Hello guys!
I bought it at Aliexpress with super fake specifications:
Tablet Data Capacity: 64GB
Network Communiction: Built-in 3G,Bluetooth,Wifi,4G LTE,External 3G
Screen Size: 8"
Extend Port: 3G External,DC Jack,OTG,TF card,USB
Package: Yes
Supporting Language: English,Russian,Spanish,Swedish,Portuguese,Turkish,Italian,German,Chinese,French,Japanese,Polish,Ukrainian,Greek,Hebrew
Feature: GPS,Multi Touch,G Sensor,Phone Call,FM,OTG,Ultra Slim,Dual Cameras
Memory Capacity: 4GB
Operating System: Android 5.1
Display resolution: 2560x1600
Cell Capacity: 5000mah
Processor Model: mtk6752
Camera: 5.0MP*13.0MP
size: 12.2*21.0*0.9 CM
Well, when I received it at frirst I scan its specifications by specdevice.apk... And what I checked? I checked that at order list all specifications were fake! At real specifications are: Display size: 1280x800, processor: mtk6735m, processor cores: 4, RAM: 1Gb, ROM: 16Gb
Nice? I think too...
Of course I like some programs at android those need "root". So, I find this post and these sentences:
Root access
Usually Mediatek devices come rooted out of the factory with a SuperUser toggle to enable in the security settings, this device does not but I found a way to flash SuperSU using the stock recovery.
This process has been tested but it might soft brick your phone and, as of today, there is no FlashTool flashable rom that will recover a device from such brick state.
Anyway, if you feel brave enough, download this zip (please don't re-host it or alter the link as I would like to track down the download statistics) and copy it to your MicroSD card.
Power off the device and turn it on keeping VOL+ and Power until you see some tiny text.
Select the first option (Recovery mode), use VOL+ to navigate and VOL- to confirm.
Once booted to stock recovery select "apply update from sdcard" using VOL+/- to navigate and POWER to confirm, and select the zip file you copied to the MicroSD.
After the flash has completed you will be back to recovery's main screen and just select "reboot system now".
PS: this zip file should work with any MT67** device running a stock Mediatek recovery
PPS: DO NOT apply any incremental ota update after flashing the root zip, flash ONLY flash tool roms when and if they will be available

Click to collapse
Ok, I thought that I found cool info!!! And of course I thought that without "root" I can't create backup... It was my big mistake
After "rooted" I turned on my device at normal mode and I had only logo 4G
Now I know that the rooted process killed my system area
You know that at zip file SuperSU_Y100_Pro.zip there is scatter file with bad adresses:
Code:
cache 0x6b000000
userdata 0x84000000
but my correct adresses are
Code:
cache 0x9e000000
userdata 0xb7000000
So, if you buy the same device please before making anything with your system, please, create ROM's of your areas
I made this photo when I read logs files at "recovery mode"... The fist column is a start adress of some area, the second column is its length. So, you can create ROM's of all area by SP Flash Toll
If you are reading this post and you have this device, please, will link me your ROM of system area. I need it to repair my device... Maybe you can upload your ROM's at needrom.com or anywhere, but please help me to repair my device.
Big thanks and regards, dfgigger
Sorry for my bad english...

Well guys, hello!
Of course some people help me and I have the working device.
So if you need the ROMs of the device you can download it here: yadi.sk/d/FUZbL2SIm8P4D
And of course if you need the root you can make it to translate this post of at111: 4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=686534&view=findpost&p=45257858
Thanks...

i am experiencing a problem after factory resetting the phone. APPS GETTING AUTO INSTALLED. ( i have google play auto update off. and install from unknown sources off too.) so i need to root my device with a new custom rom. and i guess that rooting with applications like kingroot wont help. after factory resetting first time i have done that several times, but still whenever i connect to the internet, after some time around 1-2 hours,(specially if the phone has internet connectivity but is not in use) the problem again starts. so please help if you can.

Fully Customization EBR Editor [Resize MediaTek Internal Storage from 1MB to 1TB]

Why share it :
I wrote this for my own MediaTek device because there were no EBR with 32GB internal storage nor there is any tool to achieve the goal.
How it works :
The program is simple as entering how much of space you need in your internal storage. The tool also let you know current size of your EBR partition size.
Why no full tutorial :
If you didn't know, there is also some tutorial on this forum to replace your EBR files. That's why I'm not discussing more off-topic.
Ok, I'm willing to use this tool :
Download and unzip the attachment and COPY your original EBR1/EBR2 files inside program folder and then start it.

