Official Play Store Cases [PICS][THOUGHTS] - Adopted Slim - Google Nexus 6P - Nexus 6P Accessories

I bought both the graphite Nexus 6P case with the microfiber textured back, as well as the adopted slim case.
Pictures are gonna be difficult for the moment, just wanted to make some quick observations.
They both fit super snug and feel as if they are the exact same case, but with different textured backs.
Button pressing isn't difficult at all on either, like I had heard...
The microfiber backed Nexus case is definitely more unique and nicer looking, but it doesn't provide the grip that I thought it would on the back. The material on the back feels like felt, and it seems like it will get messed up over time, but rubbing it back and forth didn't affect it. The lack of grip really saddened me because it looks so cool. It's not slippery by any means, just doesn't give you a confident feeling.
The Adopted slim case has more textured sides, while the Google case is smooth. This is strange because they are the exact same button layout.
The back material on the Adopted reminds me of the matte Ringke Slim cases that I love so much. It definitely provides more grip on the back of the phone, and a cleaner look overall.

Thanks for the pics!

I bought the adopted slim just to have something until more cases come out but I like it so much on my phone I think it'll be all I need.

Thanks. I got the Google case in carbon like above. No phone or case yet to hold. Thanks for the pics though.

I got the adopted case as well. I don't think i will be getting any other case. Fits like a glove. However, it is a bit rough on the screen protectors that go all the way to the edges

That's aluminum, right? Can you take a picture of the front, please. Also does this case add much thickness to any of the dimensions?
Edit: NM, found some pics in another thread.

The case is really tight. Fits like a glove. I'm content not even trying any other cases.
Don't mind the awful screen protector, waiting for my TGSP to come.

After trying a different case. The buttons do feel mushy, especially the power button. The Adopted has been put away..

I've been looking to get the Adopted case but it's been sold out since launch everytime I visit.
https://store.google.com/product/adopted_case_n6p

I'm perfectly happy with my Adopted case. Just a touch of texture on the edges, fits snug.
I was a little bit afraid that the microfiber case would kind of stick in my pocket. Any issues there?

Does the case allow you to obtain a screenshot with the case on? I own the microfiber-backed case, and the fitment of the case is poor, and the case needs to be removed to take a shot.

Same here, taken some with Adopted and no issues so far.

Anyone have an issue with this case scratching the power button/volume rockers when taking it off? I've heard of this in the Android Central forums.

The plastic is very very very smooth like butter, but has friction between hard surfaces..so if you stick the phone in your hand with the case on itll slide if you move your hand back & forth..the edge of the case barely covers the phones curved glass, Im guessing to put it in and tale it out, has no play, and just seems like a good ol' hardcase
The more i handle it,the plastic should get grippier, ill update on that
No snap, crackle, pop noises from this case, put it on and done
+1 to a simple case, as my first case for the phone its clean&simple
Looks like the sides come up farther than on the ringke case. But looks good otherwise.

Just got the same case last night. I HATE using cases but this one is really nice. I would absolutely recommend one. Fits like a glove and feels great. It doesn't attract lint like some plastic cases.

...no,
Add another thumbs up to the Diztronic. My first case from them I, that I decided to get based on comments here. So far the best case I've seen for the Nexus 4 (at least until a decent 2-component case like the Otterbox Commuter etc. comes along).
Nexus 4 Diztronic Hardshell Case Review
$9.99- Amazon Link
$9.99- Diztronic Link
Design
5/5
First of all, this case is EXTREMELY thin. It's only 1mm thin, making it 25% thinner than the original TPU case. The back has a non glossy Diztronic logo on it and a slot cut open for the camera and speakers. It is a bit slippery, but won't catch lint on it or attract finger prints. Unlike other shell cases, this one isn't hard to take in and out. However, you definitely want to take it out periodically to make sure debris doesn't get caught in it and scratch the case. The edges of the case just barely go over the screen making a bit of a "lip". The lip is barely there and you may be able to fit a screen protector on it. The buttons are left exposed on the case making pressing the power button and volume rockers very easy.
Protection
4/5
This case does a decent job at protecting the phone while still keeping a thin profile. The top and bottom of the case are left somewhat vulnerable, yet I understand how it would be tough to cover that part while making the case a "hardshell". Keep in mind this case is only 1mm thick, so I'm grading the protection based on the case's target audience.
Final Verdict
4.5/5
This may be the thinnest case to ever hit the market. At $9.95 you get a lot of bang for your buck; this is a high quality case made with premium materials. You can tell Diztronic took the time to make sure they got everything right. This case is so thin you won't even notice it while still giving you some protection.
Def the best case so far, for the money

Casemate carbon fibre case updated 28thmay with review

I dont know why someone didn't staelrt a thread on here about the amazing (but expensive) case. its an aluminium case with a real carbon fibre back and in my eyes it amazing.
ill do a full review on tuesday once I recieve mine
Updated 28th of may 2013
So I've just received my casemate in the post and first impressions was that the box was beautiful

}
Just upon opening the box i realised how beautiful it actually is.
The carbon fibre on the back is 100% real carbon fibre.
The black plastic around the sides is a real bad fingerprint magnet. As you can see
And at the bottom of the back piece is a brushed aluminium plate with the casemate logo and bevelled edges around the back speaker but just as alot of cases the case is muffled the sound coming from the speaker when its on a flat surface but its not as bad as other cases I reviewed
What i only found out upon receiving the case that its a two piece case which is a big plus for me and it looks like theres enough of a gap between the screen and case to allow a glass screen protector.
The silver plastic buttons on the upper part of the case are really easy to press
The inside of the back piece is a nice rubbery feeling which would provide a small shock resistant and just protects the phone.
Over all the phone fits extremely well and that i would recommend everyone to get it. The only bad thing is that its a slippy case but that shouldn't stop you from buying it.
Heres more pictures of the phone in the case
That's looks not bad! Is it bulky?
I'm thinking of getting a d30 case though. Apparently it offers exceptional impact protection while maintaining a slim form factor.

