My name is kedar.
I have a spice stellar pinnacle mi 530 handset and i basically want to root
this handset for more application purpose but i am a bit afriad of doing that since i dont have the drivers for the same device
and its a brand new 1 month old device which i dont want to brick it.So if anyone can provide me with the drivers for spice stellar pinnacle mi 530 for it so it would be great for me because i searched a lot over the internet but couldnt find any help online.plzzzn begging you all.Also this is my first step towards a forum and i have joined it to be a part of it for developments in the phones that taking place.I like customization a lot and want to install more apps in it to take the full advantage of the inbuilt storage it has (16gb).plz help me with this..i want to root this device as well. suggestions anyone???? would b gr8....

hello sir.i tried searching for the drivers for the same even on their spice official website but, unfortunately there are no drivers for my handset (spice stellar pinnacle mi530).Infact when you go in the software section there is a dropdown list which appears in the drivers section and there are all handsets included but only my particular model isnt listed in that list.This might be because they have just launched the handset so they might be planning to upload the drivers little late.Dont know the reason exactly.But i want to root the device so that i can install more apps over it to unleash the rooted experience.also since this is my first time to root a handset. I love my handset n the way it works.Alsi this handset is having a battery temperature issue, which heats up constantly after each usage or even in the sun, and the 2300 mah battery ideally should last atleast a for a days work but my handset heats up a lot and doesnt give me that battery backup which should last longer.So plz help me with this issue too.

first of all thanks a lot for providing me with the website details for the following device drivers(spice stellar mi 530) that i was searching for
over for almost two days.I think i have got those drivers for my handset so my issue is 50% solved, but i am still not aware of the rooting process
for my device.i searched over the internet for my device specifically about the custom rom that i should install, but couldnt get any help and as well am yet m not sure about what procedure to follow while rooting my handset.What i want to ask is that can any CWM rom be flashed into my handset and will it function? and if not then which rom to flash in my handset to make it function?.Also with it my handsets stock ROM supports many lock features that company has provided, for ex:slide lock,Facelock, pattern lock, pin lock, gesture lock and password, so if i flash another ROM into my handset then will i be having the same functions that i have rightnow, cause the spice company has provided a lot of other options too with this handset so i dont want to loose these tools and locks since i love these kind of locks which are already stocked with it.So what should i do.Also please tell me how to save my existing ROM onto my computer and use it for a later purpose so that if incase anything goes wrong, i can flash my existing saved ROM.And what software like (superoneclick) or (superoneclick su) or which other software should i use and the procedure for that as well.please sir.:good: thanks for helping sir

Today casually I was browsing and by accident I say your query. I am providing here with the url where I have uploaded the driver file. I could cull out from my hard disk.

The rooting files for stock 4.0.4 and 4.1.2 is uploaded to the XDA upload and use the same.
I am sorr it is 2 months now. Any how it may of of use to persons like you I hope you might have rooted your phone by this time.
Nohing is original every thing is copied from this forum and uploaded.
To root the phone you take required root files to your external SD Card and unzip it. The same files are I am using since I bought the phone some 7 months. The same 16 GB internal memory and swiftness is liked by me.

Thanks for the post. This is the only post that seemed to help..But i am having an issue.
As mentioned below I have taken the 2 folders META-INF and system and put them in my sd card.
What NEXT...as nothing happens by doing just this.
Seems I am missing something..PLEASE ASSIST ASAP.

I have rooted my spice mi 530 phone and by mistake installed mi 535 rom in it. now its get stucked and i am unable to power it on .....also not connecting with pc
not showing even in device manager
so please anyone give me the solution...

