I have had my Verizon Galaxy S4 since February of this year. I've been using the stock Samsung AC charger that came with it. It's always charged the phone pretty fast if I wasn't using the phone. It would charge about 15% in 20 minutes. Now it's only charging about 3 or 4% in 20 or 30 minutes. Now I didn't do anything different to my phone. I've been on this same ROM for over a month and this is just now a problem in the last week. My wife has the exact phone and charger that I have and when I use her charger it charges just as rapidly as mine used to, so I know it's not the usb port on my phone itself. I haven't dropped or damaged my charger at all in any way either.
Does anyone have any ideas about why this is happening?
If it charges fast on you wife's charger you've pretty much answered your own question.
Try using her cable with your charger, if it still charges slow then get a new charger.

I had the same problem too ! Did a full battery reset and everything is going good now !
You have to charge it for 12 hours and drain your battery until your phone don't boot. Charge it and here you are !
Yeah these devices act funky every blue moon. My wifes didn't even recognize ANY oem charger for a week. Only detected others as USB devices causing slow charge rate. Removing dust, component cleaner, fresh install, all did no good. Eventually it just resolved the issue itself. All chargers work normally again.

I also had the same problem before. I'd been using the original charger and usb cable and noticed that charging takes a lot of time than normal.
I found that it's on the usb cable. I accidentally found it when I used gsam battery monitor. It displays the current being received by your phone when charging. Using the original usb cable, it only gets around 600mah. I tried another usb cable (from a previous Samsung device) and now my phone gets 1,900mah (closed to the charger output of 2,000 mah).
Every since I changed the usb cable, my charging is fast now. Hope this helps.
I would try a new cable and Charger that is rated 2.1 amps or better if will be charged real quick

I noticed that using the Pure Nexus rom my charging time became significantly faster. In fact I can get a full charge from nearly dead in just over an hour. This is using the charger and cable that came with the phone.
I had the same problem too ! Did a full battery reset and everything is going good now !

How do you make full battery reset?
The charging rate is based on the output rating of the charger, which is determined by the resistance value between the Data+ and Data- USB pins. If you use a cheap cable with high(er) internal cabling resistance, that will throw off the detected charger output capacity rating, and knock you down to a lower charging current and longer charging time.
Also, one time, even with the original charger and original cable, I couldn't charge at anything more than the default USB 500mA. I ended up having to power off the phone, and power it on again, which fixed the charging current and speed problem.
Install this app & check if it is getting charged at max current; anything less than 1200 mA when screen on & 1900 mA when screen off, you need to change your cable or charger

I've owned three nexus 5's and I just bought a 4th and I notice that the back makes a slight buzzing sound when charging. I know the LG wall chargers make a sound but this is coming from the device itself. Only happens when charging and the phone keeps a good charge so I don't thinks it's a faulty battery.
Sounds like it's coming from the middle to top part of the rear, where the battery connects to the logic board. Could it be a faulty battery, just a transformer or something more serious?
Also I left it charging for 7 hours overnight, no issues.

For me it has no noise while charging, but the charger gets very very hot. Pay attention to your device while charging, check if the device or the charger temperature is higher than it was supposed to. For me the charger might get to 70ºC, it almost burns my hand sometimes mainly if charging 2 devices at once.
Have you tried plugging in a headphone to it and see if the noise goes with the audio?

The charger is fine and the buzzing/humming sound isn't coming out of the speaker, it's coming from the rear of the phone itself. Temperatures for phone and charger are normal.

I brought a Samsung wireless charger. The first few days, it worked flawlessly, but today when putting the phone on at 27%, when it hit around 85-90%, it started saying "Wireless charging have stopped" even tho it still charges. It's annoying, cause the screen light up, it vibrates and I get notification about it, but it starts charging right after?
Do you think this is a phone or wireless charger problem? Also, will this hurt my battery in any way? I mean if I leave it overnight, would it hurt the battery that the battery start charging, stopping again and then start again? This is around every sec or so.

Sometimes, that charger is finicky. You need to position the phone just right, and if it slides a little bit, it can start connecting/disconnecting. When it does that, try just picking it up and setting it back on the charger. I try to put just above center on the phone over center of the charger.
samsung S Charger Wide works
I bought the Samsung S Charger Wide qi charger, it predates the S6 round charger. It's also cheaper, although it does not come with a plugpack or USB cable. It needs a 2A charger (such as the one which comes with the S6). It charges easily even with the Samsung S View case in use. This older charge is about the size of Note. It has a slight lip making it harder for a phone to slip off.

