Hello there everyone,
This is my current dilema, my beloved OPO is having issues with staying on... my average SOT is 3 1/2 hours, sometimes even less, but I guess that is because I'm running stock CM12.1 YOG4PAS3JL, when the battery percentage hits 15-10% it just goes off, when I plug the phone to the charger, I get the "battery too low" screen, couple seconds later the phone shows 14%, no matter how many times I go through a full cycle, this happens, I switched batteries with a spare OPO I had that was bricked, same thing... reflashed stock, upgraded, same story, would you think I need to buy a "new" battery from Ebay, or is there something I'm not doing?
Is the software problem, I have the same issue.
What about a custom ROM? Getting almost 6-7 hours SOT with Sultan's unofficial CM 13.1 ROM on a 13 months old OPO. You should consider installing one.

Yes, you should try bug free CM 12.1 by Sultan XDA. I used CM 13.1 by Sultan for almost a week and found it was lacking some features. Being in experimental stage, CM 13.1 by Sultan has some bugs also. Moved back to Sultan's CM 12.1 and it has everything that I need.

Try Sultan's CM 12.1 and also follow any thread on Battery Life maximization tips. SOT also depends on the type of network & apps you're using.

I wanted Stock CM12 for my LG G2 D800, but there is no official one, the i took research and found the way.
we have to flash CM12 for D802 and then we need custom Kernel, thats all. (your phone will say Model D802 but nevermind you have still D800)
___________________________________________________________________________________
How to get fully working CM12 D802 on D800
1: At first you must be on custom recovery (newest as possible) with KKbased Modem like THIS
1a: Download all three files (ROM, Kernel, gapps) place them in sdcard
2: Reboot in to recovery, Take a nandroid backup!!!
3: wipe data/factory reset, for philz users "Clean to install New rom"
4: flash latest CM12 D802 ROM
5: flash custom kernel (RenderBroken LP-R11)
6: Flash gapps
7: Reboot and ENJOY
Rom D802: LatestCM12-Nightlies
Kernel: direct download RenderKernel-LP-R11 or go to thread
LP-Gapps: pa-gapps-nano
Known BUGS: same as D802
Thanks goes To:
CyanogenMod team for D802 rom base
RenderBroken for his amazing Kernel

Once installed, do you have to flash the kernel every time you install the next nightly build or can you just flash the rom?
Coming from D802 CM 12 Nightly
I was using the CM12 Nightly for the D802 on my D800 with the Bl4ckb1rd kernel.
Is there anything special that needs to be done other than wiping cache and Dalvik prior to flashing this rom?
rotation
So far so good. I have been running Lemonboi's build for a couple weeks with no issues. Clean installed the official nightly and rotation stopped stopped working.

You should flash KK Based Modem, there is the link in my post for that thread
So anyone running without major issues with calls, rotation, phone, BT etc. etc.? Have a stock rooted 4.4.2 phone with TWRP 2.8.5.1 but not sure if any of these 'nightlies' is worth my time yet. Had a bad experience with all these custom ROMs with my Infuse 4g back in the day, just because I cannot be bothered with flashing 10 different zips to get the phone working right.
If there is a 99% stable/working build out there, then I would definitely like to give it a shot though: anyone try the 3/21 nightly yet?
Benchmark scores...
Nice performance so far. Currently running the 3/21 nightly with the 10O radio.
Played around with some of the I/O schedulers. This result is using ROW. Ran NOOP and performance across the board was lower.
custom kernel...
What are the advantages of flashing the custom kernel listed in the instructions? I'm currently running the kernel included with official release 3/21 build.
Im having issues with outgoing calls, im on cm12 10O modem d800. The call ends at 0:00. Any idea?
Edit: found a workaround, change network from LTE to 3g.
Enviado desde mi LG-D800
Skype/VoIP
I was originally running the [CM12 ][ALL-VARIANTS] on my D800 and was having issues with Skype and other VoIP apps. When I made/received a call via VoIP I could hear the other person but they couldn't hear me. I decided to move to this ROM (flashed 20c radio and 03/22 nightly) to see if there were any VoIP issues and the problem still occurs. All VoIP apps have the same result: my microphone doesn't pick up any sound. When I try recording sound with the smart voice recorder app all sounds are picked up fine.
Rotation not working CM12
I flashed D800_KKMODEM_AOSP.zip and rotation is now working on my D800 running CM 12 .
battery performance question:
what type of battery life are you guys seeing? i'm consuming about 5-6% every hour or so. was hoping it would be a little better..
why all CM battery is so bad?
Rear LED stuck on -d800
Hi everyone- anybody else having an issue with the rear LED staying on all the time after flashing cyanogenmod 12. I'm on the 20150326 nightly build.
I'm talking about the light around the rear power button. Mine is stuck on. Can't be good for the battery...
There are a lot of light controls on this ROM and this phone in general. I hate the lights at night when I'm trying to sleep so almost every LED option is shut off on mine.
I would locate the LED notification settings and start by shutting those off. It may also be an app specific notification you need to address as well.