I was trying to find custom ROMS for the Canvas 4 -A210 Micromax mobile in this forum and my search yielded one custom Rom which I experimented and met with the difficulties.
I thought I can try some other custom ROM of the same type or equivalent type mobiles. Luckily I came across the "Thread By: bgcngm" which normally read regularly.
I picked up the V3.0MOD Rom and edited and and experimented with the A210 canvas4. Luckily it gave me a good performance except that of the "Video call" facility did not show up. My IMEI was also vanished. This happended to me on previous experiments also.
Hence who ever is going to use this Custom Rom has to back up there IMEI and restore it using Mobileuncle Tool or what ever they feel easier.
I submit and reiterate here all the credit for this ROM to "bgcngm" and also request him further help us to some more modification to ease the application. I am only a learner and new entrant. Based on my use below I provided the details: You should have a Rooted Phone..
1. Find here the CWM recovery that was obtained using the MTKDroid Tool 2.4.8.
2. Use SPFT above 119. I have used 139.
3. Download the stock ROM and click on the Scatter file. This will load up all the files required for the stock rom. Un-**** all the items. Now click preloader and take your curser to the recovery. Click it and point it to the extracted CWM recovery you have downloaded from this.
4. This will install the CWM recovery 5.5.0.4 to your mobile. Also you can try with Mobileuncle tool to install the cwm recovery.
5.Download and copy the Custom Rom to your external or internal sdcard. The url is here:

Many time i used the the recovery obtained through Mtk Droid tool and it is working fine. I used the patched recovery provided by MTK Droid Tool.
This worked fine. But the recovery saved inside the mobile in the clockworkbackup created some problem.
Patched recovery provided in the recovery file in the MTK DROID Tool is functioning good and I am using that currently. Whether it is perfect or not I do not know. In what contact you are asking i could not guess.
It suffice the need and operation is normal and good like many other which I have used in the past.

I can narrate step by steps. To make a video I may have to borrow my son's mobile.

Gentle man,
Please find the screen shots for installing the CWM recovery on Canvas 4
1. Download keep ready the SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v3.1312.0.139.zip extract it to a separate folder on your desk top.
2. Double click the blue coloured .exe file as shown below

3.Immediately the Smart Phone Flash Tool will pop up. You click on the scatter loading row by taking the courser there, AS SHOWN IN THE SCREEN SHOT BELOW.

4. Once you clkick the scatter file your window will ask for the location of the scatter file from the ROM. Hence you should have the SPFT flashable rom file reaqdy in hand. Hope you will be having one or you google it in this from search and down load and keep ready.
5. Take your curser to the MT6589-Android_scatter_emmc.txt file as shown in the picture below and click it.

6. Immediately after clicking, the tool will download all the required files from the folder and a tick mark will be seen against the files name as seen here

7. Now un-tick all the boxes except the preloader file. Then go to Recovery file and tick it. Now do a sigle click of the recovery file. A window eill pop up and ask for the location of the file in your stock Rom folder. Now take your courser to the location where you have saved your CWM recovery file and click/ open or do a double click. The stock recvery file will be replaced by the CWM Recovery file as seen in the shot below.

8. Similarly if you want you can upload the patched Boot.img file also. It has been recommended by the senior developer of the MTK Tools to flash the patched boot.img also for a better shell performance of the phone. It can be done on a trial and error basis. I have upload this .img also into my phone during the flash. You can do a separate flash or single flash of both the files together. No other files are required.
9. After ticking stay awake and usb debugging in your phone your put off your phone. Remove the batter. Connect the phone to your PC/ Lap top using the USB cable provided along with the phone. After connecting your phone now put your batter into the phone again. For some PC or Lap top you may have to put after clicking the download button. It depends on how you have installed the drivers or framwork of driver loading. Normally I connect the batter before clicking download section.
9.After downloading the required file, just look above the 5 white rows of the SPFT tool you can notice, four different components, vice ----Format----, firmware upgrade-----, download------- and DA DL all with check sum. Just click on the Download section there as shown in the pictures below

a window will pop up asking you yes or now withe warning as seen in the above shot. Ignore the warning and click yes.
10. Depending up on the RAM and other features of your PC/Laptop first yellow flash across the bottom most row will glowing through as shown in the shot below and followed by a Purple/indigo micture glowing flash and finally a yellow beam that ends with a green circle as you seen in the shots below.
Though the CWM and Boot.img file file has already been uploaded by me in this portal for making it holistic I am up loading the files here.

Dear Sir,
I am porting the stock Boot.img and also stock recovery.img. If further improvements takes place. I will be very happy. I do not know how to extract the kernel. The files are in 7z format and kindly extract them.
I am unable to upload directly due to the reasons as below

I installed it but then there was nothing inside the rom.. Even the touch in the aroma installer was not working,somehow managed to install it.
You said you ll port again, when can we expect the new upload from your side which we can actually use not on experimental basis.