No. It is a lot slower although the difference is much greater if your battery is very depleted. The performance gap is lower as the battery charges because the fast charger 'slows' down.
It's charging at 927mA according to GSam Battery at about 80%. That's not too bad.

hits 100% the phone beeps and turns on. Depending on the wireless charger I use this repeats after a few
minutes which is really annoying especially at night. Does anybody know how to stop this.

Which charging pad and station you bought?

It's because the phone disconnect and connects itself everytime..
Looks like a quality issue of the pad for me
On Amazon more people complain about this problem
I'm wondering if anyone has run into the S22 Ultra problem where the battery drains faster than it can be charged. I'm using Android Auto on my car's screen, so AA is active while I am driving and navigating. The S22U's screen is off. It doesn't matter if I am using wireless AA with a phone holder with built in 15W wireless charging, or wireless AA and the phone plugged into an AC fast charger, or wired AA with my phone plugged into my car's USB C port, the battery on the phone will actually drain faster than it can be charged. I did not have this problem with my S21U. With that phone, after a 3 or 4 hour drive, the battery would be at 100%. With the S22U, it would never reach 100%, but be at 75% or 80% at my destination. Is Android Auto that much of a battery hog on the S22U?

Using my S22 Ultra U1 with wired AA always charges my phone to 100% long before reaching my destination. Using wireless is another story. Did you make sure your fast charging settings are on?

Yep, fast charging is on. And I'm using an AC charger that says "Super Fast Charging 2.0" when on my house current. Could be limited by the AC power plug in my car, but it should still charge faster than it drains I think.
Make sure the charger is good and it's power source as well. Use the correct Samsung cable, limit length to 3 feet.
If the device is drawing too much current the power controller will ramp down the charge current to protect the battery.
Some apps can run with the display off without skewing the charge curve if they don't draw too much current. High battery temperature can also cause this.
It could be a glitch or error in the firmware if the current draw is actually low. Or maybe it part of Samsung's new thermal paranoia. Sammy's just full of rude surprises lately...

The car inverter could be interacting with the brick's switching power supply or the power controller.
Fast charging with disengage if the preset conditions aren't met and maintained.

Just checked AC charger in car and it say "Super Fast 2.0".

Charger and cable should be OK. Next time I'm on a long drive I will check the power draw. I have a cable that tells me how many watts is being drawn.

Charging issues can be hard to troubleshoot.
In general these devices shouldn't be charged while in use. The most I'll do is sometimes listening with the Buds+ using Poweramp. The N10+ will tolerate this.
Google Services and such tend to use a fair amount of power as may the modem especially if switching between cell towers.
Once fast charging disengages it likely won't reengage unless the charging power is cycled.
So one high current usage spike is all it takes.

Agreed, I've used 65 watt A/C chargers in the car outlet before and work pretty much the same as in the house. Strange that your phone is behaving this way. I have a 2021 Bronco Sport and the wired (usb-c) is plenty strong enough to charge the phone while on AA. The previous Subaru was questionable at times but usually pulled it off on my S21 Ultra. Any way you can check the charging voltage /amperage while using you phone in the car?

I've encountered this too. If I plug in a cable one way, charges slowly. If I flip the cable 180°, it charges normally. This also happened on my Note 10+ 5G, and I've seen it happen on my daughter's S22 and S10. I think it is a cable problem, because with some cables I have this issue, but not with other cables. Not all USB-C cables are created equal. Also not all car USB ports or chargers are created equal.
I normally use wireless charging and connect to my car via BT though. I have an iOttie wireless charger in my car and haven't run into this problem. I have it mounted so that an A/C vent blows on the phone to prevent overheating from sunlight. I use Waze and Samsung Music regularly.
I have purchased 3 Port 65W charger for s22 Ultra & its charge Super Fast but there is didn't mention anything about GaN, If it won't have GaN then does my charger is useless?
I have a 2020 Honda CR-V and plug it in wired to the USB port and it charges fine. Doesn't drain or anything. I also have a Weather tech phone cup holder where the Cup is sitting about 8 inches in front of the charge port. So I got the shortest braided cable I could find for neatness which is 18 inches in length.
This should not happen unless there's a problem on your phone coz my phone always charges faster than drain and stays at 100% with power bank only(no fast charge), using navigation map and spotify.

Not a desirable configuration...
The higher the cell voltage and temperature, the faster an Li degrades.
Li's prefer frequent midrange power cycling as opposed to complete charge cycles or the worst staying at or near a full charge state.
If the display is on it's typical behavior for charging to ramp down even stop in order to protect the battery.
