Hi Guys!
I recently changed from the good old N5 to the S6. Pretty happy so far, but there's one bummer for me. It's the Homebutton.
For me it only works when I hit the center and it does feel a little bit wobbly. Sometimes I hit the Homebutton and the screen doesn't start just because I didn't hit it in the center.
Am I the only one experiencing this?

yes it happened to me. It is common problem as far i can see, some of my friends have a little loose button, some a little bit more and some don't have any issues. It was really frustrating but i changed my immediately at the store and now everything is perfect with my phone. One friend didn't get a new phone but they repaired the first one and now it is okay. I only encountered that problem with the normal S6, not the edge version

Hello all,
I have one short question: with my keyboard closed, I have a little movement in the corners when i push it around. Is that normal or not?
Thank you.
Apparently so...
Iv not got the phone yet but theres been allot of talk about it.
I have it too, so I suppose it's 'normal'.

It's not "normal" to say this, but I'm glad that there is nothing wrong only with my device. I was alredy thinking about sending it back for service...
Its a slider mechanism - if it didnt have any play then some would break!! Manufacturing tolerences etc need to be taken into account. A samll amount of play is fine.

I've discussed this already with the HTC service and they told me to send the unit to them. They will change sliding mechanism. My phone is currently in the service with this "feature" :-(
I hope they will fix it. Such a good phone, but this really looks like manufacturing problem.
anyone knows if they are going to release a "fixed" version?
How much is a little movement, my TP moves around but not to the point I would say it's an issue

1-3 millimeters, depends on the pressure.
When you press the volume button on the left side, it rolls about 1-2mm. When you press it more, it is about 3 mm. I guess this is too much.
Official statement is that some kind of allowance is normal and ok, but there is no strict direction from HTC - public statement.
Well if they consider this to be normal, I think there won't be any "fixed" version available, but as you know, all manufacturers make improvements during the time. So maybe ...
Okay thanks
Like I say it's currently not an issue, but will keep an eye on it
I realize this is an old thread, but I wanted to resurface the issue. I've had a new Fuze for the past few months, that had very little 'play' when pressing buttons.
I recently did a warranty exchange and the refurb wobbled considerably more than the original phone. A little bit of wobbling is expected, but it was downright unbearable to use, and I have since asked for a replacement.
Much like a poster in this thread, I would do something as simple as hit the volume up button and the rest of the phone would move around significantly. This is not normal, in my opinion!
I've had my touch pro for nearly two weeks now. I'm liking it a lot.
Now, in my unfortunate hamfistedness, I've managed to drop it. Didn't seem like it'd caused much of a problem.
But I've noticed that the front screen 'wobbles' a bit. Not much, and not enough to be particularly annoying, but I was wondering if there was an easy way to tighten it up again, so it stopped doing that?
Mine has done this from new.
With the device in your right hand with screen facing up the slide part of the screen wobbles on the left side.
Annoying.
Well, I must confess I didn't notice whether it did or not initially, so I'm only assuming it didn't.
It's pretty trivial, and doesn't really affect anything, but ... well, would rather it didn't, really

ok....mine too... but it seems most sliders have that. it was very tight the first few days, but after quite some sliding the screen is slightly off center to the right shifted. and it wobbles a bit.
my kaiser had the same issue....but i had to drop that one for that...
I too have the same problem. was wondering if one of the cases that has the keyboard cover would prevent this wobble or some sort of skin. Thanks and sorry for bringing back such an old thread.
Does anyone else have loose home button on their phone? It makes noises when you lightly tap on it and doesn't sound too good. I've also went to the T-Mobile store today and noticed my home button is more flush than the both display models they had. Anyone else face the same issue?

If it feels off go in and have them pull out a brand new one. When there in store. If yours feels off, have it replaced! I do this with any new phone. I tediously inspect it. If I think something feels off I have them show me a new one and compare. That way I can show them right then and there, this is why you're going to give me another phone lol