The is 547 MB and why nothing inside.
AROMA installer problems is also felt by me. But using volume up and down key and power on switch we have to install the Rom Colour scheme in the touch is not working for volume up and down buttons.
Since I was busy with local works I could not improve it. Developers who are free can attempt it.. For another one week I have busy schedule and afterwards I will try to improve it.

Hello everyone, this will be my first question/post since i just started using an android phone, my first andoid device is Blu studios 6.0 LTE
I am trying to get into the field of basic cellphone troubleshooting and understanding, i have a good understanding on ios, now it androids turn,
anyways i am planing to root my phone, but i wanted to know if i am able to create a back up rom non rooted, (hope that made sense lol)
i searched everywhere and only getting results leading to use titanium backup (which requires root) and clockwork recovery, which i also think requires root
there are some methods to create backup without root, but i don't think my phone is supported (only MTK?)
so i came to the conclusion that there are no methods to creating a back up stock rom of my blu studio? yet?
should i just go for it and root without making a backup?
or am i just understanding it differently, cuz i am thinking if you create a backup rom when you are rooted, you will have a rooted stock rom right?
instead of a rom that will have the fresh os from a factory phone.
is it important to have the clean rom? or it really doesn't matter if its a rooted rom?
also i have not installed driver for my blu studios yet, can anyone link me a good site to download the drivers? i went on my phone's company page, but no drivers.
google searched and the top 2 sites looked really fishy, they all had the same file for all model phone. rest of the search is just people also asking for drivers. . .
i am planing to use the swapper app to increase my phone's ram, its really laggy since it only has a gig of ram >_< other than that no other reason to root xD

first you should write this thread on the Q&A....there is a way to root mtk devices using framaroot which you can find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/framaroot/root-framaroot-one-click-apk-to-root-t2130276 ....if your phone is not a ubifs type system you can easy create a cwm for it then create a nandroid backup.....

i have the Blu studios 6.0 LTE phone
Edit: was checking what mtk devices are, so its model of the cpu? i used cpu-z to check and it say my model is MSM8926
"The models for MTK devices always start with Mt prefix, while that of Spreadtrum often start with SPD or SC." -copy pasted from an article
so i guess it's not an mtk device after all, does this limit my options?

first you should write this thread on the Q&A....there is a way to root mtk devices using framaroot which you can find here http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/framaroot/root-framaroot-one-click-apk-to-root-t2130276 ....if your phone is not a ubifs type system you can easy create a cwm for it then create a nandroid backup.....

framaroot also works with qualcomm device.....
I am trying to put a more advanced rom from your site on to my Samsung 7.7 p6810.
Each time I try to install one I get a Status 7 error.
So far I have tried
lollipop_cm-12.1_20151006-unofficial-p6810.zip
omni-6.0.1_20160115-p6810-homemade.zip
Both have that error.
I started with cwm-20120710-p6810.tar
I thought that twrp might not produce the error so loaded:-
twrp-2.6.3.0-p6810.tar
I am using twrp and that still has the error.
I used Odin3_v3.10.6 to load the cwm and later the twrp.
I copied root.zip to the 7.7 and flashed that with the initially installed CWM
Can some kind soul suggest what I might be doing wrong? I see something about editing scrips in the zip files. I guess I could to that but (a) I am warned it is dangerous if the software is for the wrong machine and that is what I understand a Status 7 signal is saying.
And (b) it is going to be very tedious if I have to edit every new zip file as I experiment with your (nightly) upgrades.
Killing the Status 7 must be the way forward.
I received a nice warm welcome from Brandon when I signed up for XDA a few days ago. Let's hope someone has a nice warm solution.

Forgive me for bumping but the message has had 52 view and not a single post of help.
In desperation I have tried editing those first few lines of the updater script with Notepad ++ but I still get a Status 7 error.
I'd love to post in the Samsung 7.7 thread as it does seem more active but the rules do not permit it. Can someone help me get moving please?

I'll add a bit more information for the support gent, or lady, who takes up this thread.
Firstly I am getting no blue line on the TWRP progress bar - whereas I do on the Restore that I have to use rather more often than I would like.
My error message on a file that has those top lines removed from the script says:-
Applyparsedperms ; lstetfilecon of system/lost+found to ubject_r:system_file:s0 failed. Operation not supported on transport set metadata_recursive: some changed failed.
Then the Status 7 msg.