I think Im actually getting the best battery life I have had in the past 6 months or more. The other day I had like 2 hours and 48 minutes of screen on with it being about 16 hours total since the battery was last charged, it was at like 46%. Im impressed, and I watch some youtube

Bluetooth issue and
Just wanted to post a couple of possible bugs...my bluetooth shut down and wouldn't restart until I rebooted the phone. I know some of the other lollipop roms have this issue as well.
The other bug involves the network- mine automatically switched from LTE as the preferred network to 3G. I had to go into settings and change it. I'm a straight talk customer, so I have no idea if that has anything to do with it.
Other than that, this ROM is really awesome.
I'm running the nightly 5.0.2 20150327 build.
I have problem with GPS. It finds the satelites, shows the position but won't update it, the position is slightly off, for like few hundreds of meters
D800 CM12-20150327 and 28 Screen rotation problem
I installed CM12 yesterday (CM12-20150327) for the first time and screen was not auto-rotating when turned sideways. I updated it to CM12-20150328 and it is again not working. Screen is always at portrait; when I take pictures holding the phone at landscape orientation the picture ends up turned sideways.
Screen auto rotate is enabled in system settings (Settings -> Display & Lights -> Rotation -> Check "Auto-rotate screen"). I tried disabling and re-enabling, restarting the phone etc but no luck. All rotation modes are enabled (0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees)
When I turn on Netflix, screen turns to landscape orientation and gets stuck that way. I need to restart it to get back to portrait.

Downloaded and flashed D800_KKMODEM_AOSP.zip as mentioned in another link in this thread. I can't post the link because apparently I need to have more posts in this forum to be able to post links. This solved the screen rotation problem.
I'm currently using Sultan's CM13 ROM and it works fine for me... But whenever I change to any other rom, (RR, Tugapower, Exodus etc.. ) my charging rate will be terrible af like 10% per hour. Means, I'm only able to use Sultan's ROM. Has anyone experienced this issue before? Any solution would really be appreciated. Thanks.

Even I'm using Sultan's ROM and everything is working fine. I had even switched to CM13 nightly and jgcaap ROM, there was no effect on the charging rate. You can switch to CM13 nightly just to check your charging rate and also try to use Custom kernel on those ROMs which offers you slow charging rate. It is possible to increase and decrease charging rate using custom kernel and manipulating some of its parameters.

I am also facing same issue battery charging is fast only Sultan's CM13 tried all official roms including oxygen all takes 5 hrs charging with original charger and cable. However with other fast chargers it takes 3-4 hrs. On sultan's it takes 2 hrs with original. Tried all forum no solution found till date. Mine was Jan 2015 purchase I think its a faulty lot. Was lucky one to have serious ghost touch haunting for months then Oxygen update saved it. Now this charging issue. Anyways 2 days to go for my Oneplus 3 delivery will be checking other forums then.

I also get slow charging on COS13.1 and Oxygen 2.1.4 and I think its a problem with these two official ROMs (never had issues with charge rate on previous COS13/COS12.1.1 and Oxygen 1.0)
Other ROMs like CM13 Nightlies, jgcaap and Omnirom all charge fast as usual for me

Go and report your own thread to moderator so it can be move to Q&A section... Btw, to answer your question, you should try the ROM 1st because everyone has their own preference, some say A is good while some say B is better than A or vice versa... Flash one and test for 3 to 5 days, if it suites your dailies then you picked the right one...
I'm currently using the official cm14.1 nightly but I certainly do not recommend it at the moment. It still has some rough edges to be smoothened. I'm using it plainly because of my personal obsession.
Meanwhile I heard that TugaPower is quite stable and efficient. Perhaps you could give it a try.

Why doesnt someone make cm14 with sultan camera hals?
they are public as well
I loved AICP Rom but last update was a disaster for me (camera doesn't still work even if I've tried tons of apk and flashable versions ; also, the device is getting more slowly) .
So I want to change my rom, cleaning everything and "start to scratch", to avoid any conflicts... I use phone to work, so I can no longer test Roms and spent my time making and restoring backups ( ).
So, my (noob) question is: what is actually the stablest (or with less bugs) and performing Rom (costum/original/independent developers)? And his configuration (in terms of camera, kernel, gapps and so on)?
Really thanks