I've had to edit EBR files on my old MTK phone, I just got another a couple of weeks ago. Old phone had phone 4GB phone memory, .99GB (internal storag) allocated for apps and the remaining was called phone storage. I was able to get 2.5GB to work on the 4GB phone. Funny thing, new phone is supposed to have 16GB phone memory, it also came with a very same space for apps, only .99 or .98 GB. I was able to experiment using your script, I was initially tried 12GB, everything seemed to sync up okay, but then after one day, services started to stop. I went back to 6GB and everything seems okay. One curious thing with my new phone, if I define 6GB or 12GB for the internal storage, the phone storage never changes. The phone is Cubot S308 with MTK6582 processor.

No more manual resizing!! Thanks bro :highfive:
Any way to resize the system partiton? Also your tool shows my current storage is 1gb, which is false, its actually 2gb. Whats up with that?
@-iHackerz-
Wht do you need to resize system partition?
Thank you very much
A million thanks for you...
I searched all over the internet for repartitioning my A210 and ended up in softbricking it...
I just thought I would end up being a noob....
With your EBR editor and a little knowledge about SP Flash Tools, I just achieved 7.37GB (created as 7.5GB using your editor and was 2.5GB before) of apps storage and 5.01GB of Internal Storage from my 16GB internal storage.
I already own a 32GB SD and so there is no space problem for me now.
I don't have any more words to thank you.
I really never thought that i could do this in a day.:angel:

If the phone was not rooted then a Data Factory reset from the recovery would fix the phone.
If it was rooted, still try to factory reset, if it doesn't work try to reflash the stock from.

This is the method for Xiaomi Mi 4. If that is not your phone DO NOT USE THIS METHOD and post your full phone model here.
Fastboot fixing method for Xiaomi Mi 4:
STEP 1:
Download the ROM flashing tools and the full ROM pack, unzip after downloading is completed.
Download ROM Flashing Tools
Download latest fastboot developer version for Mi 4
(Please check if the file suffix is '.tgz'. Please rename it to '.tgz' if the suffix is '.gz')
Turn off the phone, press and hold the Volume down key and the Power button at the same time to enter Fastboot mode, then connect the phone to a computer.
The screen should look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
STEP 2:
Double click on the zip file after downloading is completed to decompile it. Open the folder of the ROM pack, and copy its address on the computer.
STEP 3:
Decompile and install the ROM flashing tools after downloading is completed (if there’s a security prompt, please select Allow).Open MiFlash.exe and paste the address copied in the last step into the address bar. Click on the first button to Refresh, and MiFlash will automatically recognize the phone. Then click the second button to flash.
STEP 4:
Wait until the progress bar on MiFlash is green, which means the ROM is successfully flashed, and the phone will automatically boot.
Source: here

(T285M,....modified system image for debloat etc-tar.md5 fails on flash in odin-not sure if some signing is needed-have the system folder if anyone interested...took out some apps, added csc folder with some xmls for control on data on off auto for mms, added two fonts...nothing more than that)
also see page 14 here

I just got my T285 yesterday. Noticed that in Setting, App manager I can move some app to sdcard but after restart, the moved app disappear.
Sorry if I have mislead anyone.
Now I am also facing memory shortage with this 8G device.
I have lost all hope for root on the SM-T285. Why such a low profile device gets a locked down bootloader annoys me.
However I'm trying to customize its system.img, I'm stuck though as Heimdall fails at 3% upload everytime I try to use a repacked system.img file. Flashing the original image works fine though so it could just be in the way that I repackage the image. tune2fs shows some difference which I am still trying to sort out.
I'm willing to help if there are things that I can try.

i found this on web, seems fake but, uses a beta root file of cf auto root webpage:
HOW TO ROOT GALAXY TAB A 7.0 (2016)
Note: This is a developing story. As far, we have found only one way to root your phone. But if someone invent more tricks of rooting in future, we will try to share with you.
You can install Chainfire’s SuperSU manually using a custom recovery such as TWRP (In this method we are showing how to install SuperSU.zip file with TWRP). If you are interested, check details below but take a backup of your device’s data first. This method should work with any variant of tab including SM-T280 (Wi-Fi only) and SM-T285 (4G/Wi-Fi)
Step One: Download Chainfire’s SuperSu.zip file.
Step Two: Copy the downloaded zip file to your device.
Step Three: Turn off your Samsung device and boot into recovery mode (boot device by pressing and holding down volume up, home, and power keys at the same time to enter in recovery mode).
Step Four: Take a backup, it is optional but important because if something happen bad in rooting, backup file will help you to restore previous state easily. So press ‘backup’ button, check all the boxes for backing up everything and then swipe to start the game.
Step Five: Once you have taken the backup file, press ‘install’ button, locate the SuperSu.zip file and confirm you want to install it.
Step Six: Reboot the device and your device is rooted.

Yeah it's fake. To even be able to follow that, you need a custom recovery, but there is no way to install custom recovery right now with a locked bootloader.
