No Checkmark When I Send Message via Messenger - General Questions and Answers

Hello everyone! I have a problem with my Messenger - There are no any marks which show that the messages were sent and they can't be delivered. It only happens to this user. I have no problems with other users. I'm using Samsung Galaxy Note 3 running Android Lollipop if that matters. Here's an image

I just realized this as well. My friend just got the Verizon Galaxy Note 2 and I have the AT&T Galaxy Note 2.
I realized that my native messaging app will group the group texts in 1 chat, however, it won't show the name and the bubbles show a play button and says MMS. For him, the group messaging works flawlessly and the chat actually shows the name of the person who sent it.
The reason i want to know this is because I use GOSMS as my chat app, but the phone starts lagging like crazy when people group chat because the text message sends once to the individual chat, then again to group it into a group chat.
Does anybody know how to get the native messaging app that the Verizon Galaxy Note 2 has on the AT&T Version?
The verizon version is running 4.1.1 and my phone (AT&T) is running 4.1.2.
please help!!!!!

[Q] Whatsapp messages containing links

Hi Guys,
Recently, because of a typo, a friend accidentally typed out hand.info on a sentence in whatsapp and sent it.
Now since the phone converted this into a link it automatically also pulled the logo of the site. Now I've been sending links on whatsapp and I've never really seen this happening. Does anyone know when whatsapp decides to pull the logo or an image from the site and include it into a message?
I've added a screen cap of the chat message in question.
Also, if relevant, using a SG Note II N7100 Touchwiz 4.1.2.
Whatsapp version is: 2.11.109

Galaxy S3 won't receive group messages from Iphone 5 users

When I'm in a group conversation with somebody with an iphone 5 it shows they texted but no words pop up. Running moar rom rom. Anybody got an idea for a solution? Thanks
The only solution for TW 4.1.2 that I'm aware of is to download Verizon Messages from the Play Store and text using that. Otherwise, you'll want to use an AOSP JB it KitKat rom since native support for group messaging came in JB.

Doesn't the recent Hangouts update now support the group messaging? I don't use it, but I've seen it as an option in settings regarding receipt of 'group messages'.

"this chat app is neither installed or needs to be updated" - Android Auto on Pixel

"this chat app is neither installed or needs to be updated" - Android Auto on Pixel
Hi all,
I was wondering if more people experience a problem with the pixel and android auto.
When I'am using Android Auto in my car (with headunit), I can play the messages I got with Whatsapp or Telegram, but I can't reply them.
When I push the record button and say "reply", Google Says ""this chat app is neither installed or needs to be updated""
Strage part is that when i say "Send a Whatsapp message to John Doe" it works well , only replying on a particular message does not work.
Anyone knows how to solve it? With other phones I don't have this problem, like the S7.

[Completed] Samsung Messages Bug? Can't switch to Google Messenger!

Hello all,
I'm having this really weird issue where after I recently wiped and freshly updated my Galaxy S7 Edge to Nougat, I started using Samsung's default messages app to see if I'd like it. Well long story short I decided to switch back to Google Messenger like I always do on every device I've owned, but when I install the app, and set it up. NONE of my SENT messages are imported to the app. Only the RECEIVED messages from my contacts. Every message I've sent to any and all of my contacts AND *some* messages received are just completely missing. I have no way of exporting the messages via the Samsung app to then import into google messenger, and I've tried using third-party apps and Samsung smart switch to backup the messages and then restore them, but they all only see and backup the received messages, and not the ones I sent.
This problem is only for the messages I've sent and received since the day I updated my phone and started using Samsung messages. Any conversations older than that, transfer successfully to google messenger.
I don't think Nougat or the update is the issue, but rather with something in samsung messages. I could really use some help! Thanks!