Short for Resurrection Remix
Hi there. This is my first post. Actually yesterday I have installed successfully resurrection remix 7.1 nougat for yu yunique. Because my previous stock rom was giving me problem like hang, lags, auto restart.. Everything is fine in new rom except battery backup. battery drains very fast. Like within 1 hour battery drains from 100% to 25 % without any use like internet or other stuff. also charging is very slow. It takes 3+ hours to full charge. This problem was not in previous stock rom .. so what is the problem?
Which is best rom for Yu yunique as far as batery back up and performance?
can I install new rom over this Nogut rom?

rr is the best rom for yu yunique , battery drainage is a issue because of lots of features, for increasing battery on time ,disable features that you will not use, like in configuration tab in settings.
now main kernal tweak this will really work -
1. download kernal auiditor from playstore.
2. open
3. go in cpu section .
4. lower down max cpu freq. to 1152 & min to 533.
5. cpu governer -power saver.
6. tick apply at boot.
thats all done.
**dont use other kernals**
reply me back if this will not work you.

Hello friends, thanks for taking the time for reading this.
I recently bought a Moto G3 second hand and had previously installed Lineage OS. And I have been having heating and fast battery drainage issues and i would like to know if reverting to stock can help me with that before sending it to repair.
I have three questions. How can I know that i have stock kernel? and if not, where can I find it so I can flash it?
And, if I flash the factory image, I can leave twrp untouched or i must flash custom recovery?
Thanks again.
Edit: Could it be that it has stock Gapps Package? Just trying to find the origin of the problem.

Install offitial lineage os with nano or pico gapps. Origin can be you are running extra apps if using larger gapps or some app may be causing issue which can be located in battery section which app using more batty or cpu in background

Hey, thanks for answering.
While I was waiting for an answer, I've tried: 1) clean install lineage with the smallest gapps package possible. 2) Trying Greenify and Coolify apps. 3) Installing a custom kernel and tweaking it with Audiutor. None of these have helped at all.
When is Idle the phone temperature range is between 35-39 C and with use is between 40-44 C. The battery last 10 hours or less if I dont use it at all, 6-8 hours depend on usage. The apps that get the most battery are Screen, Android os and play services.
My questions are: 1) Those temperatures/battery time are normal for this device or are they a common malfunction in hardware? (Maybe like S4 mini and Nexus 5x with emmc) 2) There's a chance that with the stock firmware I can get better battery time and less heat? (I've seen reviews that this model could get to the 2 days without charge, don't know if that's true).
I have had either a Nexus 5x and a Moto G1 and they never felt so hot when in use. I don't wanna send it to repair just yet because in my country there aren't official motorola stores and I don't want them opening the screen and ruining the water resistance unless that's the last resort.
Sorry for the wall of text. Thanks in advance.
Hey, I also face the same issues with some custom ROMs . iam using moto g3 2gb ram. I also flashed lineage OS 14. I also had the battery heating problem . but for others they have no issues. I almost flashed all nougat ROMs . I face this issue with some other ROMs too. I always do clean flash, with small gapps. I can't use some best ROMs out there as my daily driver because of this battery issue. Please help
Do you face the same issue with the stock ROM? Which ROMs have you tried? The heating is only in the battery or CPU as well? How much does your battery lasts?
I never tied stock . Iam using AICP ROM now it has no such problems. I had issues with aosp extended and dot os and some Oreo roms too. As u said I am also having 2 to 3 hours more battery drain
Should I try AICP? How much does it solve that problem? I think I've made a makeshift solution with kernel adiutor and lineage stock kernel disabling a core and under locking a bit the others and with a couple of powersaving governor's it doesn't heat as much and the performance it's not too unbearable, but the battery drain hasn't improved as much.
If anyone could shed some light on what could be happening I would be truly grateful.
Yes do try AICP, viperOS or RR works well for me and are stable .. I also tried custom kernel with lineageOS. But didn't solve battery draining . I don't understand why it happens to only some rom.

Thanks, I'll try them later and also stock ROM so I can give feedback about those issues because ins really weird and I don't want to have it with a deactivated core.
Edit: RR has 3 variants, do you mean the nougat one? the last version?
Yes bro nougat ROMs
And RR latest

Hey, I also face the same issues with some custom ROMs . iam using moto g3 2gb ram. I also flashed lineage OS 14. I also had the battery heating problem . but for others they have no issues. I almost flashed all nougat ROMs . I face this issue with some other ROMs too. I always do clean flash, with small gapps. I can't use some best ROMs out there as my daily driver because of this battery issue. Please help

Ok, I've tried and I'm updating.
RR doesn't make my phone heat less and the battery keeps draining also AOSP 8.0. Seems like my problem isn't software related. I've yet to try the stock ROM so I can know for sure.
Thanks for the suggestion mate.
Bro then there might me some other issues that is not related with custom ROMs . Do check flashing stock ROM with out root, and I hope someone more experienced might help you
