What version of the flex 2 should I buy???? - LG G Flex 2

I want to buy this phone but I'm not sure which version is better
I know that the h959 has 3gb of ram and all the other got 2, but i see somewhere that it does get updates very late.
So what is better?

2gb is enough, I have the 3gb version h950... But buy the one that have the bands you use

If you're in the US you need the H950...it has all the primary T-Mobile+AT&T bands. If you're in some other place, probably another variant.
Also H950 has 32GB storage over 16GB on one of the international/Korean ones. Remember microSD cards are slower than internal storage...

Yeah but the Korean version has 3 gb of ram. I think that it's more important than storage, but i don't want to wait longer for updates.

US/ATT also has 3GB/32GB. It can flash the PR update, which is handled by LG for Claro - also lacks bloat. At least with H950 B12 can be enabled, some other ones are hidden too.

I don't know anything about the bands/frequencies used in Israel, but you probably won't need the US (ATT) variant. Just Google what your carrier uses first.

I already chacked that,
I'm just wandering if the h959 is really better because of the 3gb ram, or I just go for the h955

I would get the 3gb version. I have the 2gb version and with heavy multitasking I sometimes wish i had gotten the 3gb version. But it really depends on your usage. If you are not a heavy multitasker you'd be OK with 2gb of ram.

[Q] T-Mobile Z3 or Unlocked Z3

T-Mobile Z3:
Cons:
One Color (blk)
Carrier Crapware
Potential bootloader locked (all the other Tmo Xperia were)
Pro:
32GB of storage
Unlocked Z3:
Cons:
16GB of Storage
Pro:
Colors!
Unlockable through Sony Dev
My current dilemma is trying to decide which version to go with. Sony international devices have more support and in general get updates before carrier versions. The only reason the Tmobile version is an option is the 32GB of storage. I play a lot of games and right now I have to juggle with adb backup as quite a few are above 1GB ( Baldur's Gate is 3GB+ by its lonesome). That said, I could titanium backup a game to the sdcard on the go, but that would be a potential PITA.
Anyone make a similar decision with the Z1s and have regretted it or vice versa?
I'm definitely getting the unlocked version. I'll just buy a high quality 64/128 GB micro sd card.

Are you sure that T Mobile will only have black? The Z came in black, white, and purple...
Yes, T-Mobile Z3 is only in the black , you can go and check the Z3 white paper and it's only in black and 32 Gb
There is a different also about it and that is this version of phone support band 12 and that is the new frequency that T-Mobile bought from Verizon ( 750mhz ), I'm sure about the coverage of it, but that would be a big deal cause T-Mobile is really advertise on that specific band for end of this year to increase the LTE ...
So if anybody else has any information regard of this let us know.
The "bloatware" on the T-Mobile version should not be considered an issue. The 32GB of internal storage makes up for that, and T-Mobile "bloatware" is more function than anything else.
If you want WiFi calling, the best LTE performance, 32GB internal storage, etc on T-Mobile, buy the T-Mobile version (D6616).
The only con in my eyes to buying the T-Mobile version is lack of color options. Oh well, I'll get over it and be happy with the black.
Damn. I was looking forward to a green one.
I think the biggest con on the Tmo version is the carrier update cycle. Typically you're months behind on Android updates compared to OEMs.
Locked bootloaders are another big negative as it's useful for development.
That's any carrier, now the bootloader is what I'm waiting to hear about.
Ulockable bootloader = no buy. At least for me.
International vs. T-Mobile: FREQUENCY BANDS

This is important: aside from whether boot loader will be locked or not, or whether getting 16 or 32 GB internal storage is a big or not, WHAT ABOUT THE FREQUENCY BANDS?
I assume that most people looking to get the T-Mobile model D6616 have T-Mobile as their carrier, and would prefer to have the proper frequency bands supported for LTE.
Can anybody elucidate what the implications are for a T-Mobile user getting: 1) the international unlocked version, or 2) the T-Mobile version?

This is what I wanna know, I really want the green color, and my thought is that I'll get the international because I don't mind the lack of 32gb. The international has every frequency the US one does except band 12 and my current GS4 doesn't have that anyway. I don't feel like I'd miss it. I'm not sure what it does anyway or if it would even affect me in MN/WI.
I would like to keep Wi-Fi calling though, and I'm assuming it would be possible to install the T-Mobile ROM on the international model. Is this right?

Hmm, I would think that installing T-Mobile ROM ought to be possible. Whenever I flashed ROMs on Nexus 4 or HD2, there was always a way to restore factory ROM settings.

So you guys are saying that there is not a "Sony" version for the US for the Z3 as it is for the Z2? I mean, you can buy the Z2 on Sony web or retailers, and it is pretty much the international version but works great in the US... So, are you saying that only a T-Mobile (and yes maybe Verizon, Sprint, etc, etc) will be available in the US and not just the "Sony" version?