Sorry folk at XDA. I do find getting started here is confusing. Assist and Q&A for Help do sound rather similar to this noobie over here in the UK.

Flash your device specific custom rom
Re download your rom which may be corrupted shows error
Update your bootloader

Hi guys,
I bought this tablet at the end of 2016. I played a lot with it, about 2 years. I sold it at the end of 2018.
These days i try to make some space in my hard drive, so i delete some files.
I have downloaded on 2016 many things about this tablet. Even now, Onda's official site is in Chinese and i saw that Onda Forum is down.
So i decided to upload here my experience, some instructions and service files about this tablet.
I will upload the files i have not at once, so before asking questions wait a little.

I am interested in reinstalling the os on such a tablet ( I think mine is v5) and I can't find instructions and files for windows only the V820W_DUALOS_V5_32_1605279_20160602.zip(after windwos 10 reset I can't boot windows ,works only on Android). Found solution to recover Windows 10 on tablet but lost Android
Hello , after some more search I found an interesting russian forum with many download links for this tablet. Here is a download link that contains many of the necessary files for Onda v820w from there:

For my case (tablet was reseted from windows options I presume, and was not able to boot anymore just some automatic repair started but did not work) , making a NTFS bootable disk with rufus and copied all the windows files from 10_V3.rar found in the download link provided and choosing ->"System image recovery"->then something about boot from EFI usb drive I remember. And it worked, it managed to reinstall windows and make it boot again by itself.
After succeeding this I became more confident and tried to update the Android form this tablet from 4.4 to 5 as I saw it has everything we need in the above link. After trying different versions of Manufacturing flash tool and Intel drivers for this tablet I managed to connect to it and make it take the provided image with Android 5 from fastboot menu when connected to laptop with the flash tool.
The only problem is it said it does not have enough space to flash system.img at around 84% on the Manufacturing flash tool loading bar. (strange as the tablet is empty,nothing on it, just default software).
Now Android does not boot anymore (haha, fixed something destroyed something).
The questions are:
-Can and how to use the other Android 5 images I found on the russian forum ? They are different type of backup files (with system.ext4.win type of files not .img files that the manufacturing flash tool expects).
From what I've read they are TWRP generated backups but my tablet has the default recovery.
-Can I convert the TWRP files to .img ?
-I found an TWRP recovery for this tablet (I hope) but I am not sure that if I flash the TWRP recovery it will not mess with the windows partitions already working on this tablet...
Here are the files I found and some english step by step tutorial for flashing the Android and a spanish tutorial for the Windows part of this tablet, on my google drive:

I seem to have a similar problem to the one you and POWERSER have had. Please can you assist with the download links for this tablet. I can't boot the tablet into Android or Windows, only the system recovery option is available to me and it doesn't work.

I've sent the download links in private message.
I still did not manage to flash any of the system.img files ( I tried to unzip system.ext4.win images and change extension to .img but it's not working, not valid).
So I've changed the original recovery.img with the TWRP recovery found in the download link, and it works.
Now I have TWRP but with a small problem, it's in russian... now I try to find a way to change language (it's the materialized theme of TWRP 2.8 , and it seems it does't have a change language option)
Also windows 10 on PC needs latest versions of:
- Manufacturing flash tool (6.051)
- IntelAndroidDrvSetup1.10.0
- iSocUSB-Driver-Setup-1.0.4 or 1.0.5 (I THINK THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT to have latest version FOR THE MANUFACTURING FLASH TOOL TO SEE THE TABLET)
Also only connect tablet to laptop usb(in fastboot mode) AFTER opening manufacturing flash tool and AFTER selecting xml file and message "ready to flash" appears.

I'm trying for days to find a way to change a few things but ondaforum is down so it's not easy now.

The first step was to install TWRP to be able to flash Android 5 instead of 4.4. The one I use is in russian for the moment so I use Google translate...
Anyway I just flashed Android 5.1 found on a russian forum a few minutes ago. For the moment the tablet is on the boot anim for at least 20mn...

Hi Olaruci, thanks for the link it was a lifesaver for me
I only stumbled to one problem - for some reason I can not calibrate my Touchscreen. It works, but nither the Touch PG or MS Calibration software helped me...the calibration is just off (few cm gap). Did anyone had this kind of problem and what do you think I could do to solve this problem?
