apps like this.
thanks
my device is also rooted with magisk,i never had any profile.May be problem is safety net, use safety net fix module and restart the device

I download the stock Rom of rjmixm and extract the boot.img.
Then I install Magisk manager and click on" select and patch file". I choose the boot.img and click on "let's go". After magisk patches it, it got renamed to something like "boot_patchedVmK" or whatever. I copy it to my computer and flash it via command - - > flash boot boot_patcherVmK...img". After successful flashing of the patched boot.img onto my phone, I restart it. Then my phone is rooted.

I'd experienced this same "Share" issue.
Go to Settings - Developer Options and check to see if the "Turn on MIUI optimisation" is ENABLED.
I found that fixed the "Share" issue for me.