Only 2GB of RAM

Pretty much all the specs that i read up til the phone being released where saying that there were two versions 16/32GB with 2/3GB of RAM. and i noticed my 32GB Flex 2 only has 2GB of RAM. but is the 2GB DDR4 upgrade better compared to 3GB or DDR3?
thanks guys
This is something I'm really confused about. I was going to buy the g flex 2 sim free here in the uk, but can only find the 16gb with 2gb of RAM. Is the 3gb version available in UK/Europe? Also, does anyone know if the European 32gb version work in the UK on 4G?

from what i was told by LG's BS customer service department that all of the G Flex 2's are only 2gb of DDR4 RAM.. but what i dont know is 2gb DDR4 better and faster than 3gb of DDR3
and what else confused me was that all during the CES show and everything else i read, said that it would have 3gb of RAM. so this has me confused and now im not sure if i will even keep the phone.
So... 32GB 3RAM LG G Flex 2 does exist! But not in...
US
UK
Korea
Hong Kong
But in Philippinse...?!
What kind of logic is this?!?!?!?!
I mean they did this with LG G3. They launched 3GB RAM G3 in Korea only and mobile geek did a test between the 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM. It showed that there was a bit of difference between the two in various benchmark tests... I really want LG G Flex 2 RED 3GB RAM!!! Why is it so hard to buy one?!?!?!?

my LG G3 had 3GB of RAM, but I have contacted LG several times and I keep getting different answers and its really starting to piss me off. I just dont understand that at the CES show they told all the reporters and everyone who was doing a show and tell on the phone, they all said there would be the 2gb and 3gb versions. So who the hell knows whats going on....
This happens with samsung as well. Korea is their test bed for devices and they tend to get slightly higher specs than the rest of us in the uk and us.
Could be down to the advanced lte modems they have in the korean model that they need the extra 1gb but to be honest ive not noticed any lag or ram issues on my uk model with 2gb ram.

Yeah thats true for Samsung... but this time LG is saying
16GB will have 2GB RAM
32GB will have 3GB RAM
But the Korean model... or US or Hong Kong 32GB versions doesnt have 3GB RAM
2GB RAM might not be a problem for now but a year later when Android OS 6.0 is out 2GB RAM wont be enough just like how 1GB RAM have difficulties running 5.0 perfectly with lots of apps.
I just dont understand why LG would lower the RAM for its "first SD10 Flagship phone" compared to its competitors like HTC M9 or Samsung Galaxy S6 or Nexus 6 or Huwawei or Meizu! EVEN OPO has 3GB RAM. At least give us a choice for 3GB RAN u know?

Who is everyone else? HTC M9 and Samsung Galaxy S6 have DDR4 3GB RAM. ASUS Zenfone2 even have DDR4 4GB RAM. True Nexus 6 has DDR3 3GB RAM but that was released last year. So I don't think there is point in comparison between DDR3 3GB RAM vs DDR4 2GB RAM. But I can tell you that DDR3 vs DDR4, DDRV4 is FASTER to process information through but ovusly 3GB RAM vs 2GB RAM, 3GB RAM can TEMPORARY store MORE stuff.

Reliable retailer for 6x 64gb models

Hi all,
Anyone know of a reliable retailer that ship to Europe that sells a grey model with black front and 64gb storage?
If I have 64gb internal storage I would be able to use dual sim rather than filling the second slot with sdcard. But this model is unavailable in Europe as far as I can tell.
Thank you for your help!
The second slot is only 2G
AS per my knowledge, that model will be available only in China. It wont be released anywhere.

I don't think 64gb variant will be released. However if the bands in your country matches with the supported band by that variant, you can buy it.
Also remember that the devs for this variant will be available only in Chinese forums.

Possible to get Global version for use on US Carriers?

hi i'm still running an M8 but the U11 looks like finally the phone that will trigger me to upgrade. I'm confused about how the US versions will be getting 4GB RAM 64GB storage, while the international versions will get 6GB RAM 128GB storage.

Wrong information mate. All countries will get the same 4GB RAM/64GB internal configuration. Only difference are Taiwan and China were HTC will ship an 6GB RAM/128GB internal version as well. If your not running dual SIM the 64GB variant would suffice I think. But if you really want the larger storage you'd have to import it. Don't know if all US bands are present on this asian versions and if it'll run on AT&T though.

Gotcha. Well thanks for the info. I won't need dual SIM and use an SD card so I was really just interested in getting 25% more RAM if it wasn't hard to get an international version.

Not necessary to have those extra juice. Didn't make a lot in terms of performance on such a phone. Especially as long as it is driven by such an SoC and very well done software optimization.

Watch out for the dual sim variants. They don't have all the US bands.
I was kinda bummed about this too, but at least we have an SD card slot and HTC doesn't bloat the hell out of their phones with crap like "Touchwiz" so I think it wouldn't make much difference.

Hey Guys,
Have not been able to locate the 12gb ram version of the motorola G100. Anyone have a clue where to get one?
All I keep seeing is the 8gb version.
Thanks

Here in Brazil Motorola brings only the 12/256 version, we don't have the 8Gb version here. But, price here is a problem, cause Moto G100 here costs aroun 500~550 USD.
I bought my Edge S from AliExpres for 300 USD (8/128).
@danilocps87 Yea I think the 12gb is for Brazil only. I dont know why they do that.
So hard to find a decent phone that has 12gb ram, SD card and headphone jack that doesnt cost a kidney (Sony Xperia 1 III)