Look at the photo above the line beginning with "Over all the phone fits...." showing the inside of the case.
They misspelled "pending" on the inside of the case.
That's a nice case indeed but.. how did they miss that?
Spell-check is also panding.
Nice case. How difficult do you think it would be to remove the logo from the brushed aluminum? And please let us know your results with the glass screen protector (and what one you used).

Just received my Spigen Neo Hybrid case. Pictures inside.

Hey guys, I just received the new case today. I picked it up off Amazon for $14.99. The case looks good and is very well built. The case looks and feels premium.
I went with the Metal blue color for the outer ring. As a bonus, Spigen threw in 3 screen protectors for free! The screen protectors alone retail for $9.99 so its a nice freebie.
Now, I just need the S5 to get here.

The ring around the phone is some sort of super hard plastic. Its quite rigid. The Metal slate color I received is very dark, and as close to black as I'll get.

I got the Spigen Tough Armor for s5 (which I love, super protective and the gunmetal one is gorgeous). It looks like these two cases have the same battery door cutoit, so I can say that it is tricky to get the battery door open for sure. If you don't have nails expect to have a little difficulty until you get the hang of it. That's the only qualm I have about it though.

it is a little more difficult but the quality of the case outweighs that
I got mine too. Unboxing and first look video on my youtube channel
Seems far bulkier than the one for the iPhone 5 which is a bit of a shame.
Still a nice case tho
I bought this case also.. not so much impressed with it. It feels nice but a few things I don't like:
- It extends the phone out to the sides, typing and using the screen is more cumbersome as you hit the edge of that case that are higher then the screen. In other words the screen is not flush with the case. They did this to protect the screen if you lay the phone down.
- Getting the charge port to open is a pain in the neck -- very hard
- Makes the phone much wider then it is.
I also got the S-View case from Samsung and it's OK but flap won't stay closed all the way which sucks.

It feels solid but if you think about it, if it were to fall and hit on the corner then it might split apart and not bounce like a TPU case which would maybe damage the phone more likely.
But I like almost as well as the Incipio Octane case I have.
I like that you can feel the metal buttons on the side
This looks like the exact one offered by "Storm-Buy" on Amazon. I imagine it's from the same Chinese company. Either way I have this case on my phone and I personally like it.
Now it's not perfect but it does what I really need it to do. I was looking for a clear case that would show off the back, while protecting my phone from basic scratches and bumps, and not adding too much bulk. I don't think it's going to be as good as other cases for drops and falls but works fine for minor protection.
You can see what looks like leftover marks, probably from the manufacturing process. Not really super noticeable but you can see them. Since it is a 2-piece snap-on case there is a bit of flex by the volume button and it is a bit slippery. But the case is solid and snug on the phone. It also provides a lip on top so the screen is protected when face down on a flat surface. It's also not likely to come apart. I actually have a hard time taking it off that I feel I'm going to break it when I try. For $8 I'm not going to complain.
If you are a bit rougher on you phones, then I recommend a different one but for basic scratches this one isn't terrible.
I've been using this case for about a week now and I think it is fine. It will definitely protect the wood back (ebony) from scratches., and it was inexpensive -- I doubt it will offer much protection from a drop. I'll move on when I see another clear case that is deemed to be tough and low profile.
The ebony wood back is very very nice - very glad I selected that option.
Mine shipped and never made it. They gave me a quick refund. I was impressed they refunded my money so fast.

Just received my fitbag in Rave brown

Picked up a fitbag from Amazon because I'm trying the caseless approach with the 6P. This one came from the amazon store, they ship from Germany so delivery was about 2.5 weeks from purchase date.
They've got tons of colors and materials to chose from, all of which have a microfiber lining on the inside. First impressions are very positive its stiched together very nicely and the Rave brown is super soft and a dark khaki like color.
If anyone's looking for a good pouch I recommend you check fitbag out.

It's not meant to be used in the bag, you take it out to use it. For me it works well with the setup because I'm not a case fan, but I like to have some pocket protection. Paired with the G watch R i can still see everything going on with the phone. Some people like the pouch because you get the full body protection perks when not in use, and you get the naked phone when in use

Yea, it fits snug to the body, but its really easy to slide in an out of the bag. Just push up from the bottom and it'll pop up far enough to take it out

I ordered this fit bag as well, for the same reason as you. One question, do you carry it a lot in your front pocket of your pants? I'm planning to do so but the stories about bended phones worries me. Right now I have a hard case which adds some sturdiness to it.

Yup I keep it in the front left pocket when carrying it. After carrying a nexus 6 last year though I'm used to taking the phone out when I sit down. So far I haven't had any issue with the 6P
