I got this device today
Seller said its maxx
its a 32gb phone. but cpu-z state it xt1080 (maxx is supposed to be xt1080m), and show battery capacity 2130mah
back cover also state xt1080,
when connected to pc, it also say 1080
only about phone say droid maxx under model number
2nd, is there any notification led on it? as I couldnt find one or option to enable/disable it.
Did he replace the battery?

I have a droid maxx but cpu-z write that is a droid ultra...this because i think that only battery change from droid ultra, the software is the same and is for this reason that all other software find the device like droid ultra. if your smartphone have the backside with matt kevlar is a droid maxx, if is polished is ultra version. Other way to see if is ultra or maxx is if battery can resist two or more days and the droid maxx have more thickness than ultra.
ultra and the maxx have exact same software only difference in the hardware is the battery size.

Curious if anyone knows if the Standard Dock with Rapid Wall Charger for the Droid Bionic (89497N) will work with the Atrix 2?
The reason I ask is because it seems that one of the other dock accessories is made to be compatible with both phones ("Motorola 89508N Battery Dock with HW4X Battery and Rapid Wall Charger for DROID BIONIC and ATRIX 2)
Anyone have any luck with this?
Thanks,
Rick
OK.. Well, the standard dock for the Bionic does NOT fit... HOWEVER...
Motorola has re-designed the HD docks, and now offers a universal dock that fits a bunch of models.. I picked up the 89512N...
Motorola ATRIX 2 MB865
Motorola DROID 3
Motorola DROID 4
Motorola DROID Bionic
Motorola DROID X2 MB870
Motorola Electrify
Motorola Photon 4G
Motorola Xyboard 10.1
Motorola Xyboard 8.2
There appear to be two models: 89512N, which is simply the "HD Dock", and includes an HDMI out port on the back, as well as an audio out, and a power adapter.
There is also the 89511N, which is the "HD Station". That includes HDMI out, audio out, 3 USB ports (for Webtop), and a power adapter.
89512N is priced around $49, and the 89511N is priced around $99

Will either of these fit the phone with the Otterbox Defender Case? Assuming not does any one know a dock that will?

Webtop hack, bluetooth KB + mouse and your standard charger is the only real option if you don't want to be taking the case off all the time. It's not a bad setup really.
So why didn't the Bionic dock work, did it not line up or something else, cause some of them are dirt cheap.

Doesnt fit/line up
Thats weird since the new dock says it fits Bionic and Atrix 2, I wonder if they have put some play in the connectors on the new universal dock.
Hi everyone, I've done a lot of research but I figured I would just ask here.
I'm currently deciding between the Razr HD for $200 or Razr HD Maxx for $300, both off Craiglist, both $50 bucks already off what the sellers asked for.
Does the extra $100 warrant the increased battery life and 16gb storage?
I'm getting tired of my Thunderbolt, and use Google Voice for texting so I like to keep 4GLTE on at all times.
I also am grandfathered into the Verizon unlimited data plan so future upgrade/contract extensions are out of the picture.
I'd get the Razr HD if I knew for sure that I could replace the battery and probably back cover with the HD Maxx version, but as far as I know this hasn't been done.
Also at the above prices, are there any other phones I can get that would be an equal or better option?
What are y'alls thoughts and opinions? Thanks for taking the time to read this!
tl;dr HD for $200 or HD Maxx for $300 and are these actually good prices
Get the Maxx HD. It's well worth it for the battery life alone.
You are not your iPhone 5

I just switched from the Galaxy nexus to the HD Maxx for the battery life. OMG I cannot believe the battery. Im not talking 10% better I am literally talking 95% better. I would not own another phone after this HD Maxx. The money is well worth it. I got mine from wirefly on 2 yr with big red for 150.00
HD maxx swap has been done, but its slightly complicated and requires a part that u just can't got out and order (maxx back cover.). so basically it isn't worth it and get the maxx hd. Used at $300 is reasonable
Hello,
Is it always interested to buy a Razr HD today or is it too old ?
Tanks
I love my RAZR Maxx HD. Amazing battery life and great phone overall. If I were buying a phone now, I would probably buy the Ultra or the Maxx (2013), especially considering that the Maxx is now only $449 off contract.
Sent from my RAZR Maxx HD
hello,
thanks for the response
in France we can't find the MAXX, so only the Razr HD is available.
without the big battery size, is it interesting too ?
Razr HD Maxx
I think without the big battery, it does not make much sense.
Wait for a few months, and lay your hands on the Droid Maxx (the latest 5" phone in this series).
hi, i've bought mine at topachat.fr, i've got it since one week and I don't regret,
the phone is better than my nexus 4 who lives 3 months ...
I've root it with an exploit and use xposed framework to google experiance my rom and I'm very fan at all...
4G working great too
Hi ! Anyone know? I currently use Moto X but I need a higher capacity's battery. My friends ask me to get a Zerolemon, but I don't know whether is it available or not. When is Zerolemon battery case for Moto X available?
Hey guys, I kind of doubt it but some of you may remember me as I released a tool for the Razr HD back it was new. I was an Atrix HD user. I have gone through several phones since then and I am really sick of locked bootloaders. So I bought the Maxx HD and I am getting rid of my S4. So I am assuming the phones battery is probably pretty bad. The guy has had the phone since it was released so I am kind of doubting that the battery is what it once was. My question for everyone is, has anyone replaced this battery? How much did it cost if you did? Or does anyone have a recommendation of a place that can replace the battery?
i would look up the battery on ebay for cost/purchase and find a video on youtube on how to do it, if you are so inclined.
i believe you can also send it away to moto and have them do it if you want.

Yea I priced it out. It would actually be cheaper to send it out to moto and have them do it. That said I talked to the swappa seller and he said that the battery is still good and lasts a full day no problems! IF it does become weak then I will send it to Moto.