I have a feeling my front glass is slightly misaligned. Will be checking the store model to make sure, as the corner by the back button seems a bit sunken in. The frame definitely comes up over the glass a little.
I was just in the Samsung Experience Store and noticed that of the four regular S6s they had, three had loose homebuttons. The Edges seemed fine though.
My t mobile version is a bit loose as well. It feels like a minor issue but it is pretty annoying....
I picked up my S6 this morning and have noticed that a light tap on the home button makes a noise. It's annoying and it makes an otherwise solid feeling, quality phone feel cheap. I guess I'll try taking it back to see if I can get another one that doesn't have this issue.
The frame is suppose to slightly overlap the screen by the way
I actually returned my T mobile version for another, and the other has the exact same loose button
Well i noticed it after you guys wrote about it here. I have a S6 32Gig White, a friend has a S6 64gig Black version, i checked his S6 and he doesn't have this issue.
But honestly, it is not like i tap on the button all the time, you can only hear it if you slightly tap on it. If you fully press it, you don't even hear it. It is also not like it makes any sounds when moving the phone, therefore i am not going through all the pain to get this replaced just to receive another one with a loose button

Yeah, if I didn't have this Edge without the issue it might not bother me so much
I went back to the T-Mo store and their display model had it. One of the guys opened another one up for me and it too was affected. I ended up walking out with the phone I had. Not gonna make them open a bunch of boxes until they find one that doesn't. At this point the ratio makes it seem like the loose button is normal and any that aren't are the odd ones. Ah well.

That's unfortunate. Perhaps I'll keep mine for a while and deal with it then swap? Wait on a different production run or something.
Mine is nice and tight, but already scratched up. I mean my fingers are rough but jeez. Some soft material on there.
mine seems pretty solid, sorry to hear you should defintely bring it back

I guess...
Well i was wrong about it not bothering me It started annoying me after you guys wrote about it...
I went to a T-Mobile store to check if the devices had the same problem, and yes 2 of them had, 1 did not...
Dunno if it is worth to send it back now and wait up to 6 days to receive a replacement that has probably the same issue -.-
P.s. After pressing the button down very hard a few times, the right side stopped making noises, the mid now also seems to be fine, it can only be heared if touching the very left side of the button...
Same issue here. The left side of the home button rattles a little bit when i press lightly on it. Should i exchange or is it normal?

Does it bug you?
On my third t mobile version, all three with loose buttons.
Hello! I've had my galaxy s6 for 2 months now, and I'm faily happy with it (mainly due to the great camera). However, my galaxy s6 have a few quality issues. First and foremost my home button is loose, which makes the impression of quality far less than if it had been stiff and firm as some other galaxy s6's I've tried. However I've seen quite a few people suffer with this, so is it any great chances of getting one without it?
Secondly, my IR blaster has a bad cutout in the aluminium.
Thirdly, my screen somethimes gets to an extreme brightness which makes the black levels go zero to none.
So is it worth go to the store and get an replacement or get them to try and fix it?
I'd get it changed if the button is loose never mind the other stuff
Yes, I'll probably have a talk with them. Anybody else who have thoughts about this? Is your home button firm?

Mines sturdy, you've not got a clone have you because one of the things which give those away is the loose button
Got my s2 sport 3 days ago and today I noticed the bezel is kind of flimsy. Not that it rotates more easily but more like it is not that well attached to the case anymore. Feels as if it was meant to be pressed as a buttton rather than only rotate.
Anyone else with this issue? Is this "normal"?
I had that issue on the the first one I bought. Returned it and got another

Thanks. After seeing other posts of people having similar or even worse problems with the bezel, I asked Amazon for a replacement. Now I have to return my current gear s2.

Not very happy... Will see if the replacement hasn't the same problem.
I have the same issue. The bezel makes a click noise when I touch it. I didn't recognize it the first days when I played with my device. I will get my replacement tomorrow so I can compare 1:1 what's normal and what's not.

Yes, I also didn't have the clicking on the bezel at first, then it suddenly became more "raised" and started to click when touched.
Please, let us know if your second watch is better. Will get my replacement by next monday, but I plan to send back the old one on saturday, so no chance to compare them.
Thanks.
Can anybody who thinks they have a flimsy bezel tell me if you scroll with the rotating bezel slowly but not too slow in the "app circle" back and forth, does it sometimes go the wrong direction you're spinning?
I am experiencing this with the Verizon Gear S2 3G. Sometimes its more than one time if I keep spinning in the same direction. It seems it got into a loop or something. Planning on bringing it back and I got it 3 days ago. I can press mine down like it is a button. I had the S2 bluetooth before and I don't really remember that happening.
Nope. Mine only was sort of loose but the rotation response had no issues. The replacement is better.
Ok I'm gonna go bring it in tomorrow
